Wagner Ring

This is a barebones app that simply gives you a midi clip of a leitmotif Cant remember the Ring motif Just scroll down the Rheingold motifs find The Ring and click You will hear the circular shape of the Ring motif Great for beginners discovering Wagners Magum Opus great for the cognoscenti who have a brain burp and cant think of something If youre walking down the street trying to remember a motif and who among us hasnt whip this little app out and look it up For the next release it would be great to have a search box Its suboptimal to have to scroll thru 4 lists to find a motif You have to know what opera that motif appears in then scroll to find it Also a search box could show you multiple hits where that motif reappears And it would be useful to use the Derryck Cooke names which most hardcore Wagnerians are accustomed to for the main motifs I couldnt find Wotans Frustration for example But shortcomings aside its a useful little app for anyone who loves Wagners Ring and wants a handy tool              A great addition to a Wagnerians bag of tools

Its an excellent concept for an app and as others have pointed out its great as a reference tool I was hoping for a sound board that would let me deploy Wagnerian orchestral leitmotifs as needed in life but the midi piano sounds so lifeless No collection of midi files is worth 5 but the collection and organization of the app is pretty good and leaves the door open to at least full orchestra midi files        Very bare bones
