It took me a couple hours of careful searching through the Mac App Store for a suitable weather forecast app and THIS IS THE ONE I wanted one without bloat like prety pictures of scenery and wallpapers I was looking for a tight clean interface for the current observations and short the term weather but one that d also let me dig in for lots of detail I especially needed a long term forecast WeatherMan does all that and much more Since I use a cellular data network for Internet access I also appreciate that it uses relatively low bandwidth One thing I d appreciate seeing in a future release is the ability to disable radar map downloads when other data is updated to save on even more data This app runs perfectly on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro laptop using MacOS Sierra                     Very Nice WX App gyropilot

I ve enjoyed this app for years but the latest version has removed the temps from the forecast That s very bad and makes the app useless to me         Forecast has no temps randcraw

I do have the paid version of this app and have tried and tried to like it but have tried several times to get support through the website with never an answer The app shows incorrect time no matter which city and now primarily shows Celsius instead of Fahrenheit for the United States I totally give up         Incorrect information and no support JackieCoKo

First no international cities now instead of temperatures These folks are very quick in acknowledging problems via email but very slow in actually fixing the problems It s one of the only menu bar apps for weather Don t use the dock hated that waste of screen for years and always have it completely hidden As always it s sad when an upgrade is actually a downgrade it you pay for an app and the same version you ve paid for breaks software writers have an obligation to fix it in a reasonable amount of time When the actual FUNCTIONALITY of an app is broken it really should be fixed faster than this is taking     Now instead of a weather forecast davyhouston

You fixed the problem with temperature reporting however now the international cities data DOES NOT LOAD and crashes the app FIX IT     What happened to the international cities tmeyer

The weather settings for this show at least a ten degree differnce than any other app How can two different weather stations in the same city have such different readings There s no way to set another station instead for my location Lame     What the heck Meetafet

I used this app in the early 2000 s and liked it but it broke with OS updates and it appeared to no longer be supported Seeing this newer version I again made the purchase in Dec 2015 At purchase it is broken The radar image display fails to function No image is displayed in the radar window It was a primary criterion for my selection of a weather app since many do not include it The radar image to be displayed is designated within the app using a url and can be changed If I paste the same url used by this app that provided with the app into a web browser the radar image is displayed fine So it is an app problem Alternative radar image urls that I tried also fail to display within the app I contacted the developer and received no response within the week A theft of 0 99 The temp displayed on the dock icon also sometimes fails to update to match that diplayed within the app itself     broken jsmith !

I ve been using WeatherMan since before it was even in the App Store It has become indispensable to me Although many developers have made good faith efforts to provide weather applications and some are quite striking I don t think anyone other than AfterTen has hit the perfect balance of functionality and elegance WeatherMan provides me exactly the weather information I need to know while making easily available weather information that I might need to know For example current conditions are available at a glance A short term forecast is a click away a longer term forecast is just another click away Data for the last twenty four hours another click There are impressive customization options available You can pretty much dictate how the app presents weather information to you in the Dock If you are serious about weather this is the correct app for you                     Indispensable Desktop Weather App Russ415

I have had weatherman for years way before it became an app I kept updating it because it was simple and it worked About a week ago it had a glitch which the developer just fixed and I have my reliable app back again It isn t fancy to look at but it gives you the info you want without taking up a lot of space It gives you alerts etc Thumbs up                 Good little app jb_bell

I used earlier version of this program for several years and though it did everything I wanted I know the author had trouble a few years ago keeping up with changes to how the source data was served up They would change something and the Weatherman was broken for a day or two The author was very quick and responsive to updates and addressing those issues but I stopped using the program for two or three years Nothing better ever came along I am happy to have my old friend back and running in Yosemite                     Very happy to see this program back Jay-mon

I have used WeatherMan for years and found it to be essential in planning my daily activities The streamlined interface expressing pertinent data lets me know right away what the weather is and what it will be in the near future I am sure there are other good weather apps out there but I have been so satisfied with WeatherMan that I haven t felt the need to change Running Weathermenu in the menu bar keeps me up to date all day and more detailed information is only a click away It s one of those apps that makes the mac so great                     My Go To Weather App BVD221

I ve used WeatherMan for some time and have found that the updates have continuously improved the performance I can add almost any location that I want and get accurate weather forecasts When I ve had problems emails to the developer have resulted in vast improvements I don t understand the negative reviews on this site As far as I m concerned this is the most useful weather app I ve seen                 Current Weatherman dwolter

Okay I kept waiting for this to be repaired Time to move on When you delete locations you are no longer using they magically reappear again FOREVER We were told this would be fixed but even in this most recent update this issue has not been fixed And there is no way to dismiss the weather warnings without clicking on them and opening them up which still freezes the app not always but too many times     Promised fixes but didn t deliver claidheamdanns

I really want to like this app as it s very convenient to have quick and easy access to the weather from the menu bar However I ve been using it for about two weeks now and the menubar menu that appears when you click on the icon is non responsive Please fix this and it should be close to perfect despite the subpar design UI         it stops responding metavoy

It s a great app in concept but I regrettably had to uninstall it tonight after spending many many months waiting for it to improve With the most recent version I noticed the fan running almost constantly in my MacBook Pro checking Activity Monitor WeatherMan is always using 99 of the processor I can t burn up my laptop over a weather app unfortunately so it must go This comes after enduring a myriad other issues with the app which were livable if not great But this processor hogging was the last straw I m looking for another app         I wish it worked better emckirdy

I have been using this app for quite a while What I like the most is the amount of information that is included with this app The small icon on the menu bar can be customized to show just what you want First is shows a picture icon that reflects the actual outside weather which is a sun or a moon and clouds or no clouds Then it has a small icon that will incicate any weather alerts You click on the icon and it gives you all you need to know for areas from here to the next state like flooding or snow or whatever Then is has hi s and lows and you can have it in writing cloudy or clear The dock shows a slightly bigger icon with the same info as above but if you click on it it will give you even more info like radar maps I have not seen a better weather app anywhere especially for the price It is very apparent that this developer has put a lot of time and effort into this app                     I just wanted to say I love this app Missypaws

I purchased this app since the reviews were mostly positive But I disagree with the positive reviews I emailed the developer thru the website AND separately from the contact email address and have not heard back from the developer at all in the 1 week that I sent both emails The weather icon does not display in the menu bar or in the dock It is only a yellow question mark Additionally the temperature is off and even though it says it was updated a few minutes ago it does not update You can click update now in the menu bar icon and it does not It seemed from the pics of the app in the app is filed with info but I am not able to get the info in the app as displayed in the preview pics I live in the 8th largest city in the USA so it is not because I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere Non existent tech support from the developer I am still trying to find a decent weather menu app that will actually update the temperature correctly surprisingly difficult to find a working app The price of 0 99 for this app is NOT worth it     Poor quality app does not register correct temp or weather icon M. Been using Weatherman for years mostly because I love how you can keep track of many locations at one time Each panel shows current weather forecast extended forecast and radar images just to name the most common features for each location So for my wife you frequently travels to Chicago my mom in New York mother in law in California and my favorite fishing spots throughtout the country I can see the weather for all of them at one time The developer has been good about fixing bugs too which most of the time are due to the changes in how the weather service broadcasts its information not problems with the software So for the patient among us he always comes through and keeps this great app alive Thanks Dean Eddie                     Great Custom Weather App AllFreysMustDie
