There`s a New Way to Get Real-Time Business and Finance News -- From The Wall Street Journal With the What s News app, it s now easy to make time for breaking stories, business alerts, markets ...
Unfortunately this is another WSJ ploy to clickbait you into subscribing just like their main app Yes its good to pay for content since thats how they can employ journalists but dont lure us into using the app by disguising the paywall Deleted immediately     Not worth the download
Good app Whats news is my favorite part of WSJ Get rid of the background graphics it makes it hard to read the text The clean uncluttered look of WSJ is why I like it and I hope the App follows suit              Lose the background graphics
I love the front page of the app the contrast is great white letters on dark pictures But reading the articles is painful gray letters on white background I deleted the app        Gray fonts on white background
For the first version it looks gooda basic at a glance summary of current top stories I find it ironic that LinkedIn isnt a supported option but Instagram is to share an article after all the WSJ and LinkedIn both cater to business people           Looks good
Cant get any real news without signing up     Hard to use
The regular app is much easier to navigate        Hard to use
Only has major equity indexes No individual stocks And if you want fixed income go to Bloomberg app        Pretty but
I cant put down this app it keeps me up to date with everything in the world It is easy to navigate compared to other news apps and I love the week in brief portion Impressive                 Easy to navigate
WSJ still trying to make print subscribers pay twice to get online version No way     Dont bother if youre a print subscriber
Update this app to remove ads for paid subscribers     23 mo does not remove ads
Fail     Requires a WSJ account
No extra junk in this app Its short sweet and to the point Here are the 10 headlines that matter today and the biggest points that matter Great for catching up on the news                 Clean and useful
Currently with ios9 this app doesnt support touch screen natively Although the touch scroll works fine on the main screen once it gets to the article touch doesnt work     The latest version doesnt support ios9
Well done this is a great on the go news update                 Solid
Intuitive simple easy to use and informative A solid digest of what need to know quickly                 Writer
Why are there 2 WSJ apps And why all the ads when we already pay so much for the subscription     Why not fix your other app
Did someone buy WSJ over the weekend Surely management knows this ad on the front screen is going to annoy loyal users     Ads Really
The last thing I expected to see when I opened this app were advertisements considering that you have to already be a paying WSJ Online customer to access content For being a business oriented media source they clearly failed at business basicsI guess understanding who are your target customers and why theyre using your product doesnt apply to the WSJ If theyre trying to generate revenue from nonpaying readers then maybe their strategy is just alright but I honestly wouldnt have bothered downloading the app if I didnt already have an active account Not sure how many nonpaying readers would actually be interested in this getting a subscription just to get this app     Ads really
I get that its kind of like watching the news this just leaves me wanting more like More control of navigating sections More battery friendly coding app ate up battery running in the background Not worth keeping     Nah
Update also the intro loading screen is unnecessary and takes far too long to enter the app One star for the full screen ad interrupting the browsing experience the WSJ subscription is not cheap I dont expect to have full screen ads forced upon me Maybe if this were a free news app etc I dont quite see the point of this app Its just the latest headlines from WSJ You could just get notifications from wherever or just look on WSJcom or their usual app Its not bad its ok designed its just pretty pointless IMO Rather than do things like this I wish they had fixed their main news app     Umm whats the point of whats news
The bite sized articles are a great way to keep up to date throughout the day I find it useful as a means of flagging articles I want to follow up on later                 Perfect for quick updates
Loving this app The quick versions of the days main stories provide a great morning brief and a vehicle for catching up throughout the day I dont have time to read the journal during the week The Whats News app is everything                 Smart quick sleek
Im a subscriber and I logged in It still tells me I have to be a subscriber to see anything There is no help or customer service option either I will be deleting this app     Doesnt work
Im a WSJ subscriber and thought this was going to be great BUT This app was supposed to be a short cut to news but takes too long to load Why do I need to see the photos for 10 seconds before getting the story At least its not locked in the newsstand app     Too slow
User interface is clean and slick Great tool to enjoy my news                 Coolness for my news
I am a print subscriber and I am upset I can not use this app My print login works on the main app but not here Sad     Need a digital subscription
Easy to use Super digestible Love how u can pin articles for later Great app Highly recommend                 WSJ still killing it
Visual interface for this app is awful Makes my stomach queasy every time I open it and the screen backgrounds are way too dark Never got to the news so dont know how any of that is Fire your Windows Vista programmers and try again     Yuck
This is a very nicely done app and works perfectly I like the concept and the UI design it is clean distinctive and functional One comment on the design the text of the articles seems to be in a larger font or perhaps wider line spacing or something than the headlines on the main screen I would like the text in the articles to be a bit denser I hope the WSJ lets the team that worked on this app rebuild the rather stale and clunky main WSJ app                 Great app
First I love the apps content Fresh with new stories every few hours it keeps you constantly up to date with minimal reading Frustrating however is the experience of navigating the app Simply put it doesnt scroll right While the UI is pretty on the surface there are deeper problems underlying it and until these are fixed it is incredibly difficult to even navigate through one story much less get yourself up to date on the news        Great Content Frustrating UI Bugs
Thank goodness someone finally got it right I have been dying for a News Reader app that allows me to stay updated while constantly on the move I am a young professional who is always looking for a best News app that isnt so time consuming I think my search is over They did a fantastic job building this and I love how clean it looks The ads are unbelievably easy to swipe up away too I was dedicated to my other brief news apps but I think this slick app has taken the number one spot                 WOW
The fine print does say full access for WSJ subscribers What it should say is you pretty much cant see anything useful in this app unless youre a subscriber So if youre not dont waste your time even downloading this app     Worthless if youre not a WSJ subscriber
Pls FIX the screen bug for ios9 Thanks     Great content but deadly bug
UI is busy Hard to read text against a background of graphics Switching to the full story presents a bright white screen as opposed to the dark themed background of the main page Will prove to be very fatiguing for the eyes Overall clunky Needs quite a bit more work before I use this regularly     Painful
Really like the concept of the app just enjoy content when you only have a few mins to catch up on world news however scrolling updown just doesnt function well at all        Fix the scrolling issue
Better than the main buggy Wsj app For starters it doesnt waste space on your phone like the WSJ app does This is similar to NYTNow in that it picks the trending headlines and cuts to the point Easier to fly through when going to a meeting than the main app Would be five stars without the annoying full screen ads that randomly pop up Only for WSJ subscribers              Easy to catch up
Lousy app Will not allow login using confirmed subscription credentials Whats the point     WSJ Whats News
This is my new favorite way to read the Wall Street Journal The app is updated quickly and has all the news I need to know right now Plus the design is beautiful                 Excellent app
I was hoping this would be a great app The WSJ iPhone app seriously disappoints which is sad since the iPad app is awesome Unfortunately I think that the way the production of this app went down is that someone who is out of touch thought that flashiness is what people want No we want easy to access clean simple news Unfortunately NYT beat you to market and already figured it out        More concerned with looks than news
