I downloaded the iPhone app first and loved it Now I got the iPad version and I must say it is a lot more fun to play and learn on a bigger screen 5 big stars because I really like the emphasis on correct writing of the strokes left to right or right to left makes a diff and the nice option to look up how to use the word in diff contexts I still don t get how test mode works but I would love for the app to have a test section right after each chapter Or have a little paragraph of words at the end of each chapter that encompasses all the words I have practiced That way I get excited at knowing the words I learned are being used in actual sentences and that inspires me to use it more                     Nice caroline_tk

I was excited when I saw this app I like the that it teaches the right stroke order and that it has the pinyin definition in small print and that you can hear the characters spoken in a native voice I wish it provided the option to learn traditional characters I was disappointed that it wasn t an option It would be nice to have the ability to record our voice to compare to the built in pronounciation sound files Not bad for a new release I too look forward to future updates                 Pretty good L Siemsen

If you want to learn to write Chinese characters using the proper stroke order then this is a good app But I think that more needs to be put into the app before it is worth the 5 The test mode only tests you on stroke order and not complete memorization of the characters To truly be able to write Chinese characters you need to be able to write characters in the right order without seeing them obviously             Good to learn stroke order natefl
