This concerns WPSFileReader Version 3 0 0 on a Mac running Yosemite 10 10 2 A friend sent me a wps document to edit Pages would not open it TextEdit opened it but displayed it incompletely WPSFileReader opened it including font sizes and styles After saving it from WPSFileReader as an RTFd file to preserve formatting I could open it in TextEdit or Pages 4 3 iWork 09 Surprisingly Pages 5 5 2 did not open it The way to go with wps files is to open them with WPSFileReader save as RTFd then open in TextEdit Piece of cake Worth the 3 bucks to be able to edit my friend s work                     Worth the 3 bucks BobonBay

This app worked to open my wps document but I was hoping this would convert my fonts and formatting and look like the original It does not maintain borders or font size just basic text If you re dealing with a document that is straight text with no variations in formatting this may work for you If you have other wps graphics and design in the document it becomes a copy and paste of just the text without any of your changes saved Not what I was hoping for         Only Converts Text AliciaDug
