Write 2 - The Best Note Taking App with Cloud Sync

You ruined a nice beautiful app that was functional with a crappy update that ruined the fonts with creation of duplicated files every time we make a change to a file This is insane Hope you revert back to the old app     Ruined the app with last update

Ive been using this app for years and used to love it for what it was a simple straitforward notes app that stayed synched with DB Now Im just irritated everytime I use it First of all this app now insists on synching to every file in my DB instead of just my folder of notes this clutters the app with filenames it cant even open and I dont want to see Ok if you want this but why cant I just choose which folders I want to sync Secondly the search feature used to be so easy Type in what youre looking for find the exact spots the term occurs click to seeedit that spot Now the search identifies the note in which the term occurs but doesnt show the exact location so I still have to open it and scroll through the whole thing to find it Then if I want to edit it I click on the note where I want to make the change And for some reason when the keyboard comes up the cursor jumps all the way back to the beginning of the note I have to scroll AGAIN through the whole thing to find my spot and make changes This is sooo annoying and unnessarily timeconsuming Thirdly when it synchs edited notes to DB it now creates duplicates of everything So I have my original note and 1 or more edited versions that show up again creating clutter and also confusion about which is the most uptodate and which I should be editing Not to mention all the unnecessary changes to the font etc that just make the whole thing more complex with no benefit Please let us have the option for the legacy version        Used to be the best

When I create a new file or add more info to an existing file that is linked to my Dropbox account it creates copies of the same file I have 10 of the same files within the Write App I have since deleted the copies from both Write and my Dropbox acct hopefully you can resolve this issue              Issues with Dropbox

Now that its been over a year since this little puppy was last changed for the worst isnt it time to officially declare it as abandonware and move on The website for its developer has never worked properly just like the new Write which makes any communication with him impossible If that doesnt scream abandonware then what would     RIP Write

Unfortunately version 30x is not working out so well for me theres no way to set font globally and text runs off the right edge of the display But hopefully the next version will take care of these glitches Review for Version 137 This app is ideal for me its as simple as Apples built in Notes app but with the one feature I must have iTunes File Sharing so I can sync my laptop without using the Internet or anyones cloud I use PadSync and nvAlt on my laptop           In transition

Im a writer and I used this for everything It was perfect very simple very clean but sometime late last year There was a glitch that zoomed in on the text so part of the screen is out of the frame And you cant zoom out either Its like reading a book with half the page obscured Totally useless Anyway the guy isnt updating or fixing bugs or even addressing all these issues Maybe he died In any case caveat emptor     The developer has abandoned this app

This app used to be great They have now updated it and somehow made it very slow at times They also took away the save and Do not save option If you delete something by mistake there is no turning back you only have the option to save in order to exit the file Also when you now write the title and want to modify it you have to completely erase it and start again Not good        Taking something great and making it worst

I think that it would be nice to see how many text files you have in a folder Like in your documents section you will see your list of folders and files Almost beside the right arrow where you tap you could make it so it would show how many files you have in that folder I also would like to see the dates modified system changed Instead of showing Just Now Less than a minute ago and so forth I could suggest that you use actual date and time modified In mmddyyyy format Also when you create a new file I would like to see at the top a date and time created stamped automatically at top when you add a file to a folder Im big on seeing date created on files This helps determine when you thought of the notes or whatever The date created is a must have for me I strongly urge you to add this feature and change the date modified system to what I suggested                 Other suggestions

This is the best writing app I enjoy the personalized features and it is helping me to get my files organized Thank you for the updates                 I LOVE IT

This app used to be amazing until the update Now the words go off the page Its very confusing and makes it harder to read back what Ive written Please fix           Used to be great

This app is great but iOS 8 is not fully supported The text goes out of the margins now making it hard to read or write Also bring back global settings or at least give us the option to change the background or font globally instead of per document           iOS 8 support Global settings

Get rid of the annoying toolbar above the keyboard Its so irritating Every time I try to type something and hit one of the letters in the top left of the keyboard it either undoes my last half hour of writing or adds bullet points or numbers or something else annoying and inconvenient Or even better it just DOESNT SAVE HOURS OF MY WORK Im using Fliq notes until this catastrophic update is fixed     ANNOYING

I used to love this app until I synced it to my Dropbox EVERYTHING on my Dropbox was wiped out and I even lost files I kept in this app I lost years of journals and words cannot even describe how angry I am Dont waste your time with this app Im switching to Microsoft     Hate it

It was working beatifully before I updated to the iOS 8 Now the text runs off the screen on the right and it annoys me to no end The only temporarily solution I found to this was rotating it to landscape view then back to the vertical view I hope this bug is dealt with as soon as possible           It WAS great

Before the last IOS update this was my favorite writing app Ever since it has been nothing but trouble Constantly crashing while you are scrolling through existing documents and saving any changes to existing documents is a gamble Sometime its saved and sometimes it doesnt Is this app even compatible with IOS 81 Please fix my favorite app     Constantly crashing

Spent my two dollars and installed Copied an existing story and named the file then every time I tried to edit it would crash Updated my operating system Downloaded from the cloud againetc I wrote to the company and got absolutely no response Eventually just dumped it and started looking for another app     Crash

The app works wonderfully when not randomly formatting the entire page I had been working on for a few days in a row Doesnt seem to be any single button that formats EVERYTHING so either its a glitch or Im not seeing what it is and no Im not highlighting all and deleting or anything When it works well it syncs fine into Dropbox No issues there at all Great idea to make this app and it served me well for a while but there are free apps that dont have this glitch going on and have since moved on I wish your app the best and so giving three stars though I was going to give 2 for the frustration of formatting entire dayweeks worth of work with no option to undo the format So weird           Glitches galore

LOVED the app pre update but now it crashes ALL THE TIME Autosave is effed up too Its all connected to Dropbox now instead of storing on your phone like it used to WHICH IS FINE UNTIL DROPBOX DECIDES TO BE A DöUCHE It doesnt save all the time either so a lot of times you go back and what you wrote is gone Truthfully I dont care about font or fancy backgrounds I just want what I write to be there and STAY there Id also like the app to stay up for more than two seconds     AMAZINGuntil the update

Note Developer is currently working on an ios9 update I expect this to work in iOS 9 soon This is a great and versatile app I work as a surgical RN Part of my job is keeping up with the preferences of the MDs I work with This is the only app that allows one to make nested directories So I can define a directory as general Surgeons then have sub directories for the individual MDs with notes for the specific procedures they perform An added bonus is access to DropBox Which enables me to back up my files or share them with my fellow nurses Great app developer They actually respond to your emails Wishlist for future updates File folder sync with DropBox Direct sharing with other Idevice users either WiFi or BlueTooth Auto update device notes with DropBox after changes are made offline on device and user connects Via WiFi              Needs update wont work in Ios9

This used to be great app I am a fanfiction reader who didnt want the internet to be a problem when I wanted to read Before the update this app was perfect for everything I needed But now with the new update Ive hit some snags Dropbox doesnt download everything from the app and I know I have enough space I also cant get the font to shrink I was able to figure out how to change the font size and everything but the problem is that the words run off the page instead of jumping to the next line It is something that is extremely irritating to someone who doesnt want to reorient the screen The app also crashes on me every once and a while and I have no idea why If there was a way to fix these problems I would be grateful and I would be a much happier person All in all a great app but these problems are enough to drive me up the wall I will give five stars if these two problems are fixed           sizing

1 Used to be able to set fonts and themes as a global defaultnot anymore Gotta set each file individually And your lucky of it doesnt change back to the default setting constantly 2 Used to be able to exit a file without saving itnot anymore If you unknowingly make a change delete something type over something and exit it saves it Doesnt ask if you want to save changes or not How nuts is that Used to be a great app before the new owners 2 big thumbs down now     Was good now BAD

Something is wrong with the margins the text runs off the page Perhaps this is because I now have a smaller tablet but it is now intolerable The text is hard to read with the smaller tablet too While playing once again with the fonts in a document suddenly the entire text disappeared I lost important information and will not use this app anymore     Keeps Getting Worse and Worse

This app has been completely ruined in this update I was forced to update as well when I installed the new iOS update You now have to change the font and theme must be chosen every time you make a new file The words in my notes are cut off now like the resolution is messed up And moreover it crashes You really messed up this app Ill change this 1 star review if these bad changes ever get fixed Until then STAY AWAY 110     Ruined

A lot of times when I get so far in my writing the app crashed leaving my progress unsaved I use this app to do a lot of my writing and fixing the constant crashes would be a big help           Constant crashes

it was perfect and then i got IOS8 and all of my text is slightly going off the screen please please please fix     please update

Even if this app has a few issues I really love it because it allows me to express my creativity to new levels but that being said the problems make my anger spike For starters my backgrounds dont save again a minor problem But the worst problem that Ive seen so far is that my text doesnt fit on the screen no matter how small the size is The right side of the screen always cuts off my words and its rather frustrating Also one more problem Ive discovered is that when you minimize the keyboard and tap something no matter where you tap it sends you back to the top I hate to write a bad review about a great app with so much potential like this one but these problems are something I cant ignore Please take this into consideration and I hope for more updates in the future        Notable Issues

Update messes no universal theme set double saves at first conflicted copy is the second copy and NOW IT WONT SAVE AT ALL so I lost a weeks work even though I am set to auto save I have been patient and have emailed the developers several times but it keeps getting worse No response from developers of course     Cant use this anymore

I loved the free version of this app But this version does not have the numbers at the top of the keyboard and it crashes every 34 minutes I have to keep saving my data constantly Just bought a new note taker Very disappointed     Crashes CONSTANLY

I used to like the simplicity of this app but it has been crashing a lot Deleting     Not good anymore

Please fix all the problems the people mentioned in the reviews You have such a great thing going dont let the nasty bugs mess it up for you and for us Its crashing often and it is completely unreliable now I have to find a temporary alternative till you get these bugs fixed If your company needs more resources to fix the bugs please let us know and ask for a donation I would gladly donate some           Great app back then terrible app now

The most volume I may write is two sentences and the app closes without saving the text May be a good app but no time to evaluate as it closes frequently     Shuts down

I love the app over all especially the themes but theres one thing I noticed On the iPad mini the words are cut off on the right hand side Otherwise great app              Good but make it compatible with the iPad mini

What happened to this app Will it ever get fixed It worked great but after update it crashed all of the time on my iPhone 4s iOS 7 Now Im updated on the 6 plus iOS8 and same crashing prob So it is not the phoneiOS To me it is no longer usable Thank God Pages is included in iOS 8     Junk

I dont know what it was they thought they were fixing I used to love this app but now it is painfully sloooooooooow and full of bugs I am a historian and taking accurate notes is critical to my research Write used to be great for this but the way it has been working since the latest update it is utterly dysfunctional for my purposes The typing speed is not only extremely slow but it frequently repeats letters and inserts extra characters where I dont want them I now waste a lot of my limited research time trying to correct the mistakes created by the software Unless this gets fixed pronto I will be ditching this app for something that is more reliable        Bad update

A lot has changed since I first bought this app And none of the changes has been good One the app saves duplicates Im tired of seeing two three or four of the same documents with different times and days that I saved them Two the words dont all fit on the screen anymore The right side is always cut off no matter how small you make the text Third no matter where you are the screen jumps to the top once you touch the screen which is beyond annoying I wish developers would stop upgrading apps if theyre going to make it worst Honestly I wish I could get a refund This app isnt what it use to be     I use to love this app

I just got my iPhone 6 Plus and I was so excited to use your app because honestly I use your app more than the inbuilt Note but when I saw your app in the App Store I was disappointed to see couple of things Your new app icon is SO boring and old fashioned your older one was much better Your latest upgrade doesnt contain iOS 8 compatibility At the main screen I wanna be able to change the location of my files and folders and move them up and down Please fix these issues ASAP Thank you           ios8 upgrade and iphone 6 Plus compatibility

It was great before they updated it Now its awful Its extremely slow I just spent an hour writing a story and it froze because it couldnt keep up with how quickly I was typing It crashed and I lost all my work I would not recommend this to anyone     Dont get this app

This was one of my favorite apps dependable and tothepoint but recent updates have introduced some flaws One example when you have a really long document and do any kind of theme background the background image slowly scrolls as you scroll down the document A nice visual but as you keep scrolling the background gives way to whitespace and if youre using a white font scroll down far enough and most of the screen is unreadable with white text on a white background           A good app rough around the edges

I just recently upgraded phones to the iPhone 6 plus and paid 299 for this app to replace Elements for Dropbox which apparently is no longer supported Every time I open a file on Dropbox to modify it crashes the entire application Stay away     Crashes Stay away
