Very nice app small uncluttered but with almost everything you need I much prefer it to one of my other apps that plots radar data over a sectional chart I d like to have it show the text for any warning boxes on a popup and it would be wonderful if it would show lightning strikes Glider Driver                     Very Nice Glider Driver

Just downloaded this app this evening during rain storm So far looks like a keeper Was a bit slow to load map a few times Also don t see the need for th One Hour Totals and Strom Total buttons on the bottom Those could be put in one of the menus assesible from the top tool bar I don t think they would be used often enough to neccessitate having special buttons for them Personally I don t think I d ever use them Tried them and found them to be of no importance What people want from a radar app is timely reiable radar info in a great looking package                 So far so good Garnet6106

Note that this app simply downloads low resolution static graphics from the NOAA web site They are tiny 600 x 550 pixels images and that s why they look awful especially on the iPad and iPhone 4 and can t be zoomed without pixelating horribly Even the high def 3400 x 1600 pixels CONUS composite image is just downloaded straight from NOAA For more information simply search google for RIDGE Display in GIS RIDGE is NOAA s Radar Integrated Display with Geospatial Elements I don t recommended this app at present since you can create a bookmark in Safari to any NOAA radar graphic you want and save it to your home screen for simple access to the same radar images Ideally this app should process the raw NOAA radar data and generate a smoothed zoomable radar overlay on a MapKit map so it seems like a real app Right now it is just an app that displays pre rendered graphics from the web P S for anybody who doesn t think high definition radar data beyond NEXRAD is available please google for Terminal Doppler Weather Radar TDWR and then NOAA s Technical Implementation Notice 08 85 Note that the Weather Underground website has TDWR high def radar available TDWR has attenuation issues so it does not replace NEXRAD but it does exist is a useful addition to NEXRAD and the data is available for free     There are better radar apps EddyGeez!

I found using the app a little unintuitive and not so beautiful subjective of course You can scroll around but only within an area near a radar site and zooming in doesn t really get you any more detail radar or map just pixelation If you like choosing a radar site by zip code or current location it works fine If you want an overview map of US radar or to be able to change radars by browsing around on the map this is not the app for you Oh I did like the fullscreen mode where all the menus and controls are hidden but overall I just felt confined by the method of choosing radar sites         OK but probably not the best choice DigNSun

This app ends up being the best 99 cents I spent all week I live in northeast Pennsylvania am a recovering weather junkie and this app is great for folks like me                     Good job with this one East Rush

I have four US radar apps and this is definitely my favorite I live in so cal where a massive storm by our standards just hit This app was the most accurate I used this app to time my dog walking so that I only had to get drenched twice when it was unavoidable I also like how there is a list of radar stations so you can browse if you don t have a specific location in mind My only suggestion is to include a reference bar in the map The developer seems like a nice guy also if you check out his blog                     My go to radar Jazz Man / Cubs Fan
