It weighs in at only 4.6 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.2.36 has been released on 2014-11-19. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star review is that the app disconnects and will not run in the background Other than this limitation it s a great app for hybrid infrastructures where the regular S4B Lync client won t work Hopefully the author will update soon             Needs an update ThreeCheersForBeers

I am happy to find this app that provides a solid albeit a little bare alternative to an Intel IM subscrption to exploit my agency s dependence on Lync 2010 The Lync and Skype apps provided by Microsoft do not work for our unique blend of old and new archetecture but these 3rd party apps do the job What I like about Intel IM is the ability to quickly update my status on our Global Address list I work in a helpdesk like place and it s very useful to let someone know immediately when you are available in a meeting gone etc Usually they accomplish this with the ridiculous app Lync 2010 which sort of works sometimes What I don t like about Intel IM is the cost of monthly or annual subscriptions THIS APP simply because it works and is free makes me smile and promise to switch straight over to these folks and reccomend to my co workers who also work remotely from the office that THIS gem is a must have However that being said THIS app allows you to manually adjust your status while the paid for Intel IM allows a list of pre made custom statuses to be manually or automatically updated as a work schedule Just lazy on my part I know It s a minor thing to dismiss because THIS IS FREE it s awesome for that I ve tried and tried a lot of alternatives with all the settings adjusting etc for Office 365 too and this Just Works                 Really Good but could be Great or even Awesome Major Hassle

When I try to call using the app the it goes back to the dialer pad and the app doesn t work in the background iOS user         Can t make a call JizayTech

This is a great app and works great but I would live to see desk to screen share and file transfer I use this app all the time but makes my life harder when I m not in the office and have to turn on my laptop just to do a screen share or transfer files                 Great app but Bartdehaven

Update 11 8 14 All previous bugs were resolved by the author Therefore I m raising my rating of the app from 2 stars to 5 The last update finally made this app useable again Now with this latest update you can t send anyone new messages due to the keyboard staying on screen This is all happening on the iPhone 6 Plus                     More bugs DrSaku

I love that this app lets me connect with my colleagues while I m away from my desk without them seeing that I m on mobile at that but continuous small bugs prevent me from giving it 5 stars The official Lync app for Windows has its fair share of bugs too so I m not surprised it s difficult to develop on iOS                 Works but buggy askforgiveness
