I have been playing the X3 series for many years This is not a simple game to play by any means It is extreamly in depth as is the other X3 series games I recommend doing the campaigne first It is kind of a toturial so far If you are looking for a simple game this is not for you If you are looking to spend hours playing a game with unlimited paths this is the one                     Keeps getting better CIWS1982

X Rebirth is true to the X3 Universe There is a relatively strong story line if you want to follow it but the true strength of the game is the open play sandbox capability Even when following the story line you can deviate at any point and explore the other aspects of the game The game requires a fair amount of ship combat which makes having a gamepad or controller a bit necessary The downsides are that the user interface appears to have been developed for a console game and back converted to a computer As a result many of the dialogs are not very easy to nagivate until you become used to them As a result there is a relatively strong learning curve without much of a tutorial Playing the campaign initially will get you a bunch of pointers However it is easier to just experiment with a sandbox version of the game Fortunately the game saves often when you exit a station so dieing is not much of an issue Expect to play the game a number of times before you experience much of the capabilities Game playing times are quite long Just playing the storyline will consume in excess of 30 hours and could easily consume hundreds of hours of play time                     True to the X Universe skipsplayer

Although this game has a very high system requirement for Mac but the graphics looks like crap when I played The control is also very weird I took over 20 minutes to get used to it But the worst part is that the game won t save itself What a waste of money     Waste of money Sam_525
