X1 Remote (Exclusively for the X1 platform)

Simple the app doesnt work on iPhone 6     Doesnt work

Its a good remote for the basic controls but it kind of lags with the response time and also the voice command doesnt work When ever o try using it it crashes     Bad app

The new switch to X1 caused me to find this app but it does not have the guide to search which stinks Come on Comcast The original app was better     Wheres the guide

The voice remote does not work anymoreit just shuts down after you activate itthey need to fix it     Terrible

This app worked for a month and now it crashes every time I try to use voice control     Keeps Crashing

Only the voice works Everything else is like pushing buttons that dont do anything     Doesnt work

Why does the app close after using the mic search Its driving me nuts           Great but

When you press the microphone button it just tell you something went wrong and closes     Voice Function Fails

When browsing movies once you select a movie to research you cannot go back using this remote You have to start your entire search over     No back button No ability to go back once you go into a movieshow

Most items work but its slow Stop does nothing Why is it there CC does nothing Add shortcut only allows you to add On Demand items goal sell content ShortcutEdit does not work as expected After doing one remove edit then pressing another performs the done action hides edit functions but the done button does not disappear Pressing the now done button reenters edit Its like they are programming based on number of presses not item pressed No preferences can be modified or changed For example skip forward amount cannot be set Why Because that would allow me to skip commercials You set your favorite channels as a shortcut Why Because that would mean it wont default to ALL channels which they want me to see to upsell me on a bigger package I would expect to be able to add tuning to specific stations or my favorites Why not Because they dont want me to use my favorites It is not customizable except to see content they are hawking their On Demand services As with their pitiful X1 interface it has the stamp of Comcast corporate think spend billions on locking down content hundreds on interface favor selling more content and commercials rather than build a useful tool It looks and feels like the X1 box interface which 1 was written by a highschool intern during the 90s not a real programmer 2 wasnt beta tested andor the beta test feedback was ignored 3 The design team first asks how can we lock down content and sell more product not how can we make this a useful tool for our customers The real deal breaker and Ive taken the X1 box back but found out they are actually charging LESS for it because they know its shoddy is that the remote is now activated through Wifi Im guessing rather than IR This means that I cant use any universal remotes Bad call Its also slower        Works ok but needs featuresBeta testing

App crashes 100 of the time I try to use voice feature Deleted and reloaded the app to no avail Using an iPhone 6 Plus iOS 84 Blast internet speed No excuse Unusableliterally     Crash and Burn

I just got the X1 box and so far it seems to be ok Today I downloaded the Xfinity X1 app and wanted to check out the features Well the basics seem to work but so does the remote that came with the X1 box I really wanted to try out the voice control but unfortunately it just crashes immediately when it attempts to start Therefore I rate it worthless     Worthless APP

Voice Control will change the channel but the App immediately kicks you out of it as soon as you change channel one time Also no volume control that should be added Spoke to Comcast about problem still unresolved App did work properly a few months ago Strange     Doesnt Work Right

When you try to enter your user name and password the boxes move up and out of the screen and its impossible to log in     Cant enter user name or password in iOS 9

This new app is missing the best function of the old app being able to scroll the guide and see whats on every channel on my phone without interrupting the TV The old app let you set favorites and filters to personalize search on the phone quickly find a show you want and then click one button to change to that channel on the TV Cant do that on this new app you hit guide and it just turns the guide on the TV on Useless Id sacrifice the voice feature which is s bit clunky anyway to get the awesome guide functionality of the old app back ADVICE keep the old app on your phone if you download this one I just use the old one for channel searching     Old app was better

iPhone 6 IOS83 everything works except after sending a voice command the app crashes If that gets fixed Ill never use the xr5 remote again           Crashes on IOS83

Not a substitution for remote if u dont like headaches App would be a lot better if it didnt randomly make you sign in with email and password while trying to navigate your television In the middle of fast forward or rewind before you can stop it you have to go through all that signing in again for no apparent reason PITA           Constantly signing in

You should download this app It has voice control of your Xfinity X1 box How cool is that                 Works great

This remote is great Its the only Xfinity remote with the jump forward or skip 5 minutes ahead so I can skip the terrible adverts invasiveintrusive commercial programming This App DOES need some new features which are Forward jumps too far needs only 2 minutes not 5 Availability to control Power Availability to control Volume Availability to control and see info like a regular remote but cool like this App If you have the highest package of Xfinity this remote is Perrrrrrfect Voila           Excellent Remote Control
