Horrible service They dispatched me an Unliscensed driver with no displayed credentials who did not know how to get me from manhattan to JFK He had to pull over twice to recalculate the gps Not recommended at all just get a cab bc its cheaper anyway     Just hail a cab

I heard about this from a friend so I had to try it out On the surface it seems similar to Uber with hailing for a car but there are some cool features that it has that Uber doesnt For one I was waiting for a ride but no cars were nearby so it offered to text me back within 20 minutes if a ride becomes available I didnt really think it would work and should just resort to using a taxi or subway but while I was taking a restroom break a ride occurred Its really nice to not have to look at the app and just have them text you it lets me do other things in the meanwhile I definitely see potential to this service and itll be good to see competition in this area                 Works beyond expectations

There are never any cars in the vicinity weather youre uptown or downtown nothing Dont waste your time     Terrible app

I tried Whisk on my recent trip to NYC I booked a reservation using the app which was a breeze because I dont want to bother with waiting in line for taxis My flight however arrived 30 minutes early I thought I would need to wait for a while but to my surprise the moment I turn on my phone I received an email telling me that they are tracking my flight and the driver is already there waiting How cool is that Great job Whisk and hopefully you can come to more cities soon                 Great Experience

I was in the city for two days and used the service four times Each time the car arrived quickly except for when we were at the 911 Memorial but it had nothing to do with the driver it was just the traffic You can tell where the vehicle is from the app and how long it will be before they pick you up The vehicles were great Our drivers Malick and William were so kind and went out of their way to show us sites and were truly interested in our trip to NYC We did have a Groupon for our first two rides but the last two were about the same price as a cab without crazy cab drivers with stressful rides in dirty vehicles We rode in a BMW twice and a Suburban twice I highly recommend using this versus a cab when visiting the city                 Great option other than a cab

I love the manage reservation feature However the calendar and time icon is really confusing                 Got picked up like a boss

As good as it sound this service its maybe illegal in NYC and TLC is going after this drivers maybe its a TLC with police and service providers Overall design and structure is good Someone from this company call me and ask me to report the review assure me that all drivers are License by TLC you may need to provide their info into responses     Gypsy cars maybe illegal

I have been impressed over the past few months by this app Im happy with the updated especially with Queue me which lets me request a cab at any time and will hook me up as soon as one becomes available That way I know someone is coming for me and I dont have to stand outside in the cold looking for an open cab They kept the functionalities I like press a button to get a car and the drivers info pops up when he calls you back I love having this information both as someone who often leaves stuff in cabs stupid scarf and hat weather and as the mom of two kids who sometimes need to go to different places My 13 year old is riding by himself and he always sends me a screen shot of his guy whichever driver is picking him up and a pic of the license plate so I know who is taking care of him This has given me a great feeling of safety to let him learn the independence of getting around learning how to pay and tip and interact with people on his own without worrying about him on the subway He has learned about rating the drivers dont be a jerk this is someones livelihood and I think that has given him a sense of empowerment in a safe environment The cars are always nice its not some random cab off the street I hate hailing a cab and getting into a place stinking of smoke with seat belts that dont work The kind that you cant wait to get out of I also notice that the drivers tend to be more cordial because they know they have the accountability I have all their info and a feedback button The tip button at the end automatically lets you put in a percentage and it all goes to my card for easy tracking Makes it easy to track if my kids need to go somewhere on their own so I know what is going on with them Im very happy with this app and Im recommending it to all moms and people I know who dont like driving in NYC and dont carry cash for taxis but dont want to take the subway all the time                 Easy to use easy to pay and I feel safer than in regular cabs

It does not tell me what the wait time is until after I confirm It sends the driver before I can confirm the pickup address destination and rate This must be corrected           Improvements needed

Ive been using Whisk during business trips to NYC over the past year Every time I go back there are way more cars than the time before Now below Central Park its actually to a point where I assume theres good coverage most times of the day JFK and LGA often have available cars not sure about EWR We were in West Village on a Friday night with lots of occupied cabs passing by didnt want to deal with it in the cold so after dinner while paying the check I tapped a button got a car confirmed and sat inside while watching him drive to us Midtown and Times Square are usually solid all week after work it was late and we didnt feel like taking the subway tired in the cold so we tried Whisk since riding back in a cushy black car is really pleasant in that situation There were Uber cars around but at this point Im hesitant to use it lest they surge me or whatever Whisk has been reasonable and usually pretty close to a cab fare maybe a little more sometimes which I was okay paying when cabs were a pain One really cool thing was that even when there wasnt a car around it has this feature where it asks if you want to be queued up keeps looking for a car to come by and texts you if it finds one It was slick because we were like sure why not kept packing up our stuff at office before braving the cold and then boom it actually texted back saying a car is on the way That seems like a nicer way to deal with supply shortages than surging like 7x the fare It would be nice if the app gave a fare estimate up front but then again not all the ride apps do that and a cab doesnt either It has flat fares to the airports which was pretty nice once when traffic was really bad Drivers have been pretty good and professional They keep getting better compared to last year maybe they were getting used to it back then For me these are the key benefits of an app like this watch the car coming instead of talking through a dispatcher and having no idea where it is no hassle of paying and mentally calculating a tip while getting out of the car Theres a new unlimited ride pass feature Ill probably try next time Im there I know a guy whos been using it every day to commute Theres also a Day Pass which should be cool for getting to meetings while visiting The app itself is fine I like the credit card scanner so you dont have to punch in the number I used it while standing around in baggage claim Im not sure why more apps dont have it Try it out the next time you need a cab in Manhattan Hopefully the coverage will expand to more of the city soon                 Fine ride app

I think this is a scam because I signed up and added my credit card information Not only did I not get a confirmation email letting me know that Im a member but when I tried logging in again it didnt work I am canceling my credit card ASAP to prevent any potential fraudulent charges     APP DOES NOT WORK

This is a nice app Its easy to use and uncluttered I first used it late 2012 and it has really improved since then There are way more cars in Manhattan and the app looks great too And the rides are still cheap Id give it 5 stars if not for some missing things that are in other apps Theres no price estimate and you dont know how long until driver gets there only the distance Also one time I had a problem with a coupon but their customer service helped me quickly UPDATE on 320 Its improved further I was in New York a couple of weeks ago and they had tons of cars in Lower Manhattan and Midtown Theyve added a time estimate to the app but still no price estimate Still 4 stars for now UPDATE Actually now it shows the ETA yay UPDATE There is some kind of reservations feature now Used it for airport pickup at JFK              Easy and affordable

I hadnt used Whisk in a while but remembered the app when I was stuck at LGA Within minutes was on my way home Been using it every chance I can since then Its a dream                 Saved me

I tried it 3 times and loved it In all instances the car came by in less than 5 minutes and it cost almost the same as a cab The only thing I didnt like initially was that the pickup address didnt show up correctly but then the driver explained that they used the GPS location rather than the address Would recommend it                 Love it
