What the August team have managed to create is one of the coolest communities around Its a way to be inspired by other artists across platforms Its focused on celebrating each others work rather than the selfpromotion which occurs on most social channels Where else are you able to browse original photography short films music and writing all in one place and interact directly with the creatives putting out that content                 Insanely cool

I got a new update and its working much better The scrolling is very responsive and many of the bugs Ive encountered have been squashed The creator of August even explained some of the UI to me through email Im also enjoying this beginning phase where everyone seems to know everybody Overall this app has improved a ton since its launch                 Much better

August has essentially taken everything you wish Instagramtumblr had in terms of features and did it You dont have to worry about reblog sending up on your front page theyre all out in a separate location Full songs can be uploaded Published work has to be uploaded via computer to further stop food photos and selfies from clogging your feed especially when you seriously just want to look at ART Everything is square but when you click the picture you can see it in its original full scale someone left a review About the photos being square they are on the front page but a simple click shows you the entire full photo Its also much easier to communicate 1 on 1 with other users Love this app I recommend it for any artist                 Best App For Artists Of All Kinds

Ive been using August now since it was launched It has a really gorgeous interface that I havent seen in any other photography apps I love how photos are displayed If you are viewing from your iPhone in the portrait orientation there is a slider for viewing all of the image Its pretty awesome Of course you can rotate to the landscape orientation and view the whole image as well I just thought the slider was a really cool feature The team of developers are adding more and more features so that is promising High on my list is a better filtering method for searching for nature photography Generally Im not interested in the people portraits just the landscape and outdoor photography I am really enjoying this app                 Loving August

The app is well thought out The interface is beautiful However the app is still in beta phase So if you want to share your photography as an artist you have to submit 5 photos and wait for approvalwhich was months ago Still no response No update and no way to contact anyone either The app is good in theory but they definitely need some work        Needs Improvement

This app is honestly everything Ive been searching for in an app as a photographer artist I like to think of it as a combination between Instagram Twitter SoundCloud and story telling Its an excellent ways to be influenced by other artist And an even better way to influence other people If your debating getting it Get it An absolutely genius necessity                 Social Media Necessity

I love August so far Some people have complained about the square format but I see no issue with that since you can expand the photo fully if youre interested in viewing it My only hope is that it maintains the high level of artists it has now and does not allow itself to be over run by hobby photographers who just use the auto button Ssssooooo many amazing artists to discover and follow and hopefully connect with                 My new Social Media Home
