Recently the app has not worked reliably Randomly it will not mute st a previously set location If I open the app it starts working again It s easy to add a location but difficult to edit         Better than nothing DMcCracken

I used this for a while because I don t get many calls before realizing that the app only works if you don t silence your phone if you do it counteracts it This wouldn t be a problem except the app frequently switches off for no discernible reason After several embarrassing rings I had to stop using it         Unreliable Neuropus

I use this app daily but it has one especially annoying issue You can find the edge of the mute area Usually with this kind of app you should have grey area such that if your radius is 100m then it should detect Enter at 75m and Exit at 125m It should not actually be 100m that should just be the center of the toggle area As it is if I am unlucky enough to be waiting for my bus within about 10m of the area edge every 2 5 seconds or so it rapidly switches between enter and exit That s because GPS is inherently not that accurate Very annoying Other option don t accept a change more than once ever 1 5 minutes or so Maybe do both         Needs better edge detection bgix1

AutoMute does exactly what it says mutes your phone s ringer and notifications when you re at a specific location and then automatically unmutes the phone when you leave the location If you like the app will even notify you when you ve entered the mute area and the phone has been silenced It will also notify you when you ve left the mute area and the phone s sounds have been turned on again You also get to choose how wide a radius the mute zone will encompass And the feature I find the most handy there s a toggle switch that will unmute the phone even if you re still in the mute location Likewise you can easily mute the phone again by toggling the switch This feature is great if you don t need to have your phone muted the entire time you re at a location Oh and if you have a question or a problem there s a built in feature that allows you to easily contact the developer I ve asked a few questions getting started and the developer has always answered in a couple of hours What more could you want I ve been using AutoMute every day for a week and it s been flawless No more worries about remembering to turn off and on my phone s sounds I love the app and highly recommend it                     Fabulous One of the best apps on my phone magmanpi

AutoMute is wonderful It is the only app I have found that reliably controls the volume of my iPhone based on locations My iPhone 6S Plus indicates that geofences are being used which I have set to a decently wide area I have not noticed any significant battery impact due to the use of AutoMute I am amazed that there aren t other automation apps like this for the iPhone I don t have to worry about volume control and mute switches any longer                     Wonderful no more volume control and mute switch mistakes Dmorlitz

The support email is extremely responsive and helpful The app can appear not to work if it is tested in the most obvious way Namely you define where you are as a Location to be muted and then call your phone from another phone It WILL ring This is because as explained in the full description that the phone mutes when it ENTERS a muted Location So if you are already there it does nothing You have to leave and come back This is a fine app The feature it is based on GeoFence does eat battery time So you might consider turning it off until you anticipate needed it This can be done easily on a Location by Location bases Just don t wait until you get there Update This app just gets more important to me as my defined locations increase as I use it It would be great if there were a wiki like database were users could share location information WRT my comments about battery usage As I understand it now the iPhone location service GeoFence tried to get away with only using the low power methods of determining whether you cross into a GeoFence area WiFi hotspots and cell towers Only if further accuracy is needed does it turn on the power hungry GPS So the battery problem should only occur if you are just a little outside a location for a long time like a movie theater very near your house I don t know but would expect that the accelerometer turns off the GPS if it sees that your iPhone is not going anywhere                     First Review Is Just Wrong VKruskal
