When I was growing up in Southern California we went to Yosemite twice each year It was the favorite family destination We had so much fun camping hiking wading in the Merced River and just exploring This app brings all that back for me As I hold up my iPhone and turn my body it is easy to imagine that I am right there on the Mist Trail or the valley floor marveling at El Capitan Try it with the sound on to get a truly immersive experience I am impressed with the amount of information in the popup info panels Ive been to the valley many times but didnt realize how much I could still learn If you have been to Yosemite this app will have you reliving the wonderful sights and sounds of your vacations If you have not been fortunate enough to go to Yosemite yet Ill bet you start planning your first trip Brings Back Great Memories

If you hold the iPad in front of you and rotate yourself with it its like some kind of magic Holodeck glasses that let you see the park as if you were there Then there are these info buttons for different landmarks like Wikipedia tied to the landscape I enjoyed it Virtual Yosemite Holodeck

Its really fun to spin around and see the whole valley The soundtrack of the birds and water is a nice touch particularly with headphones The detail photos add a lot to the panoramic images And I never knew that rock falls were so common Great app Cool app

The first Be There app San Francisco was amazing and this second installment is no less incredible Its just as though youre looking at the beauty of Yosemite through your own personal window I hope they release more locations soon Beautiful App
