Brave Dwarves

A good fun game but needs better save after each level that way you dont have to start over each time you play It gets old trying to do each level again when interrupted or if you dont have time to play thru the designated number of levels before it saves your progress I wont play anymore until this gets fixed Nice graphics and the levels have nice depth though Also when you lose a life I think that is enough of a penalty you should not lose all your progress for that level you are currently playing and have to collect all the items again Hopefully this will get fixed in upcoming updates           Needs Better Save

I like this game I know its really hard to find a platformer game with intuitive and easy to use controls This game is an exception Excellent fast and responsive controls with ability to change between accelerometer and touch arrows As for the gameplay two characters with unique spells and 100 levels to complete will keep you busy for a while Graphics looks really cool and music is outstanding I even turn my iPod music off One of the best platformers if you ask me                 Excellent game

I like this game but you definately need to fix the save It gets boring playing the same levels over and over It is great that there are so many levels but I havent been able to get thu the second world You need to be able to save each level Please fix it and I will give it more stars Thanks           We need to save

This game is great but I have two suggestions for improvements Save slots so that more people could play at different times and this needs to be a universal app              Cool

This is a surpisingly fun little platformer The graphics are good the gameplay is fun and with 100 levels theres a lot of content here for the price My only gripe is with the controls For the most part they work very well But I find that having to slide my finger up ladders to climb them is awkward It works for jumping nicely but there needs to be an option of using an up arrow for ladders Aside from that this is a five star game Try it you wont be disappointed              Pretty shweet

Have you ever wondered what two dwarves could do in the battle between good and evil That is the premise behind Brave Dwarves a new platformer set in a fairy tale world of magical spells and supernatural monsters As fun as it looks Brave Dwarves has what I consider key two ingredientsdeep content and responsive controlsthat make this a terrific game Brains vs Brawn is the name of the game where you have the choice of playing as the metaphysical Wizard or as the powerful Warrior The Gate that separates the worlds of good and evil has been damaged and driven the dwarves out of their underground kingdom Your objective is to repair the Gate while ridding the underground kingdom of the evil invaders and gathering treasures This also involves locating 3 big keys to open the door to the next level Visually the game looks greatbut then again I like dwarves and dungeonswith smooth frame rates Combined with the whimsical music it offers the right mix of lightheartedness youd want with a game called Brave Dwarves With more than 100 levels content will definitely not be an issue and replayability will come with unlocking new powers There are 5 worlds in the game Old Mines Factories Magic Forest Gloomy Castle and Golden Palace culminating with a boss battle after every 20 levels with the likes of Yeti Steam Boiler Golden Neck Fire Master and PennyPincher Each hero has 12 unique weapons The Wizards weapons include water suriken think boomeranging ninja star lightening fireball icicles and earthquakes The Warrior has his own set of weapons including axe fireball spiked star lightening and the dancing rock think horizontal earthquake A unique aspect is that these weapons are acquired by finding the Power Orbs of which there are four types Fire Water Air and Earth Its an intricate weapons setup in Brave Dwarves that adds a layer of complexity to the game one that I appreciate But theres actually more In order to fuel these orbs to tap their special energies you must collect diamonds The type of diamond collectedred blue green and whitedetermines what weaponspower is activated For example by collecting red diamonds your Warrior can create fires in front of enemies or as the Wizard turn himself into a raging inferno Like I said a lot of thought has been put into Brave Dwarves and were just talking about the weapons What kind of game would Brave Dwarves be without potions You have 3 different potionsRejuvenation restores fullhalfquarter of health Invisibilitycloaking makes monsters unable to inflict any damage and Clock freezes monsters in place for 30 seconds Having played a number of platformers for the iPhoneiPod Touch platform games have been a mixed bag for me in large part due to the controls They can either be a huge selling point or a tremendous hindrance to a games success With Brave Dwarves you have a choice of controlsaccelerometer and dpadand both work well in terms of responsiveness and accuracy To jump slide your finger up and the same applies to climbing ladders just slide in the direction you want to climb To shoot tap anywhere on the screen I tried both control schemes and each works as intended with a minimal learning curve Theyre really as intuitive as they can be and Brave Dwarves get them right One minor issue that occasionally came up was in sliding to climb I would accidentally fire a spell but I think this had more to do with me getting comfortable with the controls The updated dpad with updown arrows makes this game even better and more functional before I found the gameplay generally entertaining and challenging When you begin you must select between the Wizard and the Warrior and the game will store the separate games played as the Wizard and as the Warrior so you can easily switch back at forth between the characters before beginning a session A map is available showing the progress through each of the worlds as well as levels completed is designed to allow you go back to previously completed levels to boost your scores and secure additional powers On the screen an Orb on the lefthand side shows how much powershots you have and on the opposite side is Red Orb showing lives left and energy During the game you can activate available powers by tapping the Orb The screen is full of gems as well as a few surprises and the keys are conveniently located all over the levels Remember that your powers drain with each spell and you dont have the luxury of missing jumps or too many gems Because you have to travel the entire length of each level and sometimes double back enemies tend to respawn An area that could use some tweaking is the graphics While very clear there are times when certain elements can blend in with the surrounding environment making them hard to see Also instructions can be lacking so you may not have a complete understanding of whats going on and why As a smoothly animated platformer Brave Dwarves offers an entertaining experience with a good deal of content and depth And the best part is that you have dwarves doing the dirty work              Delivers a Lighthearted Platformer

i like this game its really cute its a bit hard getting the keys cause you got to pass the bad guys but what can you say for n old slow wizard lol                 cute game

the game would be better if it saves the levels as you progress so you dont have to start all over again It stops saving the game after 7th level           not very good game

Is it a Magician a warrior or little people Nope None of those it an app by GO Games This game is like some familiar console games and it is a great actionplatform game as well The main objective of Brave Dwarves is purge the dungeons of all its foul monsters and while doing so collect as much treasure as you can In order to do that you will have to fight your way through 5 different worlds and fight lots of different types of monsters It gets very difficult by the third level You have the choice at the beginning of two different characters a Warrior or The Wizard I picked the wizard because he has ranged attacks and you can be father away so you wont die as often as the Warrior As you progress you will unlock 12 additional weapons per class to help fight off the various monsters you will meet That doesnt include the 5 Boss battles that await you or the 100 levels needed to complete the game Movement is very simplistic you can choose to use the virtual directional arrows or the tilting method or using the accelerometer based movement In my opinion the direction arrows are the best as the tilt method seems to be over sensitive and causes problems while climbing or jumping for me Why can we not adjust sensitivity in these games developers To attack using your selected weapon you just tap anywhere eon the screen and your weapon will attack directly in front of you Each weapon has its own mana costs which are removed from the ball on the top left These can be recharged by collecting gems At the end of each level after you have found all the keys rusted gold and platinum you can progress to the door and over to the next level An though the graphics might not be pushing the iPhone capabilities they are done adequately It reminds me of some older Nintendo 64 games The Character models could be a bit better and there does tend to be a slight bit of lag or frame rate issues some times Nothing game killing mind you It could use a little smoothing out especially with large number of objects on the screen at once Overall while this is not my favorite style of gameplay I did find it to be a pretty fun adventure I do wish there were some additional health packs tossed in as there is a never ending amount of enemies and very few health packs throughout That said I would recommend this app to those of you who are into action platform style games Its not expensive and its always nice to try something different Devyn AppVersitycom              Is it a Magician a warrior or little people

This game is great fun The accelerometer controls are actually pretty good Touch controls are good too but theyre a little inaccurate The graphics are nice but the sound seems a little overly dramatic The save system is a pain but this is a fun game If it ends up above 199 you might wanna pass or wait for a lite version              Fun time waster

What the title says Could be a fun platformer with DPad controls I die often in the game because control scheme is rediculous        Needs D Pad

This game probably has the most level ever created in history                 So many levels

Visually this is a good platformer with easy to navigate level design The music especially is very well done with a nice variety of tunes The one problem I have is with the controls Tilt controls for movement are too sensitive so that it is very hard to stand still and the jumping mechanism too often results in you attacking and missing a jump Lots to do though and with better controls a perfect platformer              Good overall

Um great game but at level 16 by the water I jumped and went through a wall now Im stuck there can you fix this                 Hell
