The Busgazer - Pittsburgh is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting different languages: English, French. It weighs in at only 3.3 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 0.1 has been released on 2014-11-08. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. The user interface isn t perfect but it works well once you figure it out So long as the busses are transmitting their signal this is accurate within 1 2 minutes It s helpful to use the map and watch the movement of the bus you are waiting for The one day in the last 3 weeks it didn t work was probably the fault of the bus people not the app Great job keeps me out of the cold and rain Has worked perfectly 20 21 days so far Paddy Bananas
I downloaded this app because of the high rating while at a bus stop It was utterly confusing for how to know when bus was coming scheduled vs real time After I worked with it at the bus stop in the freezing cold for 10 or 15 minutes it told me the next bus wasn t expected to arrive for 75 min I called a ride to pick me up instead walked to catch my ride and was passed by the bus Utterly and completely useless I have no idea what people have seen in this app Totally confusing and wrong information xuzi.ok
What people say seems to be true you re more likely to write a bad review that write a good one I used this app religiously for almost two years but quite frankly it just doesn t work anymore I would no longer recommend this app to people I gave this app two months to fix itself but it appears like this won t be happening This app used to have the scheduled and real time bus times which was a real lifesaver because Pittsburgh buses never come when they are scheduled However two months ago only the scheduled times were coming up With that it s like why download another app that takes up space when I can just use google maps Now scheduled come up when you click a button However these times are very wrong Multiple times I have missed buses because they came more than five minutes before the scheduled time and more than 10 15 minutes before the real time I definitely come early but the reason I got this app was so I DIDN T have to wait 20 30 minutes at a bus stop If it can t do this then it fails as an app Unless they suddenly fix things I wouldn t waste precious space on your phone for this app I have deleted it No longer works Thisbetternotdeleteagain

This app is as reliable as the data It does have trouble with rest stops where the bus pulls over so the driver can take a break so it says the bus is coming in 2 minutes when really it s 15 But overall this is the best Pittsburgh transit app I ve tried Reliable as long as the raw data is available Lauren from Pittsburgh

It works well few months ago But it has started to misbehave The bus that are coming to a particular bus stop are not showing in the app Instead it shows very different set of buses and sometime it shows bus is coming in like x min and then disappear suddenly or displays as left or it comes after another few minutes If this continues we don t need this app any more Completely misbehaving sometimes Pralewis$&@245

Buses that have GPS enabled show up on the route map when you tap their blue link Otherwise the app must rely on the scheduled times which can be off due to traffic accidents or breakdowns Always best to be 5 minutes early to a stop Apple maps now has Pittsburgh transit info which can help provide alternate bus routes to get where you re going Simple to use good accuracy rate gskiii

I use Busgazer every day and it s extremely reliable and very accurate I m not sure there is any other app that works as well It s benefits come from pulling bus location and travel time data in real time rather than relying on schedules like Google Maps or crowdsourcing like Tiramisu I can only think of one or two times when I ve failed to catch a bus and that s when a moving bus suddenly dropped off the map Seems more likely due to malfunctioning hardware on the buses rather than Busgazer Not sure why this has any really bad ratings If you ve lived in PGH and tried to use PAT before Busgazer you d get a true sense of this app s value to daily commuters Accurate and easy to use kicksandcognition

It s very hit or miss Sometimes correct but often wrong means you can t rely on it a case in point 3 busses just arrived in quick succession not shown in the app Similarly you ll see buses that leave your stop even if none actually arrived let alone left Regularly wrong Marcster12
This app is so far the most accurate bus time app I have ever tried It tells me exactly how long it takes for the bus to come to my stop and if the time happens to be inaccurate its gonna give you an earlier time that way youre not gonna miss it accurate viv-z

If your app contains misspelled words like buttom instead of bottom and misspellings and poor grammar in the FAQ s then it is not ready for prime time None of the routes show up to view anywhere in the app I downloaded this app to compare to transit and the transit app is much more advanced in terms of capability and professionalism Misspelled words Rcf1978

Holy crap If I wanted to complain about one thing in Pittsburgh it would be the substandard public transportation But this app THIS APP Its a game changer Its simple accurate and works almost all the time thats so much more than I could ever have asked I work downtown and have been taking the bus for 5 years now and half the battle is knowing when to fold ie wait for the more direct bus or assume that Ive missed it and hop on a goodish bus with a longer walk afterwards The Port Authority site was no help since its inevitable that a drivers get off schedule and their realtime site is clunky and slow to load But this app is my saving grace Never again will I spend the extra 30 minutes taking the 71C when I can tell that a 61B is arriving just behind The realtime data is so accurate I can now believe that yes five 71As in a row are arriving within 2 minutes Plus it tells me the bus ID number so I can sort the really terrible old buses from the new ones I can now confidently bus from East End to South Side and back without fear of having to wait an extra 45 minutes in the dark waiting fruitlessly for a late bus while too overfueled to be patient But in all seriousness thats a pretty awesome side benefit Thank you thank you thank you Jiannan and friends Highfiving a million angels
A broken clock is right twice a day but I doubt any PAT bus ever arrives at the scheduled time more than once a day Thanks to Busgazer you can view realtime data of where the buses are and when they will arrive If you ride PAT buses you NEED this app An Absolute Game Changer

The newest update enables inapp purchases for certain content In my opinion this app is no longer a good alternative for bus tracking I hate inapp purchases
Please please please update the UI to flat modern design This app is an eyesore to look at It works but having something nice looking is much more enjoyable Keep up the hard work User Interface
Bottom line is it works However how does it differentiate itself from similar apps such as Transit Itd be nice to have it available as a locks teen widget Transit app has this function in its latest build Also it might be more useful to be able to bookmarkfavstar bus lines in addition to bus stops Transit app doesnt current allow this so if this feature is built in here I might just switch Finally personally I think its better to label the directions in which the buses are headed inbound and outbound rather than NSEW bound Solid app

I find this app to be the most accurate and reliable of all the apps Ive used already for getting around town however Ive come to my own conclusion that when there is bad weather the app displays no results at all for the stops I have bookmarked Also when it is working it doesnt show the REAL TIMES of busses Sometimes it shows three 88s but theres an 86 between that doesnt even come up on the list Really frustrating Good for the most part
