If you are iPhone and iPad owner,you now can download CA.gov Locator for free from Apple Store. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 0.5 MB to download. The first thing I did was look for rest stops There were none so it told me to serach again and a comma was used in place of a period The map label for Satelite should have two Ls For the money the State paid SymSoft to write this app one would expect proper spelling and grammar Spell Check

This app is great You can easily locate libraries wherever you are You can also look up voting locations which will be really useful in the upcoming California elections I contacted SymSoft the company that makes the app and they said version 2 is coming out soon with some more useful stuff like State Parks and rest area locations on highways I cant wait This is such a great service for iPhone users in California So useful
I dont know if its just me but When I click on ca state parks or several other tabs for some reason it list all the DMV offices near me Is this happening to anyone else DMV Listings everywhere
I tried the app and it worked like a charm Lots of very useful info that is hard to find elsewhere in one package and it was both rather compact in size and easy to use
It would be even more useful if the output is sorted by distance As an example it does use my current location to figure out the distance to the various officeslibraries etc However they are still listed in countyalphabetical order If I want to find the nearest library and Im close to the boundary of 2 counties I can benefit from a sorting order that is not county based or alphabetical This is likely more applicable to libraries than other offices however
If you can do this without increasing the size much and keeping the current ease of use even better

No matter where you are in California you can find state offices like DMV and even better public libraries This is a great first step to onestop government services Someday maybe Ill be able to renew my license and download a bestseller using an app like this Really easy to find CA govt services 123

When I bought iPhone 2 years back I hated going to Safari Browser to find the Info or using Google Maps for all the locations nearby etc
APPs that target an area or search and deliver good results in Native apps are my favorite

It is done very well does exactly as advertized and does it beautifuly I like the ease of search through simple to use understand drilldowns
Ive used this APP already few times to find Government Offices for myself and friends too
Its a useful handy app when you need it
Potential if this same concept is expanded to other states then its got much bigger marketGood Start though
