Cam Viewer for SecuritySpy

This is an excellent iOS app to obtain mobil access to the very robust security camera application for Mac OS Security Spy Cam Viewer when using the latest version offers very good support on iOS 5 devices The negative reviews should be disregarded as they stem from frustrated users who attempted to use preversion 15 iterations of the app on iOS 5 Cam Viewer works well on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4s Reduced bandwidth on some limited ATT wireless connections does degrade the utility of this app as with any other app With WiFi and good wireless phone connections the app facilitates clear and useful viewing of multiple security cameras where ever you are Cam Viewer does NOT function without Security Spy on your Macintosh at your security camera installation                 Cam Viewer for SecuritySyp

App just opens and closes if I setup my securityspy with no password and delete the app and re install then it works once u leave the app cant reopen it unless u delete and reinstall Does not work if securityspy server require username and password Gr8 idea but needs the bugs fixed Do not buy Working on gettin money back     DNW Do Not Buy

I just updated the App and it run once to change the camera settings Once exited it stopped launching It starts up and shuts down immediately I am using the iPhone 3GS     App does not launch

great idea but it doesnt work developer doesnt have a list of compatibleincompatible cameras even deleted camera configurations mysteriously reappear half of the user interface is either completely nonfunctional or selfpromotional marketing material for the developer a terrible app overall     not worth 0

This app does not work right If you close out and try to reopen the app it does not start web cam C     I want my 200 Back Please

Dont forget to set up the web server setting in Security Spy It is under SettingsWeb server Setup The default port is 8000 Your server address is listed at the bottom The developer is very responsive but fails to mention anywhere at least that I could see to set up the Web Server Setup in security I tried everything I almost gave up on this app I finally thought about looking in the preferences and Bam it works I guess the developer just assumes we have the web server enabled when he offers to trouble shoot ips and such Thanks for a great app I hope I helped some of the frustrated useres who gave up on this app                 Great but read

I couldnt get this to work after I downloaded it Their customer service is INCREDIBLY helpful I highly recommend this app After numerous communications with customer support this app gets 5 stars                 Great app great customer service

This update resolves all of the issues I had with earlier versions by allowing more than 6 cameras and multiple camera servers If you are updating to v14 from an earlier version I would suggest deleting the app from your iPhone then updating via iTunes and finally adding the updated app back to the iPhone this will delete the old app preferences on the iPhone and you will start with a fresh set of preferences of course you will need to set up the new server preferences But it then works as advertised Performance with v14 is greatly improved I track 11 cameras from two different servers in two different facilities with no problems Highly recommended if you use Security Spy                 A nice update to v14

Love this app works well with my 4 ip cams Vey reliable This newest update killed my pan tilt Hope they fix it on the next update              Great app newest update broke my tiltpan

I was able to configure the app in about ten seconds It work as promised I would like to see the original image aspect ratio preserved instead of trying to maximize image size or at least have an option to toggle this It would also be nice to have the refresh settings in the app itself An obvious feature that was not included is to use the swipe feature of iPhone to move from one full screen view to the next instead of having the unattractive arrow buttons It would also be nice to have the ability to arrange the thumbnails I look forward to the portrait to landscape feature              Works As Advertised

First review I have ever placed For the record Security Spy works great this app does not The publishers of this app asked for people to not write bad reviews but call or email if having issues I did both and received no help thus the first review It opened then closed if it stayed open it locked my phone up to where I had to do a hard reboot I am hoping apple will give me credit as they should Do your self a favor Dont waste your time or money on this app If I could give it 0 stars I would     Does not work and no support

I have this app as well as Cam Viewer by the same authors This one is far better but still not as good as it could be It works with both hardwired and wireless cameras that I have but only up to 6 cameras If I could solve the issue of having to input the password each time I wanted to use it instead of seeing server connection unavailable each time and being able to see more than 6 cameras this app would be a 5star Work on updating this app instead of the Cam Viewer and Id be a great deal happier           Not bad

This app is amazing and surprisingly easy to configure It would be nice to have control also over the SecuritySpy software but at this point thats probably asking too much Still amazed that this will probably be one app that gets a ton of use                 Secspy

Great app works well with the local cameras and the networked cameras I do enableddisable the cameras sometimes so I wish it had a feature to change that setting for each camera Maybe something to add in future versions              Great app

I am deaf and my ipod is becoming more and more useful to me The camera I have set up to watch the front door I can now display the same live image on my ipod This is excellent On my computer the motion detection brings the application to the front but your ipod app currently wont do that I have to keep an eye on the ipod image to monitor the front door for changes like a shadow in the window This allows me to work in other parts of the house while deaf I would love it if the ipod had motion detection as well as a vibration alert Five stars if you add a push alert              motion detection

I dont know why people claim this software to be a scam It works as advertised Lacks a few features but Im sure they will be adding them soon I love it I can see all my cameras any time I want Layout is pretty nice too Great job guys                 Love it

Any way to offer the ability to toggle login into different Security Spy servers We manage multiple client SS servers and we also have clients with multiple office locations running SS server and would be great to be able to log into any of the servers without the need to retype the server account info every time Thank you for such a great addon tool to Security Spy server application                 Option to handle multiple SS servers

Great little app Easy to set up runs well Would like to ability to have multiple SecuritySpy server setup but for the price its very cool                 Great App

Seems to connect to the cameras but I have gotten no response from the author about problems with the Pan Tilt functions I can not get it to control my Panasonic Pan Tilt        Poor Support

Worked briefly then will no longer connect Tech support had no solution except to reinstall which did not work We would love to have an ap that can interface with our multicamera SecuritySpy setup unfortunately this one doesnt work Also setup screen UI is a bit squinky     Does not work

There are three versions of this app Be very very carful with what you select There are 2 versions that support just the iPhone and one that supports the iPad I have now spent 30 on two different ipads to discover I had the wrong version And the products seem to be licensed separately so I had to keep rebuying And the iPad version doesnt seem to be working yet     Carful with the app version

my ipad keep telling m3 to update this app but theupdate is IOS 5 only very annoying I dont update my devices every time throws out a new release and i expevt apps that i paid for to continue to work if the update is for a particulr version of the os then it say so and not b9ther me if im not on that os     update is IOS 5 ONLY

I work in a home office and have a webcam at my front door so I can see who is there without having to run downstairs each time the door bell rings Now I can be anywhere in the house with my iphone and see the webcam Great program Took me about 30 minutes to setup I am not a tech guy probably because of my lack of network knowledge If you know networks this should be a snap Very impressed with the app and the authors behind this Great job Buy it now                 This is a great app I would pay much more for this Works great

I have been using securityspy on my computer for over a year now and this is the perfect combo I have not found a better app in the itunes store that I have found more useful than this cam viewer This app should be 50 dollars at minimum Get it immediately if you are looking for a solid security webcam app for your iphone                 Amazing app

Been a long time user of this app and only ever had issue recently when the app began to crash 100 of the time on iOS 5 I deleted app from phone and reinstalled that solved my issues then v 15 came out So far no issues with the new version The app works as well as one would expect from a handheld device and is a beautiful compliment to the Security Spy computer software I do not have and pantilt cameras do I can not speak on the apps functionality with those however I can easily monitor my business and building from almost any location using my iPhone I have never had a need to contact the developer so I can not confirm or negate other reviewers no response claims when confronted with problems              Works for me

Dont buy the app if you are running iOS 5 Developer is not responsive nor is he updating his apps any more     Stopped working with iOS 5

I was a big fan of this app until iOS 50 came out Since then the app doesnt work at all on any of my iOS devices iPad 2 iPad or iPhone 4 A new version was released in the past day or so and it crashes continually Dont waste you money on this app until the developer bothers to get it working again     Dont pay for this version
