To the guy who couldnt load games i just emailed my pin file to myself on gmail then i opened the mail in ios mail Then double tapped the attachment it was a blank white page loading but noticed i could tap something at top and when I did i had open in 3 programs one of which was cbase and then i had all my recent games to view It is a nice app Good ap
I have iPad2 There is No indication of what play the game is on I was expecting this app to write annotations as per the photos I also was hoping I could try different or alternative moves Nice graphics and easy to read font Thanks Elaine Sorry
Overall this seems like a useful app it reads pgn files that some other similar apps have had problems with However when viewing pgn chess books that have commentary along with moves it would be nice if the move being played was high liters in the pgn text on the side and if the pgn text scrolled vertically as necessary as moves were being played Needs to highlight moves in pgn text as they are played
Has some limitations eg no Help etc but nothing significant except the fact that it does not support the FEN tag This one is serious as you cannot view games unless they are given from the start Nice graphics nice handling of variations Waiting for a new version thar will support FEN OK but
Its a clean app but I think it currently doesnt have enough function such as writing in the files I hope youll upgrade this app soon Good App

I like that I can open pgn files from the web However being able to re name the file on my 3GS would b worth a forth star to me Could also use better options for searching within a database and the ability to edit game info would be nice Am I asking to much for free Other reviews Ive read seem to be mostly correct Pgn viewer
This is the best app ever created and I am gay for whatever genius made this Also it is a pgn viewer not a PGA viewer which is probably why the misinformed reviewer below is having problems Hi
But could be better and make money with a few additions 1 FEN support 2 Highlight where you are in the move list easy to get lost with complicated sidelines 3 Similarly highlight the last move before and after squares on the board And if you want to get really adventurous 1 Add uci support can use the free stockfish iPhone engine 2 Allow users to create their own pgn files by dragging pieces around useful for quick pgn transcription after an OTB game Great free app
I echo previous good reviews really nice start n useful training tool May become THE goto PGN viewer I would like to see a little more UI support its not as intuitive as my beginner brain must need cuz Im still figuring out the ins n outs of the PGN load n view functions Dev please continue Nice work that with some enhancement is worth charging for PS Love the RAV recursive viewing Very instructive I use with online PGN sources eg PGN Mentor for downloaded examples by player or openingsdefenses Sweet Keeps getting better

This is first and foremost free It has a fabulous clear screen and annotations are legible I did have a very difficult time getting pgn files to show up until I found out through chance that the program doesnt work with some of the pgn files that are out there on the net Dont keep trying the same pgn file or the same source over and over Go to different websites for your pgn files I have found many that work and was able to import them into the system through mail dropbox and sync If this app doesnt have all of the bells and whistles you would like remember it is free Fantastic Free Viewer

A much needed way to review games with annotations I have many chess apps but this allows me to review PGN files with annotations None of my other chess app allow the clear review of written annotation alongside the game itself Look forward to seeing how this app evolves A much needed way to review games with annotations
No help file and instructions on Internet seemingly dont work Cant download pgn using safari and emailed myself a pgn and cant figure out how to get it loaded If I ever am able to load anything will give 3 stars Maybe more once I can actually use it and see how helpful it is As it is now can just look at games in database it came with In need of help
Doesnt work and theres no option to download PGN files from anywhere Using Safari does not work and the app will simply display a message that you have no databases Not sure why it was even released in this state of development No documentation no support Not quite
I have no idea why but some games it refuses to to smoothly and it crashes It also stops working correctly Like I press the next move button and nothing happens and I cant see any further into the game Disappointing Crashes on some games

I got this to view problems where the starting position is given in FEN which is part of the PGN standard It does not handle FEN at all Does not handle FEN
