Chrono Connect Mobile Lite

I was not expecting much from an app considering it is meant to replace a 100 piece of equipment especially since I used it to find the feet per second of foam darts or Nerf darts Amazingly this app is very accurate assuming you provide a surface for the projectile to make an audible hit accurate measurements for range and the projectile as described in the app and ample space for the app to work For Nerf darts 2 feet simply wasnt enough and I ended up using a total of 15 feet instead Nerf darts from elite blasters tend to shoot about 65 to 70 feet per second BB guns can easily shoot upward of 200 fps and another review mentioned shooting a pellet gun over 600 fps so I was impressed that the chronograph could distinguish such a relatively low fps The readings even showed a few fps increase when using old darts and then new darts Chronograph readings are invaluable for modifications when trying to find which modifications actually enhance range ideal barrel length etc So for my purposes it works fantastically I would definitely pay money for this but it happens to be free so download it while you can                 Saved Me 100

I used it with my iPad 2 running iOS 7 I also tried it on my iPhone 4s The microphone on the iPad did better because it was meant to work NOT next to your mouth like the phone I used it beside my competition electronics pro chronograph It consistently read 20 FPS less than the real chrono but it was consistent When my chrono showed a 3 FPS difference from the previous shot so did the app You do have to use a metal stop plate that gives a good sound return Also measure your distances well For the 399 prices for the full version you cant go wrong My distance to my target was 30 ft with the iPad 1 ft from the muzzle and 1 foot below the muzzle                 Works great very consistent

Works great Havent used it sidebyside with a real chrony but the numbers I got while testing my modded Crosman 2100 were just where Id expect shooting 96gr pellets at about 650fps Gonna get the pro version                 Awesome

Product works like a dream Im very impressed and will be purchasing the pro version                 Wow I will be upgrading from lite

Worked on a 22 PCP marauder Didnt compare to chrono bc I dont have one Velocity is what I would expect App missed only 1 out of 11 shots on a small metal target Did not work at all on my spring gun Possibly the spring noise too loud and too long ie the pellet hits the target while the gun is still making noise Probably will purchase the pro version after a little more testing Want to run it through the paces from full charge down to refill pressure           Seems to work on PCP but not a springer

Cant believe its so accurate Make sure to measure for correct distances Would like the the pro version when it gets released                 Accurate and Fun

This is the only way I have tried to measure the speed of my home made slingshot using golds gym flat bands I shoot 177 steel bbs 53 grain and know they should be getting close to 400 fps The app tells me Im getting in the ball park Pretty cool app I say I would have spent some cash for it It will be nice to see how tapered bands add to speed over my straight cut band I used to test Thanks                 Works as a good base line
