Let s agree that the only reason to go as far as erasing the clipboard is that it holds data whose existence on device is unacceptable once the job is done Hence a clipboard erase utility At the time of this review clearboard is the only other app with similar functionality I ve tried both If you choose CLEARCOPY know that it keeps a copy of the last erased clipboard There s no option to turn restore clipboard off IF your use case dictates clipboard data have no way to escape to the outside from within the app it s best to move on Clearcopy can transfer content to other apps and it can use airdrop In other uses some may see that as a benefit This version of Clearcopy is grossly inappropriate for use with password managers copy paste credit debit card entry or anything remotely sensitive that could find it s way onto off the clipboard even for an instant The other app has shortcomings too but none that fatally undermine the reason for use Editorial Clearcopy needs to decide if it wants to be a general clipboard utility or a secure clipboard erase utility different goals that conflict It may be that the task is better left as a feature in a future IOS Some great potential but with fatal flaw s rgtdyyb
