Very confusing UI They tried to pack too many features in when all I wanted was a simple mobile text editor Spent ten minutes typing 10 lines of code out and then it wouldnt even save Tried to Save As and the app crashed and lost my work Codeanywhere this is a great concept please focus on maintaining the basic functionality before you add all these extra features I dont remember what I paid for this but users shouldnt have to pay for an app that isnt even stable        Pretty but not enough Functionality

Beautifully designed app visually Simply doesnt work on iOS 8 Makes me wonder if the developer ever opened it in the new iOS Maybe a warning on the app description would be a good idea if you dont intend on supporting the latest operating system     Doesnt work at all

While enthusiastic about the idea and architecture of CodeAnywhere I find both the ipad app and the web version unusable Clicking on basic buttons eg sandbox Basic stimulates a seemingly interminable delay followed by an error message The combination of intolerable server delays and clearly undebugged function suggests that this promising idea was rushed to market prematurely unfortunately likely killing its chance for success     Great idea not ready for prime time

This is a great app all in all but there are some problems with it One of the biggest ones is after a couple weeks of me coding I wasnt able to open up my folder I could do it on the computer but not on my iPad Also the app does crash a lot I have to save my work every five minutes And this is with the new iPad air Ive tried deleting and redownloading it but that still didnt work This is still a great app and I strongly recommend getting it if youre into website coding or other types of things But this is a little broken and I would much rather like a software on the computer than this                 Great app but needs some fixes

The interface was fantastic but its unusable due to the bugs Fix the bugs Ill give five star           Wish to be able to use it but too buggy

I can write with it but I cant test out my code It would be nice if I were able to write my code AND test it out              I can write

I love the intent and direction great ideas But its clearly got a way to go before anybody can use it When I touch to edit code the code all disappears when the keyboard pops up The app crashes pretty regularly           Nice direction but unusable

JavaScript and PHP are great languages and all but what about iOSMac developers No code completion syntax highlighting etc for native app developers Pass        Umm what about Swift or ObjectiveC

Ran slowly and did not work well with my keyboard arrow keys did not work        Disappointed

Codeanywhere is simply brilliant One of the best iOS apps ever                 Simply brilliant

They dont allow native iOS copy and paste which makes this app not worth using because you cant recycle your code External Keyboards do not work with the app so you have to turn them off or the app wont work No CLI No GIT functions No AWS S3 access No live cocoding just to name a few If you use their 2factor login you cant use the app at all because they released the feature before updating the app to support it CA started strong with being the first cloud IDE to support iOS but now seems to be forgotten I hope this isnt a sign that their business is going down     No Copy Paste No External Keyboard

But in landscape mode the coding panel keeps moving up while Im coding a new line I need to see whats above that line please Stop the auto move up           Okay

and dishonest to boot I wouldnt be writing this review if not for the fact that the developer has clearly tried to cover up the trail of bad reviews by getting his friends to all write 5star reviews just read the other reviews and youll see You cant do anything inapp youre forced to redirect to the web interface which itself isnt even mobile friendly Come on man youre not even trying If al you can produce is crap then youre not production ready pretty simple Get it together and try again in a few years     Perfectly Horrible

If want to do anything u have to go to the web version and then set it up there Then u have to logout of app and log in again to get the changes And you repeat this for everything want to do Hated it Uninstalling it     Useless app

I think its pretty good No issues for me and it helps me change my website from my phone                 Pretty good

it shows vast potential but ftpsftp dont work click on upgrade to premium doesnt work multiple tries to ftpsftp into anything results in fail why if i saved the ftp site would i have to confirm the password mind boggling how these app programmers think the interface is top notch though the only thing going for this app     why release a non working app

One day this will be an amazing app There are some glaring issues but its an excellent start Arrow keys dont work on bluetooth keyboards so navigation is impossible unless you tap around the screen        Really good start

It has issues A lot of customization options are only able to be set inbrowser You cant hold your finger on text to zoom on it Etc That doesnt matter You can increase the text size to the point where you dont need a zoom The web settings are a onetime setup It does exactly what I needed and its waaaaay more polished than any alternatives I love this app and couldnt live without it                 Exactly what I needed

My Zagg bluetooth keyboard works on everything I have thrown at it except for this app The arrow keys wont move the cursor in the code editor basically making this thing a hunk of junk Im just glad I signed up for the monthly plan instead of the annual one Beyond that it looked so promising     Very Disappointed with Keyboard Support

I reported the no editing cursor to support several months ago The iPad version has a white cursor on a white background and changing the theme on the web version has no effect I should be able to change the theme on the iPad itself Still no resolution Unusable until this is fixed UPDATE A year later and still no fix Dont waste you time with this app     No editing cursor on iPad

App needs you to go to a desktop and register your github loginpassword first For example add github account iOS app will redirect you to mobile safari You can login to codeacademy there but it needs you to do a rightclick to add a github account You cant do right click on ios        Not self contained

Stability in an app like this is critical Doesnt have it Preliminary bug report Turning the screen sideways on my iPad mini causes the text to disappear then shows up in half a screen after you pull it down Cannot seem to select words by double clicking or holding to bring up typical cursor helper Crashes when trying to open a new file The color syntax coding is great looks good Until it loses your data during a crash Keep looking           Interesting concept poorly executed

When used in landscape the text section shrinks too much when the keyboard appear and crashes very often but still very beautiful app and very promising Id keep an eye on it           Beautiful App but still buggy

The app is a great idea and the cloud service it provides is well thought out but the inability to use it without constant internet makes it to some worthless It cannot be used on an airplane which would be perfect for an iPad app portable and powerful That is the main problem with the design and some bugs but those should be worked out           Great Idea but misses basic needs

Whats wrong with this app I cant normally select text But the biggest problem that I cant paste text from outside the program Please make the editor simpler so I can select with finger like in all other apps hold and paste So it would be standard iOS text editing At least make an option for that Thanks Rating 4 stars hoping that itll be fixed              Wt

Theres lots left to be desired on this editor 1 It only remembers about seven seconds in the background often returning me to an app without my open files or FTP connection 2 For some unconscionable reason this app has a completely different method of clipboard actions and prevents you from using standard iOS copypaste or even text selection actions Please at least make this a setting I cant select text like this and keep from going insane trying to make simple code edits 3 Speed improvements are needed everywhere Its 13 seconds to open an FTP connection and folder 515 seconds to save a file to the server Couple that with extremely short background runtime and making small code edits is painfully inefficient Ive really been rooting for CodeAnywhere to kill it on iOS so I can finally have a great crossplatform coding solution for personal projects but this app is nowhere near that standard yet     Nowhere near what an efficient code editor should be

How do I view my file like I would on a computer                 Helpppp

Really I read a review that stated this was the best ever Are you kidding me The interface looks nice and some thought was put into that However the usability is the worst Ive seen I simply tried to add an FTP server and that process took 30min to enter the correct data and it still doesnt work User friendliness is horrible too Its obviously written for the developer and not for users I dont get why people publish these apps and not take the time to follow up to assure that it works     Worst Ever Dont waste your time

Of all the unfortunate rough edges of Codeanywhere the worst is that I can fetch code from GitHub edit it but cannot actually persist my changes That defeats the entire purpose of an editor no     Pretty but unusable

I like the app it has a large collection of features that very well laid out in how you get to them and how you switch through them I was actually contacted by their support service two days after installing the application asked me if I had any issues I mentioned a couple quirks of the application that I didnt care for and they let me know that they were working on fixes for most of them great response time and great proactive support                 Great app great support response

Perfect great and amazing if you know what youre doing all these people complaining about things they dont know the first thing about in theyre reviews but its working great for me                 Yeah

Lots of Bugs Its a great idea but doesnt work well Ive sent many requests for bug fixes to support They get back to me quickly but dont actually fix the problems Most of the menu options direct you to make the changes on the web version Issues with Curser make editing a file difficult Issues with the file explorer make it difficult to load the file you want to edit Its a good choice if you want to spend your time troubleshooting bugs for customer service but not if you want something you can rely on     Very Buggy

I first used Codeanywhere on the web Its really a nice app as I can use sftp to access clients servers and even has a built in ssh terminal which is really nice The problem is I signed up using my google account and theres no option for me to sign in using it on my ipad So thats pretty useless because Im not creating a new account considering my current one is premium     Cant login using external accounts

Theres lots of things to improve its confusing to use the copy paste functions and to select I wish it could be normal text to highlight with normal iOS functions There are a few bugs I recommend opening an UserEcho account to receive feedback from this app You should be taking the iOS app more seriously because the desktop app is great an this app has big potential iPhone 6 and 6 plus fix plz           Great desktop app iOS app

I was able to connect to and edit my website via FTP quickly and easily Interface is really nice and intuitive Please keep up the great work                 What Ive been looking for

Doesnt work at all Cannot connect to any ftp servers Always show cocoa errorr It is even not able to display all the error informations     Trash App

I have yet to find the ssh console on this Worthless without sever control        No console

Code editor on iPad is painful and poorly designed Want this to work but it doesnt Tap to select is horrible copy and paste functions are over complicated and under engineered Wont delete so I can change this review to glowing in the future I hope     Wish this worked

This app is excellent in the sense that it can finish structure for you and tags you shouldnt be trying to type a whole website in this app however its great for editing existing files However the inability to open css files is extremely unhelpful WILL MAKE 4 STARS WHEN ABLE TO OPEN AND EDIT CSS FILES              Great for Situational Fixes but

I dont usually write reviews but when I do I make sure its a good app and this one fits that requirement Its nice because I can work on my website and all sorts of stuff when Im not at my chrome book Keep up the great work your service is awesome D                 Awesome app
