The Countertop app pairs with Prep Pad, the smart food scale made by The Orange Chef Company so you navigate, save, and share your nutritional and culinary endeavors in the kitchen. Using simple, intuitive design, ...
Works very well with the PrepPad to provide nutrient information Easy to use and customize for different macronutrient and calorie needs HealthKit integration would make this just about perfect              Great app great device needs HealthKit
Unable to use     Terriblecrashes
The app is useless unless it supports the new update It will crash every time     Please update to iOS 9
I just got the scale today and it doesnt work what a waste of money     Not working
The app does a solid job of assembling meals and their nutritional information The sharing with jawbone up is solid as well But I t appears that the iPhone version of this app does not allow a review of the nutritional breakdown for your meal histories nor to go into your meal histories in any detail beyond a static picture I believe that the iPad app does allow for more detailed meal history If so I wish the developers would be more upfront about these differences in functionality I can get by with reporting meals and sending them to jawbone up But it would be nice to see the historical trends on the iPhone        Solid core Functionality Limitations on iPhone 6
Great ap easy to use and well organized Its really fascinating to see the nutritional information if the foods I eat everyday It also has the option to save meal recipes which is neat                 Chef
So much potential Needs family login for multiple users in same household Needs to save favorite meals so you can weigh say a bowl of homemade soup which is nearly impossible to track as is Needs custom ingredient entry The list goes on Once this app is greatly improved this will be my favorite device in the kitchen As is its an exercise in tedium        Massive Potential Little realized
This product delivers I order this item to better understand my calorie intake and be able to analyze what I am eating I spent hours and hours on at the gym and wasnt seeing results after 6 months of intense training Through research I realized the foods I was eating wasnt the healthiest to say the least and that all my efforts in working out was going to waste due to my diet In fact it is proven that 75 to 80 percent of work that goes into sculpting a good physique is your diet Therefore I realized in order for me to see results to reduce body fat percentage and overall calorie consumption I need to better monitor my diet I looked around at several products but the only one that caught my eyes was the Orange Chef Prep Pad with all its functionality Its not just a scale it is a smart scale Its light small and portable if you ever need to take it with you anywhere but for the most part it will be placed in the kitchen It has got a mini Chef logo on it and the product is made in our good ole US of A The application is great It knows what you are eating and it saves your meals so you can go back at the end of the week and see how you have been doing My favorite part of the app is at the beginning when you are setting up the account you can allocate your daily calorie goals however you like If you are like me and would like to take more protein and less fat in your diet or like many others who are on low carb diet you can easily adjust the pie to your liking I have mine at 40 Carbs 40 Protein and 20 Fat Every meal that you cook the app gives you a score and so you know how what you ate actually measured up against your goals I was surprise the first few times to see how much carbs I was eating and how little my food contained protein A nice little addition to that is that you can name your meal take a picture of it assign it as your breakfast lunch dinner etc and indicate how many servings of the food you just prepared I know many people prep food ahead of time for another day or another time so this function can definitely come handy The product can be used with a plate or container already on it Once its placed on the scale it asks you what it is and if you indicate that its a container prior to adding your food to the container it will zero out the weight of the container so it will only measure the weight of the food you will be adding to the bowl or plate or whatever you have on it Lots of the products we use these days have barcodes including pasta salmon eggs or whatever else you buy from your joes deli shack or Safeway or wherever This product has a barcode scanning function which comes very handy You can simply scan the items you are using and it will tell you exactly what it is I like this function since it is definitely more accurate than typing the food and trying to figure out the exact product to choose from the list In addition since in general people tend to eat the same types of meals this app allows you to add your frequently used ingredient into the app as your favorite for easy access For example I consume a lot of eggs and yogurt and its nice to be able to select them from my saved ingredient I really like this product and I fell like it is a hidden gem and thats why I was compelled to write this much up If you care about your diet and your health this product can be very useful It would also make a great gift for that healthnut family member or friend that we all have I will be on the lookout to see what other enhancements or additions will be made to the app as this is still a relatively new concept with a lot of potential                 Very Useful product
I loved my prep pad but since the new iOS update I cant use as it crashes on my iPhone 6 Fix the app asap or you will loosing a ton of business        Fix app for new iOS update
iOS 9 probe this app it open and then I crashes it doesnt work at all     IOS 9
I emailed a few months back about being able to support iOS 9 when it was a beta You emailed me back stating that you would support iOS 9 when it came out Its out and no update I love the product but the app isnt reliable Please keep up     Doesnt work with iOS 9
As a warning This app will not open with iOS9 So if you rely on this app or plan to dont update your device Thanks for the 100 paper weight     App doesnt support ios9
Ever since the new update The app crashes every time I try to save my meals Very frustratedplease fix iPhone 6 plus           Good app
I like the scale It has been really helpful on setting up my goals for my meals Hitting my macros has been great with this I would recommend adding the ability to change date for meals I have been preparing my meals the night before and I would like to be able to set my meal for a later date Please add this ability as many people prepare meals in advance           Awesome Scale App needs more
I have the app on my iPad which works great so farJust downloaded the iPhone app and it crashes every time I try to scan a barcodeHopefully a fix will be out soon        iPad app goodiPhone app no good
Such a shame to spend 150 on something and excitedly try to use it and find it doesnt work Hope they update the app soon with fixes        Barcode scanner crashes
Love my PrepPad and app So much better than a food scale I just wish they would make the app where it loads into a weight app such as MyFitnessPal LoseIt etc I have all the info but now have to relog it into my weight apps              Great but
The prep pad and app are a terrific idea but the app is so flawed its not yet functional Im so disappointed that I spent 100 on the prep pad        Flawed
The app looks great but has quite a few bugs When I tried to take a photo of a bar code the camera didnt load Next time it did Once the picture was taken the welcome instructions popped up and when I cancelled the bar code product was gone When I turned my iPhone back on and it was the last app open it popped up and my iPhone crashed and reset itself It wouldnt let me save meals I accidentally created a profile with a one letter password and it didnt stop me When clicking on apple health in the apps menu it does nothing No myfitnesspal integration yet which is a shame Lets you take a picture of your food though thats cool The graphical display is very pretty but the process isnt very intuitive Certainly feels like a beta app but hopefully they will continue to improve on it or make the scales open source if they shut up shop        Lots of potential still a beta app
The scale is awesome Apps almost perfect but needs a little more polishing This version of the app is way better than the previous version since you can now add items when they dont come up after a barcode scan The negative part It only allows you to add if nothing comes up which has already become a problem cause I scan Ben Jerrys Salted Caramel Core and Ben Jerrys Triple Caramel Chunk came up Does it have the same nutritional information I dont know because you cant see the nutritional information so it leaves you with this feeling like youre using the wrong nutritional information It also would be nice if you could edit the name photo of previously saved meals I keep a running food log on Facebook that my parents see daily so they know Im eating healthy Itd be nice if the Facebook post function worked every time instead of randomly working sometimes and I didnt have to keep checking if it posted If the app allowed me to add nutritional information for items that arent associate correctly with barcodes and they post to Facebook correctly with the iPhone version then Id rate it five stars           Awesome Scale App Needs A Tad More
I love the concept but I could never get it to work Not even once Returning the product tomorrow     Does not work
The left nav has three different icons There is no tare function on the first screen I move to the last option that has a clocklooking icon It has tare I set my glass down press tare This works I add almond milk It counts it up I decide I want a bit more Dial doesnt count any of the extra almond milk I go to save the entry Look at my nutrition for the day it didnt save Not in meals or the main screens nutrients panels I imagine it would have been fine if I had done it using the main screen There should be a tare function on the first screen I dont even know why that third panel exists Im going to try out the iPad app as it seems like this one still needs user testing and some bugs ironed out On the plus side the barcode scanner seems to work which appears to have been a past issue        Confusing left nav
