Dodgeball is definitely not familiar territory of the iPhone however this game gets pretty close to nailing down the gameplay It s fun challenging but overall lacking There are 3 difficulties and you can set how many rounds each To become a better game this app needs more modes options etc to keep players coming back for more             Good idea just lacking Static Ice

Note that I received a promo code from the developer but this didn t impact my objectivity This game has pretty basic graphic but they do the job The player characters are funny and cartoonish I like them The menu allows you to read the instructions and when you start a new game you can pick the difficulty level easy medium hard and the amount of rounds to win 5 10 15 25 30 50 You control 5 players at the same time and you need to both dodge balls from your opponents and hit opponents with balls of your own You don t have unlimited supplies though you need to wait a few seconds after throwing a ball before that player can throw again However you can still move that player to dodge other balls and you can still throw with the other players The Hard level defenitely starts out harder because your opponent team will immediately throw balls at your team which will cause you to lose players However fewer players in your team allows you to focus on just those two or three and you can still win the match As it is the game is pretty basic but it could become a great game to play with yout friends Right now you need to like the genre in order to enjoy it What would really boost the value of the game is added multiplayer functionality On the device but with a lot of fingers close to the device it may not be the best solution Internet would be perfect as it makes the opponent very real and unpredictable Another suggestion is to decrease the fonts a little to create a little empty space near the bottom The instructions and Back button on the difficulty selection screen touch the bottom of the screen right now Edit Jan 28 09 New features have been added to the game you need to pick up the balls they don t just show up in your hands Also you can catch balls This makes the game more real and adds to the fun It doesn t have 5 star polish so it s between 3 and 4 stars now             Jan 22 09 Played on iPod Touch 1st Gen 2 2 software spmw

After playing this game for the first time on the hardest difficulty I realized the computer AI is flawed I have won every game with little effort However this game has potential If f gap can update the game with a more challenging AI and a more polished feel different character models better sounds in game music and scrolling instructions I would gladly update to a 4 or 5 star rating             Good concept mediocre execution Demoman v. Dodgeball is an enjoyable game however the only variation on the game is completing games with more rounds rather than actually different gameplay or scenarios This could easily be remedied however by adding features like starting out numbered 1 vs 5 or 2 vs 3 etc or by having ball power ups or ways to catch a ball to bring out players back in the game This is a good start but an update with a few new features could make it even better                 Decent effort Needs a few more options davidhenry
