EBee for the iPad

Even when I travel I can get the paper When I first down loaded it I did have a problem about how to pay so I just called the Fresno Bee and they talked me through it Well worth the money of a subscription                 Like it

Using the eBee app on the iPad is the easiest way to navigate the contents and enlarge the section I am reading I always attempt to open the current days edition on the eBee app rather than the mobile device reader However often when I open eBee lately only previous days issues are available The only way that I have found to bring in the current days issue is to remove the eBee app from my iPad and then reinstall it and sign in again It would seem that there should be a way to call up the current days issue from within the eBee app Otherwise I would rate the eBee app at 5              The Best Way to Read the Bee Online

Decided to finally go online and reregister Then went to IPad and it worked Reading the paper on my iPad is less labor intensive allows me to hog the paper and my wife doesnt have to ask for her favorite sections Fantastic                 EBee Review

I have had this app for most of a month and love it Ive received the EBee for two years and was very happy when the iPad app was available last month I have not had any problems it works great                 Great App

Great app it reads like a paper One complaint sometimes the daily paper will not show up until later in the afternoon Today Nov 17th at 1026 the paper had not displayed This occurs every several weeks Additionally the login button is not displayed on the App even though it was activated This is a 5 star app when it works properly           Minor problem

Since I commute to work and the Fresno Bee paper edition does not arrive in time for me to read it in the morning I read the EBee However it is so inconsistent in its time of arrival that some days Im not able to read that either The app will email you every day telling you that Todays Fresno Bee is ready to read however the arrival of that email has no correlation to whether or not it is actually ready to read Half the times when I get those emails it is NOT It seems the other half of the time it IS ready and no email has arrived yet Perhaps most annoying is that the ready to read time ranges anywhere from 343am this mornings email time though I wasnt awake then to check to roughly 6am One would think since this is likely an automated process that the online delivery time could be consistent say 5am just at the paper delivery has a standard arrive by time Highly frustrating     Can I give ZERO stars

If you wish to read the Bee on your iPad use the Bees other app which does not try to imitate the layout of the physical paper and has a reasonably decent interface This app on the other hand is difficult to use it is akin to reading the paper through a magnifying glass it does not behave the way one accustomed to using other tablet apps would expect it to behave and for some reason it fails to update with new papers properly and includes no method to force an update Ten or 15 years ago on a desktop computer this app would have been extraordinary Today it is just clunky Get the other Bee app     Get the Other Bee App

Could not login so after being locked out of retrying I called the 800 number for customer service I though this would go to the app developer but I was connected to the Fresno Bee I was told by both Heather in customer service and Amber her supervisor that the Fresno Bee does not have an app for the iPadI was not too surprised at their poor customer service skills Im sure the morale at the Bee has been challenging but to have no concept of the services that your employer provides is remarkable I commend the Fresno Bee for attempting to evolve into the digital world but it appears they are missing the mark     Really Awful

I have spent about an hour so far trying to get my subscription activated Full disclosure I bought an Amzon Local deal and Amazon emailed the activation code I went through the screens unti I got to select your options but there were no options for me to choose from I tired a different browser No luck The next day I called the Fresno Bee subscription department after waiting and being disconnected several times Afeter a lenghty interview the CSR said you will have to call Press Plus which is the provider of the e reader I waited on the phone for 7 minutes before I got a Press Plus rep and she said we dont have anything to do with the Amazon Local Deals you will have to call the Fresno Bee subscription dept Argggg I called the Fresno Bee againafter waiting for 4 minutes your call is very imprtant to us and the lady said we dont have anything to do with the Amazon deals or digitital service you will have to call Press Plus I was getting upset at this point and pressed the issue so we taked to her manager Sir I just checked with my mgr and you will have to call Press Plus Really OMG Really Im into this 125 hours already and at this point cutting my losses and I will eat the digital subscription fee Really frustrating     HORRIBLE

Still showing the Friday Ebee Nov 16th on the 18th Not good for out of town subscribers who rely on this format of the BEE        Still a problem

This app delivers the bee farther than my doorstep and into my iPad The subscription is a fraction of the cost of the paper version and is so convenient I recommend it                 Convenient delivery

It doesnt say that you have to subscribe and I cantt find a way to subscribe I deleted this app     Bad app
