All in all an average application does what it is supposed to do except for some illogical routing at times Can be an awesome application if the following upgrades are done Landscape mode ability to route through phone contacts text to speech volume increase better routing           Needs Updates

I am so utterly dissatisfied with this app I would have done better to just download the ATT monthly fee app It is not in real time Each route calculation plays you the most basic of route calculations turn by turn directions but its a preloaded animated visual representation of your route In other words ladies gentlemen it is not in real time I mean for Petes sake it has a pause feature as well as a fast forward and rewind features which totally say Hello I do not track your actual progress along this route youve asked me to calculate I have never been so pissed off at an app purchase in my life I practically just pissed away 2000 I can imagine that the app could and would stay in the app store but the real time labeling which is patently false to the tenth power must be removed immediately You know we all pay high dollar for this phone and the plans are not cheap We want to pay it because we have a superior phone with high quality construction and attention to detail but apps like this with inaccurate advertising is most dissappointing I just finished writing a review which for some reason did not save properly so instead of an indepth review Ill skip the formalities and get to it 1 Not in real time plays an animated visual of your calculated route All it ever finds is your current location at the time of your route calc IT DOES NOT FOLLOW YOUR PROGRESS IN REAL TIME As a matter of fact there are screen buttons to pause rewind and fastforward your animations progress not yoursThe writeup for the apps description says its real time but thats total crap 2 Does not give voice guided street names while guiding you on your route Just tells you to turn Wow 3 Doesnt give you integration to search your contacts for addresses All in all it can be somewhat useful if all you want to see is your route animated and played out for you But again thats not realtime and its kinda silly to want to see that because thats what the native MAPS app that comes with the iPhone does already     Not RealTime Worthless

I was travelling from Westpark in Houston to the Woodlands The Route has me heading 610 to I45 which is fine However on the feeder road of 610 it wanted me to turn right on richmond make a u turn and then get back on the feeder why i dont understand why it didnt keep me on the feeder I have had mixed success another night from the woodlands to tomball it had me really screwed up and took me a route that had my wife that has lived here all her life saying where the heck is this thing taking you Hopefully an update will come out soon My worry is that since this is TX specific is that it wont get the updates the west version has as timely Please fix the volume allow landscape mode and iPod control        Funky routes sometimes

When I purchased this app iPhone 3GS hadnt released This app needs to be updated to use the compass and like others have said landscape Mode etc The interface is tricky at first if you sit down and learn it then you can use it quite well        This app needs updated bad

Simple and inexpensive if you are not moving from one state to another The preview helps me confirm the right direction that I am headed in As competetion grows there will be cheaper All US maps to buy                 Like the preview

The app detected our location exactly once when we first fired it up and were connected to WiFi Never again could it figure out where we were Yes I tried it at several locations away from obstructions etc Maps and interface were OK hence 2 stars        No location detection on iPod Touch

It couldnt even find my current location on a map I contacted the company and they didnt seem very concerned     Terrible

Ok So I purchased this gps app as well as the Navigon app I did not like the Navigon app because it takes to long to start up on the 3g I love the graphics and the ease of using this one But here are a few problems I have noticed 1 It seems to think every poi is on the right There not 2 Driving from Houston to Dallas It told me to take 45 South 3 Please please please turn up the volume I would like to give yall 5 stars And if I may beg For those of us with bad eyesight Can you add txt to speach to announce street names Looking foreward to any updates Good start           My First Review

I think the reviewer before me got it wrong This app gives you an option of watching an animated preview of your driving route but it also gives real time turn by turn navigation instructions like any Garmin or Magellan or Tom Tom GPS navigation device If you disallow the app from accessing Apples location services or if you install it on a device with no GPS it obviously wont give you turn by turn instructions though Maybe the previous reviewer needs to contact XRoad Support before he complains in a review I think this app works equally as well as the Garmin StreetPilot I have used My only complaint is that sometimes the volume on my iPhone is a little hard to hear while driving and sometimes the route it picks for me isnt where Im used to driving I tested it out around my neighborhood and once it took me on a route involving a residential street when it could have taken me on a major road I dont think its a big deal though because if you go off course it will immediately recalculate the best route for the new course you have chosen It also has a feature that is supposed to base future routes on your driving preferences ie roads you drive on often and that might make this work better over time In general I think its a great deal for 20 thats way cheaper than buying a Garmin or Magellan or Tom Tom device and it works equally as well I am looking to future updates which utilize the 3GS digital compass which Xroad told me is coming soon              Works almost as well as any standalone navigation system

After my initial two reviews about this app In my second update I made a remark about Tom Tom price leak So guess what My review of this applcation was removed from the reviews by Apple Watch what you say There is no freedom of speech on the iPhone                 Apple censorship
