This used to be my go to app for my vegetable garden but they changed something with an update since last year It s great to plan your garden but it used to tell you how many days you had left until it was time to harvest This was a huge help to beginner gardeners like myself Since they took that away I took away 2 stars Update found where they have moved the the days until harvest While it s not as easy as before it is now back to being my go to app and I ve added the stars back                     It used to be 5 stars Aud75

Well this app is exactly what the name says As long as you enter in when you watered fertilized harvested your vegs it keeps track of it It also has info on lots of vegs plants pests diseases However I find myself editing a lot of the veg info to match the types that I m planting Of course all of the info can be found with a quick google search I paid for this app hoping that I would be able to pick the vegs I was wanting to plant and it would send me alerts reminders for planting transplanting dates as well as keep all pertinent veg info in one place Well the info is there but no alerts This app essentially turns you into a virtual gardener I ve got lots of time for that It uses your location only to tell you your sunrise sunset times No average frost dates based on your location If it is going to use my location why not have the avg frost dates programmed in so that it can alert me to planting dates for my exact location I feel like this app could use a lot more integration Being able to edit plant info is the best part about this app but is it worth it when you have all that info on a seed packet or a quick google search It does has vague info as far as planting dates go and you can program in whether you can plant the veg early or late in the season but not both for some reason some can be planted all season long so you should be able to choose multiple times It doesn t tell you what months dates which makes it hard to understand Maybe I expected too much when I PAID for this app Right now it is just a virtual gardening app with pretty decent info attached to it I m going to stick with it for now and hope it turns in to what I m looking for more of a garden assistant Update WTH it keeps deleting my user notes It s done this numerous times Ugh I m done with this app     Garden Tracker Gchild2005

At first it took me a while to figure out especially scrolling for gardens larger than the screen size To scroll place a finger on each side of the garden and scroll up or down The list of vegetables that comes with the app are a great starting point for the average gardener However if you want to add your own varieties you can take a photo of the seed pack or vegetable for reference If you use the square foot gardening method this app is a must have Well worth the small price Thanks Protable Databases                     Perfect app for square foot gardening chadritchie

Can t believe most of the negative reviews there was really only one issue in that the great update had a side effect of wiping the garden databases people had created But the app is perfect for gardening where you are likely to have the phone with you to record info If you don t see your plant variety add it or duplicate an existing variety Add your own pictures You can have as many gardens as you want split a large garden up into North South and Central in the app for example Created a garden plot in the app for your potted plants for another example Keep notes on each garden and each square and each plant variety Create a separate garden plot for companion planting that overlays another one Don t use square foot gardening Just use the rows and use your own measurement for the plots There is now a link in the app to a manual now There is misc info scattered in the app on compost insect pests planting zones etc The top gardening app for the iPhone Can t believe all the info and usefulness for the low price                     Terrific Garden Tool Elemming

I just got this for my fall garden and so far mighty impressed Went with the 1 99 upgrade and is exactly what I was looking for a way to plan and track my 6 by 9ft plot Like that you can label your grid with your own veggie picture and also add whatever plant you want not constrained to just what the app gives you Look forward to future updates b c this has a ton of potential                     Very solid app VeggieGal

Great app thank you Contrary to other review this app works great for me you need to upgrade to create a garden greater than 2 x 2 and it is well worth the 1 99 I really like how you can create your own plants to add to the application That and the fact you can create your own plot makes this a must have in my opinion Can t wait for spring                     Giving me spring fever Mckalav

This is the first app I ve found that let s you specify your grid size for each bed and I like that it s telling me how many plants per square But previous reviews are right I don t expect them to have every vegetable species and variation in here but they need a lot more basics They don t even have peanuts in here And I need a way to add custom plants so that I can take my own pic and put in my own harvest info and spacing off the seed packet All in all this app has lots of potential Just flesh it out more As of June 8th though it s definitely not worth the money sorry guys         Hope they add a lot more wyldtwyst

This crippled freeware version gives a feel of what the user gets when he upgrades It allows the user to have a 2x2 garden and demonstrates the program in a limited capacity I haven t upgraded to the paid version yet but I probably will if they add some specific features I want Namely features I am looking for are oriented to the Square Foot Garden see the book by Mel Bartholmew if unfamiliar w SFG For example I would like to specify how many of the veggie I planted in a grid 16 for a carrot vs 4 for a lettuce for ex Also would like to specify the variety of the veggie in a square for ex I would plant multiple lettuces in different grids but right now at least in the trial crippled ver I can only specify it is a lettuce not the variety this is important because different varieties of the same veggie can require very different care Those are the two main improvements I would like to see for now If the creators can tailor the program to the Square Foot Garden I believe they would be a success since this is a garden niche that is currently vacant and in dire need of a quality gardening assistance program             Very Promising for a ver 1 0 Trucker Larry

This was a complete waste of money There are only a few dozen vegetables detailed if you can call it detail Read the back of a seed packet and you ll be better informed There s no real tracking mechanism so the app title is a complete lie My kindergardner knows more after one week of sprouting beans in his classroom window     Awful Down 2 dollars
