Ghostery

Excellent browser to block many tracking cookies and Ads navigating forward and backward is hard to work with and would need improving thank you for offering this alternative browser for free              good privacy

I use the Safari Ghostery extension on an iMac and it works extremely well I am therefore disappointed that the OS App falls far short of my expectations The problem is not in its primary function to block ad tracking it seems to do this well The problem is with the crude browser which is extremely limited and buggy Pages display compressed on the left kill the tab and reload to fix and links very rarely open in a new tab when pressed and held A page cannot be AirPrinted I am nowhere close to a Web browser power user but I am giving up on this app as too limited after a couple of weeks attempting to use it        Nice concept but seriously flawed

I use it often to search for products and services It keeps the ads on other apps from being cluttered with things that I dont want              Nice product

Sometimes the links within a webpage simply do not open when clicked upon but what makes this app worth it is that it blocks the companies that track you and it even shows you which companies tried to do such a thing THANK YOU                 Worth it

Although not as good as the original safari the purpose of this app is very needed I only noticed one problem so far If it was something I could find a way to get past I would When you scroll down on a website you cannot go back forward exit out of a tab etc unless you scroll all the way back up Its annoying since it also takes awhile to scroll back up depending on how far down you were Please fix this or tell me a way to get around this that I do not know of Also not sure if youre up for adding features but I think you should add an area to view what trackers you have blocked 5 stars because this app does what it claims to                 Good app

Often hangs up or refuses to connect Not worthless but certainly not worth as much as it use to be     Does not work well with my ipad

Thanks very much for preserving my privacy However Id really appreciate more flexibility in editing andor saving bookmarks Right now I can add bookmarks or shift them between bookmark folders but I cannot reorder either one Or am I missing something              Bookmark editing not optimum

There was a prior version released on Feb 17 or 18 that was broken on iPads About a week later a new version fixed the problem Now it is back a my primary browser                 Very Good App

Discovered Ghostery at DEFCON 2014 it is one of the greatest products ever                 Ghostery

With all the tracking and spyware gone mainstream and normal in the virtual world it is a comforting solace to have a group like Ghostery still fighting the good fight Additionallythey do it for free How much more can you ask for That just gives consumers one more reason to trust this group I would recommend it to any and ALL of my closest relationships Keep up the good work Ghostery                 Feeling Relieved

Ive seen the 23 screen bug Killing the tab seems to fix that Ive also seen an outoforder behavior on bookmarks but restarting the browser puts them back in alphabetical order More advanced bookmark handling options are missing                 Good Overall

I pretty much copypaste most URLs into this app It loads webpages quickly and blocks the trackers                 Love seeing trackers blocked

Problem one seems to lack commitment to browser Potentially could could be one of the best browsers for iOS but searches for browsers dont show this app so demand isnt generated Problem two buggy see above iOS 9 will support plug ins is that the direction they intend to go Thats theyre market anyway Im just going to wait and see        Not ready for prime time yet

On some sites like Google Amazon and apartments dot com Safari will become unresponsive and my connection switches from wifi to cellular LTE and back again After a few seconds it becomes responsive again before again becoming unresponsive seconds later All the while the connection switches between wifi and cellular I hope developers read this and come up with a fix iPhone 6 running iOS 814           Safari hangs on some sites

Excellent idea flawed execution Works beautifully as a browser addon for PCs but not so much as a standalone browser 1 Has trouble returning to the right place when returning from a link 2 Currently the right third of the screen frequently gets blocked off shrinking everything to near unreadability           Still problems

this browser works great much faster than safari and removes all the awful ads and endless tracking simply install and run When app opens go to the web site of your choice and look in upper right hand corner you will see a ghost icon with a number Click than icon and turn OFF ALL THE SWITCHES You will see a line go through them and that s it you will have to turn off tem off only once but once you do they will not come back After the first day you will no longer be pestered by slow loading web sites or annoying ads thanks so much for this wonderful gift                 fantastic

Optimally would like to see Apple buy this app and integrate it into Safari In meantime Ghostery team updating app to work more like Safari would be nice Lately being click jacked from Safari to App Store Clash of app and using ghostery seems to prevent this                 Satisfied but would like enhancements

I use this App to allow me to view some websites that I like that have so many ads that it actually knocks me off these websites Works fairly well for me              Ghostery Review

Seems to work very well however some even trustworthy web links wont open and full screen videos often have the control bar hidden below screen              Canis majorum

The app is not developed enough and its current form The duck duck go search engine does not retain the settings you select The there is no option to share or shave web addresses or links to your pictures or other type of files to any other program I will keep using the browse for its security features but hope that future updates will deal with these issues           Love it on Firefox needs improvement on iOS

Dont bother     Buggy and slow

Im not gonna go into detail this app does everything it claims to do wonderfully The only thing keeping me from rating this perfectly are just two things It has issues displaying some websites forcing me to load them on safari and compromise my privacy and it doesnt have an on this page search feature like safari does which is incredibly helpful for finding something specific in pages that are wordheavy If this browser can do these two things it will become the definitive replacement of Safari              Great just needs a couple more things

Id like to always have it start on a given page Why doesnt it seem to have this basic feature        Set a home page
