I just completed Greek I II and wanted an app to stay up on my vocab This is the best I ve found It s simple and straightforward Just what I was looking for                     Must have for Greek students DavidMohler

This app doesn t support editing flashcard sets which is frankly a little silly given the ease of implementing such a basic feature It also doesn t include common sets like 50 or more occurrences and since creating them is so time consuming and editing them is impossible this seems like a necessary inclusion Finally the app doesn t include all the words in the New Testament only about half A little disappointing given the money I paid for it     No edit function Tsavong Lah

I am using this app with Black s book and some of Black s vocabulary words occur less than 25 times This is a rather expensive app which is understandable but for this kind of money I expect a more exhaustive word list It seems to me that including ALL New Testament words would be relatively easy If Dr Mounce wants to aim it at people using his books he can create a default list with his vocabulary The definitions should be more complete and I agree that the list should be searchable or at least sortable in English too Overall it almost meets my needs                 GreekFlash rick00

The new update is pretty terrible The words are too big for the screen and not all the definitions can fit The content is good and matches with Mounce s Biblical Greek text If they fix the text size so that they can fit the entire definition it will be terrific             Good content poor interface ksong5

This is a great start I love being able to review Greek vocabulary It would be alot more helpful if it gave you an easy way to add words to lists when you come across them during review i e I d like to keep a list of words that I know but still need to review Also it would be nice to be able to set limits on which words it displays based on how often it appears in the text             Good start but needs work .davwii

Without an alphabetical sort or search feature adding to a list can be time consuming at best or down right difficult Compounding the issue of creating lists is the fact that you cannot modify a list once it s created you can only delete a list and start over The ability to add custom words for those low frequency words or classical Greek that doesn t appear in the Bible would be nice as well         Lists need to be easier AKFEC

This is really good at what it does which is show greek words and their english gloss To make it really useful I think the following needs to be added 1 Mark words as learned unlearned 2 More words Without 1 you end up reviewing the same words I know I could make a list but learned unlearned is basic to any flashcard application It s easy to add a word to a list such as an unlearned list but not so easy to remove them from a list which would mark them as learned Without 2 this is only good for a first year greek student I m studying James who uses lots of words that appear less than 25 times so this application doesn t really help for that This could be a great application It s really simple to use and these features would not complicate it             Good at what it does but needs more to be worth 7 richardsugg

Definitely needs an update though to let you SEARCH for words As it is you have to use another resource to look up the frequency of a word then scroll through the vocab list to the approx freq number to find a word This is a hassle It would also be very nice for an update to include all words in all their various forms as they appear in the NT texts not just the way their main entry appears in a dictionary if that makes sense This would help those of us learning verb vocab especially                 Good app languageandexpression

This is a super app Wonderful for learning or keeping sharp Put all the ones you don t get in the first round in their own group and study those more Study in line at the DMV waiting for the movie to start in bed with the lights off or in church In no time you ll have the vocab down My only beef is I wish the vocabulary did not stop at 25 If the words went down to 4 uses I would be a 100 happy camper Can we get that Paul                     Great For 99 of Greek Students John Mark Harris

I m a first year greek student and I have been overwhelmed by the work load of 20 30 words a week If your using Mounce you can organize lists based off of his book chapter by chapter although some tenses don t show up all you need is the root This has been a huge help Stop thinking about it and do it                     Great App Doxologyboy

I too would like to see a right wrong option so that whichever words are right are culled from the list as well as a result when you get through the list to see how you are progressing I had a Palm Greek flashcard program that would do this Otherwise this is a good app             Good app could use more features KKOkayOkay

There s a lot of good features and it s definitely useful however for the price it definitely needs the ability that allows you to search for words or lists them alphabetically or catagorically Having just the one long list is not very convenient If they made the suggested changes I would rate it 5 stars             Room for Improvement A Seminary Student

First of all I do recommend this application It just needs a little more here and there to make it even easier to use It took three tries to make a list of words During the first attempt the application crashed and I lost my list I was scrolling up and down quite a lot and it got more and more sluggish During the second attempt I closed the application and then opened it back up in hopes of saving the list in case it crashed again only to find that my list got wiped out It seems that putting a dash in the list name causes the name to be truncated The third time I didn t use a dash in the list name and now I have all the words I want in the list I have discovered a reproducible crash Simply make a new list give it a name check off a few words and then try to delete the list It will crash It doesn t matter what name you give the list At one point during testing I somehow managed to create a ghost list I can t reproduce this but from what I remember I created a list with a dash in the name selected a few words and went to the Lists page The name was truncated where the dash was I went into the list and found that my selections were gone I tried to delete the list but it wouldn t save an empty list If I selected some words and saved the list it just created another new list If I made a selection and deleted the list the application crashed Basically I had a list that wouldn t go away If I had a way to delete the list in this situation then that would probably have cleaned it up I got rid of it by reinstalling the application Also I found a little glitch if I do a long tap on a list entry while making word selections a different entry gets overlaid on it while it is being highlighted blue This happens more further down in the word list than near the top It seems harmless though I d like to have an alphabetical listing of the words so I can find them more quickly A word search autofill would be nifty too especially if the list were filtered on the fly I d also like to see further refinement of the flashcard reviewing process such as the ability to put a familiarized word away in order to focus more on the ones that need more attention The retained cards could be split off into a new list or the discarded cards can be un discarded in order to go through the whole list again Shuffling would be nice too All that said I m planning to make some good use of it I think I might stick to making smaller lists for now because it doesn t seem all that stable yet I could have rated it at three stars for that reason but the four stars is for putting together such a useful application for learning New Testament Greek I look forward to future improvements                 good but needs a few improvements fwoomp

This app is amazing For a Greek student I always had a ring with flashcards in my pocket or on my desk Now I just pull out my iPod Touch and start memorizing vocab It is so much easier to use than paper flashcards In fact I probably study vocab more frequently now that it is so easy to do                     So much easier to memorize Greek Stearnzy

This is going to be a great app to help me learn vocabulary I would definitely second the request of making it possible to quiz within a subset of cards or within a frequency range particularly for people like me who are learning the words for the first time rather than brushing up on previously learned vocab If possible it would also be great if there was a mechanism to track how often the word is correctly identified so the user could review most missed words etc I like your idea of adding the roots to the cards and hope youhave the time to be able to do that Thank you for taking the time to put this app together                     Thank you Flutegirl

This app conveniently replaces my large box of NT Greek vocable flashards I purchased it to help me use bits of free time in my days to help me stay current with my Greek skills What I like most Easy one handed operation A suggestion Provide an option to lock the screen in either portait or landscape view or maybe even disable the accelerometer In my usage this function was more distracting than helpful especially when lying on my side in bed                 Simple helpful straightforward LucianAries
