I have been using and recommending Handheld Contact since January 2006 FYI I am an Act Consultant Reseller and Trainer and I have 10 clients on Handheld Contact When I saw the review below by Joe The Computer Guy I was really surprised and disappointed In the last seven years I ve never had or even heard of the kind of problems that he had I feel sorry for him and his users and this client because that must ve been an extremely difficult circumstance Despite all the very great difficulty Joe described I would suggest to him and his client that giving up is not necessarily the best solution I have known and worked with Victor Krahn since the beginning I am really glad that he was able to sell his company to Keystroke Quality Computing and remain on their staff I m grateful to Keystroke a competitor of mine for the aggressive investment and boldness that they ve diligently applied to developing and improving the already useful features that HHC now includes I personally use Handheld Contact every day all day long for every call I consider HHC to be one of my most valuable selling tools and so do most of my peers I use Siri to dictate my notes on nearly every call and email I send using Handheld Contact HHC slipped on a bad patch of ice a little while back But they brushed themselves off learned from it and kept right on going They have successfully released several updates since then as well I am really looking forward to the improvements that are yet ahead for this excellent program Go Ken Victor                     Best Act App Around 100YBack

As an IT manager I expect certain levels of usability from the apps I push out to my employees With this latest update I have lost all faith in HandHeld Contact How does a full wipe and data loss bug get missed in testing Why were we emailed days later about the bug Why were we emailed after 2 more minor revisions both of which claimed the fix the bug only to not do so I had to perform a purge and resync on 15 employee devices three times each over the course of the last week Both I and especially my employees had much more important and pressing matters to attend to that were put off because of this undiscovered bug This app was once the pinnacle of keeping ACT relevant it is now a shining example of what happens when people keep a dying technology limping along into a future that does not want it     Wish I could give negative stars Joe The Computer Guy

There have been issues with this app for months The blame is on Microsoft updates I was told We are working on it and the next update will be coming soon Well it came And it is worse So bad the app is unusable Recurring events are placed everywhere some every day even though they are once weekly events in the native app database Birthdays were placed in the wrong day and month This once was the best iPhone app for syncing with Act Now I have no faith or trust in how it handles my data I have deleted and will not reinstall until I hear from them it is safe to do so I doubt I renew when renewal comes up in a month or so I just do not understand a release that is this bad and had no notes attached to the update either     Horrible update Negative Stars RavensMark

It is the best that I ve come across to synchronize my act v16 Desktop with my iPhone Unfortunately it s not 100 accurate and it s synchronization It doesn t always clear activities from one device to another So there is some checking and double checking on your activities             Adequate but lacks good support HFakter

This is a good accessory at putting Act contact info in your hands away from your office I have 3000 with very few crashes It could be great though 1 Notes and History MUST be separated They are currently combined so your notes get squeezed out by History updates 2 The subscription should definitely include 2 devices Paying 2 subscriptions for an iPhone and iPad hints of a lack of customer respect I actually think they will fix both of these issues I hope so When they do I ll be back to give them 5 stars                 Good Act Accessory Could be Great Spar Mack

This app is excellent for someone that uses ACT extensively Now I can manage my ACT and calendar as easily as on my PC Despite some of the bugs the support is exceptional These guys consistently get back to me within 15 minutes and if they don t have a permanent fix they offer a temporary one till the bug is fixed One of the best technical support service I ve experienced                     Amazing support and great App Mrk1010

I wish I could grade with half stars if I could my review would really be a 3 5 There are several bugs in the HHC app I have submitted from the phone The big one to me is the call duration timer does not work The UI is not at a aesthetic level comparable to most apps in the App Store I d like to see the contact list in particular have a similar look and feel to the built in contact app on the iPhone They get the bugs fixed that I have submitted and mentioned here on this review and I ll easily give this app five stars             Call duration timer is broke raa29671

Over the years ACT has been my go to CRM but the problem is when I was in the field With HHC I am able to sync my iPad and my desktop in real time I can make appointments calls and notes from the field and it syncs automatically with my desktop It works seamlessly and I love it                     Perfect blend of my favorite software Mr. Enthusiasm

I have been using Act since the 1980 s and about a year ago switched to a Mac and have been running Parallels I also own an iPhone If you are a user of Act I don t have to sell you on its merits but what a pain it is and what limitations there are using it with any Apple product I will never go back to Windows I use it for Act only Limited mapping duplicated entries syncing that works only half the time Just as I was about to give up on Act I saw on its website Handheld Contact Wow 95 of the time it works as advertised the other 5 is that on occasion it stops working and I am unable to open the software But tech support Craig is very patient                     Handheld Contact Saved My Life And My Marriage Dzrun

HHC worked good on the BB TOUR but since getting the iPhone HHC is an epic failure for me We make appointments on the desktop and on a daily basis they don t make it to my phone and vise versa There are improvements since getting the iPhone but the calendar is my lifeline to running my business A month into reporting the issues and it happened 3 more times that I noticed today alone I m done with this program     CEO Ralph Rizzo

I recently downloaded the 2 week trial of this Ap 1st let me say I love SAGE ACT and have the latest version I am an outside sale rep calling on the automotive industry making 10 20 calls per day Normally at the end of the day I would have to update ACT which took about 1 hour minimum to 2 on a heavy day This mobile version of ACT works quickly and very easily It took me only minutes to figure it out I used to print out 5 6 double side pages every day wasting ink and paper to have the pertinent sales date necessary on each customer Now I print nothing I simply sink my 700 contacts from my mobile which takes around 30 45 seconds or so and then it syncs to ACT Everything I type in the field is there When I call on someone after I get back to the car I hit clear followup meeting date and its done By doing this in the field I don t have to write all this down and then transcribe it at the end of the day back into ACT This means less errors and saves time since its fresh in my memory I am actually working longer in the field making more calls doing it more efficiently BUT GETTING DONE EARLIER I don t like the ap I love it If you are in outside sales using ACT you are nuts if you don t try the free ap This is a God send as far as I am concered                     Ability to update on the road saves me tons of time mmrepper

I ve tried all of the main apps that claim to work with Act this one was the most reliable by far but I still have to frequently at least once a week delete the app and reload my data to solve a hung loading bug They ve told me how to get back running but can t explain what the issue is and e mail responses have been locking and robotic I ve stuck with it longer than any of the others but still not confident in it Also would be nice if the alarms I set would actually ring an alarm They do transfer to Act but unless I look at my calendar I get no reminder of scheduled events             Best for linking with Act but still not bulletproof Blatham489

I used thus app originally on a Blackberry and it worked great When I switched to the iPhone which us an outstanding device this app HHC works but there are too many bugs constantly need to delete and re load at least a couple times a month There is no calendar I ve switched to 123 sync which sync ACT to Outlook which because of Exchange sync to my iPhone         HHC Kenneth Wolf

I used this on my iPhone and iPad Best product out there for Act Users wanting to take their database on the road Wireless syncing works very well Simple interface with all the ones I use anyway Act Fields present including tasks activities history and notes What I found really outstanding is their customer support Emails are answered quickly and they have followed up with phone calls to make sure any issues were resolved First class I ve been told they re tweaking the interface for the iPad This will really push this app over the top and make it well worth the monthly fee Ah the monthly fee Well it s true You get what you pay for                     Great Customer Support Rich Mig
