Hex Map Pro

Its a cool app great for making board games to be played with friends or family or to simply mess around However it would be better if you could put images on the tokens Over all great app              Great but needs

This is an all right app but I use hex maps to draw my dungeons and doing that by simply filling in the hexes for walls doesnt cut it Especially when drawing horizontal walls It looks horrible What would make this perfect is if you add support for free hand and straight line drawing tools and alike Like the tools you see in Microsoft paint So that way could accurately place walls Plz plz do this Also I noticed the map numbers just keep going up and up There is no reset back to map 1 not that I have found anyway Not huge deal but seams rather chaotic If you use squares you probably will have no problem except when it comes to drawing caves           Not bad but far from great

Totally awesome sweet Alabama liquid snake This is hands down THE indispensable app for the tabletop gamer Its easy to use has great features is exceptionally feature rich without being muddled and hasnt crashed on me yet The ability to play nearly any game with this app makes it great for any TT Gamer You can even set up and play a full game of chess or checkers if you so desire Totally worth the 4 bucks To the dev Awesome job Having a great free version just sold you another Pro version The free app proved that the 4 price was worth it for the extra features like drawing and the Dice Mode is pure genius Thank you                 The BEST iPad Battle Map

So far I love it I am a new DM and this helps me throw together ideas I get randomly I am using it for my Pathfinders campaign I am excited for the updates to come                 Awesome

This tactical map apps dev is practically the only one that keeps making hisher features better and better Most others have been silent for the longest time That alone is worth the 5 stars Features keep getting added incrementally and they are greatly appreciated The UI is fast and responsive with no lag or crashing The next thing I would like to see is a line drawing tool or custom object placement system I realize its a tall order so Im willing to wait and keep giving nothing but praise until then Onward and upward                 Crisp smooth reactive interface

this app is worth 4 the only thing i have to say is get it if you dm or if you need to use a gridded map personal requests the app could do with a status make hp attack dex etc and a dice roller                 perfect

The app could use more templates and the ability to make lines bold It lacks stairs doors and other unusually shaped templates although these can be represented very simply with tags and colors I hope to see updates The addition of a very few simple icons would make this app the first actually usable dungeon map creator in the store              A good start

Started with the free one now got the payed one for low cost worth every penny love it                 Simple and very useful

It has been getting better and better with each updated Hopefully soon there is a way to customized the token or import an image onto the token              It gets better and better with each update

First off awesome Been looking for something like this and this fits the bill perfectly Its been commented on before but I agree the ability to upload our own background image would rock That way we can use another art app to design what the environment looks like We as players realize that what we draw wont line up exactly with the grid but we can adjust to that while playing Also the ability to zoom all the way out so we can see the whole board would be helpful The labels are great would like to be able to bring them up individually could use them as that chars signature phrase This is going way out there in development world but when you click on a token it should be able to play a sound clip that we can record Something reminiscent of the diablo series town npc Just as a side comment I know it would be a ton of work to accomplish but a form of path finding for the tokens would be cool That way we click the char thats active then click where heshe wants to move and the token moves there During map creation the designer could place a clear bock on either the squares or the hexes to tell the program what is impassable Just a thought All in all tho my friends and I use this every time we play now Its quick and easy Keep up the good work                 Like it but needs a tweak or two

Although this is a very useful app for designing maps for my pathfinder games there are a few issues First it would be nice to be able to place a pattern into a space instead of just solid colors Second I wish that there was a way to number the edges so that it would be easier to copy the map to a board Finally I wish that I was able to leave a note like leaving a notice that this square is a trap However the app works as advertised and I have not found any bugs              Good but missing a few things

Really awesome As a few suggestions make patterns available for drawing with instead of just solid colors an undo button and the option to network or share with friends Otherwise great app and reasonably priced weve been looking for something like this                 Awesome

I was looking through the pictures and reading the reviews and I was convinced that this was the mapmaking app for me It looked like I could make extensively detailed maps complete with borders and stairs and words But upon purchase and investigation I could do none of those things In fact it seems that all I can do is color hex squares and add tokens If I want super detailed maps I have to make them in another app and then import them into this one I dont think I need to take the time to do that when I can just invent a way to make it work on the map maker that actually let me make a map        I must be confused

This is a great app to plan out and generate pen and paper games but can be used in so many other ways i would greatly appreciate a way to copy tokens without having to set them as default                 Great map app

The ability to import background images or our own token images would bump this up to a 5 EDIT I should elaborate I run a lot of modules and currently I take images of maps from those modules and use them in a virtual tabletop program Id like to be able to do that in this program           Good could be great

This app can serve many purposes from war gaming to rpg sessions The ability to have both front and back sides of tokens defined is a nice touch There are still areas that it can grow in ability but so far is very useable              Very simple to use
