This app has an exceptional interface with Google maps It is speedy and clear You can remove or add various POI depending on what you want to do The GPS functions great It found me within 20 feet or so of where I was standing There are lots of trails marked on the maps The developers are still working a few small bugs out They are aware of these I had some great communication with one of them I only gave it 4 stars because of these minor issues If there was a 45 that would have been my rating To the developers Excellent work keep it up PS They have a snowmobile App coming out too Excellent program
This is an excellent app well worth checking out Ive been hiking in the central dacks for many years and Ill still find a use for this handy tool The GPS and map functions are similar to other offerings but this one adds several benefits One of my favorites is the elevation profile along with notes on trailhead location and some specifics on the trail itself Business markers with phone numbers is also useful I look forward to the addition of more trails and businesses Excellent Hiking App
This is a great app I love that trails camping biking and businesses are listed Im an avid hiker and will use the app often in the future Looking forward to the snowmobile app I hope itll have snowshoeing trails as well Thanks ADK hiking app
I get that this app is trying to show popular trails in the Adirondacks but overall I found to be very useless I was hoping that I will be able to drop pins and this app would calculate total distance and elevation gain but that is simply not the case Under whelming
I see no trails at all Unhappy user
Really was expecting a more detailed hiking map Its missing quite a few obvious and known hikes Hopefully updates will have more Do not make this youre only app for hiking the ADK Expected more
Everything about it is lousy 1 No search 2 Many trails are not marked and not even mentioned so we were very confused with the trails we saw 3 Bad interface 4 Current location is hard to see unless you at zoom in 5 No recommendations 6 No photos In short this is really bad app Dont buy
I have around 180 apps on my cell phone and this one has been probably the most aggravating for me to use You almost have to beat the iphone screen to get it to open it opens when it feels like it This was a fairly expensive app and for the price I would not recommend it until it gets better I am fairly computergeekily oriented and found this program rather difficult to use It does have some farily useful information in it once you can get to it I have also noticed that many of the highlit trails are located out yonder with no loops For the price save your money and buy a guidebook from the Adirondack Mountain club Needs work to be more useful especially for the price
