For those who love the great outdoors and want to explore the amazing Glacier National Park, this application is for you. It provides easy-to-use day hike information for more than 70 hikes in the park. It ...
Has really good maps and lots of good info I am going back to glacier and I think it will be very helpful                 Great
There were so many trailheads we would see and there was nothing written on them The app helped us with some of the planning of the hikes but we still needed several other references           Ok definitely not comprehensive
This is a VERY basic app that provides minimal maps descriptions or details about any of the great hikes glacier has to offer This app would be fine if it were free however at 199 someone is making a profit on this worthless app There are far superior books on hiking Glacier        Expected more
This is one of those apps that you think Why hasnt anyone done this until now It does exactly what it says it does it provides you the hiking trails And it does so in a very welllaidout format Ive bought a bunch of these apps by TUA Outdoors and have used two of them They worked perfectly for planning and I just cant recommend them enough if you plan on visiting any of the parks They are a nobrainer purchase I cant wait to use the rest of them at the other parks and use them again at Yellowstone and Grand Teton The best way I could describe them is that theyre like having a Falcon Hiking Trail book in a great concise format on your iPhone I love them                 So Simple
Im going to Glacier next month and was looking for hiking reference material I flipped through and looked at the screen shots and thought this app was worth a download The reference info is basic but useful I liked the organization of the hikes by region and then by difficulty I liked the quick synopses of the hikes Even the average temperature and precipitation by month info was a useful addon I also liked the profiles of the trails where the vertical rise is shown However this is where I didnt read the description carefully enough Not all of the hikes have a trail profile that shows the elevation changes you can see an example profile in one of the current iPad screen shots only the trails rated as strenuous So a moderate hike will not show where the trail rises and falls That would be a nice addon for an update but at least the toughest hikes are graphed out Also the Trailhead locations map is coming from Google over the Internet so it may help in trip planning but its not going to help you when you get to Glacier and you dont have data access The basic area maps that show the trail locations will at least provide some reference The weather is also coming across the Internet When I reread the description I saw that these items had been called out but I didnt catch them on my first read In spite of the minor issues this looks like a really useful reference for planning the trip and for using in the park              Good So Far but read the description carefully
