The HiNative - Language/culture Q&A platform is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting different languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Turkish. It weighs in at only 14.5 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0.0 has been released on 2014-10-14. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. This is a great program especially if youre learning a language I highly recommend even if it wasnt free This program was made by the same people as Lang8 another great program I recommend checking out So far the app works great on the iPhone 6 If you are having problems with the app its still pretty new so please be patient You could also just use the website from your phone or computer Great job guys keep up the good work If you are learning a language youll love this

This app is indispensable when it comes to language learning Ive been able to get almost instant feedback from native speakers on countless questions This app puts me in an exciting environment of people who share the same passion for learning another language as I do It gives me access to answers when my Japanese teacher isnt around 毎日このアプリを使う One of the most useful language learning tools

I like the concept What I dont like at all is that you cant select and copy answers someone has given you Especially for languages that dont use the normal alphabet this makes the app almost useless Im studying Japanese and if someone answers my questions or corrects my sentences with Kanji there is no way to easily find out what the person is telling me Except for asking the person to write it in alphabet or Hiragana in case of Japanese Thats more than annoying Please fix select copy

Love the app but if you want push notifications for replies to your questions they will also spam you with nonrelevant notifications Great appbut spams you incessantly

A great way to talk to get help from native speakers of another language This apps only problem is its lack of people since its brand new DOWNLOAD IT Fantastic learning device

I downloaded this today and it is awesome I would recommend this to all my friends studying another language D Just one suggestion it would be really good if we could save answers into a little bank That way we can collect answers that will help us later or we can go back to easily because sometimes the questions that are asked are little things that arent always taught at schooluni and its easy to forget SUGGESTION

The app is still very new As such there are definitely some bugs to be worked out But overall the app is excellent and has already developed a really great community in a short amount of time This app is perfect for basic questions and ones that are a bit more abstract colloquial terms etc And its fun to help others learn the language you already speak Learn from actual people

Most questions are answered quickly and are very helpful Very helpful

Ive been registered at lang8 quite some time and when they finally released hiNative I tried it right away There are more and more users every day Im amazed how the community is very helpful and friendly Very good

I find the app to still be a little buggy the push notifications to be slow at times Also were is the friends list for lang8 or messages Friends list

Please add an option to only allow native speakers to comment on your question I keep getting useless comments from nonnative speakers trying to boost their comment count These fools just copypaste definitions from the internet I NEVER want to see comments from nonnative speakers I thought that was the point of using an app called hiNATIVE Also please do something to prevent people from asking questions in the wrong location I constantly find random languages showing up on the English page Some people do not know how to use technology properly andor they dont bother reading instructions that are right in front of their faces These two things are extremely frustrating Please fix them asap Very useful app when used properly actual native comment on your questions Add restrictions

This app is soooo useful Im learning Korean i can ask so many questions from natives which is so helpful Pest app

This is a very good app but I think that there should be a private messaging system and also friends and friend requests Great app

Easy to use app instantly connects you to native speakers who can answer your language questions Currently experiencing a bug when using on my iPhone 5s that the app randomly closes when I attempt to rate whether a statement sounds natural or not Some kinks to work out but great concept

Still early days so keep in mind there are some rough edges but the basic functionality is great It goes a long way toward solving the tricky language learning problem youre trying to say something but dont have a native speaker handy to check whether youre saying something in a natural idiomatic way Now you can just ask and get pretty close to instant feedback Plus its surprisingly addictive Still early but super useful and addictive

You can get help if youre learning a language and also help others learn your native language Recommend this to your friends please because some languages lack people that can answer questions and it takes days until you get a response whereas other languages only need a few minutes great app

Its a great idea But far far too annoying to keep on my phone It sends promotional push notifications at least once a day sometimes more than once Constantly begging me to use their app over and over This is an addition to the piles of emails they send as well Most annoying app

Its about time there was an app that helps people learn languages Its a fantastic way to connect to other language learners There are a lot of things that books can not teach about language and this app helps connect you with native speakers to help you learn to say sentences with correct grammar as well as some slang terms that you did not know you wanted to learn Five stars all the way About time

I feel so helpful so useful using this app You can just log in see whats up help out a total stranger all in a matter of seconds The interface is beautiful and simple really appreciate how they designed it to be so easy to use So cool

Every time I try to do anything on this app it gives me an error message and tells me to try again Obviously is a new app Constant errors

I dont see the value to update The annoying bug is still there and I have reported this problem to the tech support many times The bug is still there
