Home Inventory LITE

I downloaded the Home Inventory Lite and had trouble even registering it Gave me an error message right away Then I deleted it from my iPad and tried to reregister but had to go back to old username and then it did the same crashing I think it needs more work as Ive never had this kind of trouble before with any apps And Ive downloaded hundreds on an iPad 2iPhones 3iPods plus more     Crash Baby Crash

This app wouldnt be good if it was free It produces illegible images on just about anything you take a picture of I couldnt get one receipt to be legible in any lighting condition or with tweaking the settings Stay away from this app until they figure out a way to improve the quality of the images it captures     Horrible app

I tried the Lite version and was totally sold so I ended up buying the full version and I have to say I am really happy with this app I have tried all of the other inventory apps and this one packs the most features for the buck and is the easiest and most intuitive to use If you are looking to create a great database for insurance or just to keep track of your important assets then look no further                 Great Product

Is there a way of importing from a database I keep most records in Excel and would like to be able to merge the records and thus access them from anywhere           Importexport

The App seems pretty straight forward it just does not preform It cuts out when you add or modify items It also cuts out when you go to look at some of your items but not others When I say cuts out I mean the App quits and you have to log back in So basically you cant use the App I was looking at this as a test for the full version to see if it would be worth purchasing The web portion works ok     Glitchy

An error has occurred while attempting to sync with the server Check your internet connectivity and try logging in again Funny thing is ChromeEmail works fine this is over a home wifi connection I preregistered the account on their website and logging in with my web browser fine using the account created however the same account with their application gives the above error making it impossible to use the application would of been nice being able to control your data through their site and the phone but alas no such luck     Sync Error

I was able to easily do a complete home inventory with my phone When I thought I was done I noticed extra items that I missed and was able to add them with this apps website I have never seen this feature before Now I have a home inventory on my phone as well as on their website incase I lose my phone This app was so simple and yet all encompassing I showed my insurance agent and he was so impressed he was thinking about getting an iPhone just for this application I did have one question about adding photos and receipts the customer support team emailed me back with the simple solution in less than an hour If I could rate it a 10 I would since I never even had to look at a manual The full color reports are perfect for my hard copy files Living in a hurricane zone this is a must for us                 Best priced Home inventoy system ever seen

Like others Im glad that I downloaded the lite version first before spending money on this program I first had problems setting up the login Evidently the server was having problems as other reviewers have mentioned as a frequent event After a couple of days I was able to login This was as good as it got I then tried to start adding items and couldnt get past the screen of creating a category I entered a name pushed Done and CRASH Happened several times in a row I then went to the Sync screen and told it to do a Sync Now CRASH Im looking for a good Home Inventory App but this one is not the one not at least until it has undergone some testing and all of its problems are fixed     Crash Crash Crash

Got the signin email 2 days later By that time I had deleted it Figured that was as good a sign of what I could expect from the app     Worthless

I used this to inventory my supply truck Customized a few catagories and now I have an exact list of everything thats there Perfect for my insurance Been burned twice I know fool me twice shame on me by people breaking into my truck This will save me the headache of trying to figure out what was on the truck                 Perfect for my Supply Truck

I love this app idea However itll take forever to type in one item at a time Otherwise this app is useless Please add barcode scanner then Ill buy the pay version Also please make it more attractive Thank you     Need barcode scan

I look at these reviews and I cringe Why so nasty The product works for me and there isnt another one out there like it yet I downloaded the free version and it opened fine on my iPad Yes the 2X version looks a little clunky but Id LOVE to see it optimized for iPad I noticed that there was no option for a Safe deposit Box This program would be Ideal for that Thats what I needed right now I was able to create the necessary location and the categories with no problem Syncing onsite is a great idea too The free version allows you to create your online inventory too Can you say Free is Good My only concern is the fact that valuable PERSONAL data will be stored online at someones website Thats critical then for heavy encryption Personally Id like to see another layer of encryption AFTER you log into the website Many MANY banks do that Ill still work on the free app and see if all that I said still holds after the honeymoon              Man you guys are CRITICAL

I like this app I like what it can do and I like what it does online Fix the iPhone data entry glitches to make them work like most other apps do ie Autocapitalize text entries and have a tab or next button to move quickly through data fields I will definitely buy the full version when this is fixed Thanks           Glitchy but getting there

Its a good app but for me it didnt have everything I needed LIKED It had some good predefined reports setup to that I liked Another BIG plus is that it has a Mac companion version so you can access your stuff anywhere you can get online hence the registration which MS2 did not DIDNT LIKE I didnt like the fact that I had to register online to use it Even this trybeforebuy version The feature set wasnt very deep and the GUI felt kind of clunky It seems to be a better choice than the MS2 if I were using it for insurance purposes rather than keeping track of a wide variety of collections or ebay items I want to sell This is not a bad app Its really good in fact Just not a good fit for me I ended up using MyStuff2 which just fits better for me Good work though dev           I liked it but didnt love it

Comes with an accompanied web app that allows you to enter in your items via the website and then synchronize the items between the web and phone app so you always have two identical inventories Note No other iPhone app has this feature 1 favorable feature                 Love It

Do not bother with this app You must sign up in order to use the app the first time Once you sign up and open the app all it does is sit there saying syncing with server I removed the app and will not return to this vendor     Dont bother

I dont love this app But it has a good start going It really needs a bar code scanner Also it is pretty bland No life or color to it at all           Could be better

I dug the app enough to buy the full version You have to respond to an email they send to you to ACTIVATE the freebie after which everythings golden I like the lite version as a freebie its great but I actually bought the full version to get the website backups which serves me well I own a recording studio and use this app to inventory all of my recording gear with serials and pictures to protect against theft Cant say enough good things about it actually What I CAN say what makes the biggest difference to me is that this app looks feels and runs like something Apple would make Far as Im concerned that says it all                 This is COOL

I downloaded the light version last night There was a problem receiving my confirmation email I sent the developer an email stating my problem and he replied within a couple of hours The problem was then fixed GREAT customer support This seems to be a very good app for the 499 full version price I do have a couple of suggestions though It would be nice if it would integrate with IPhoto for us Mac users Being able to drag drop photos instead of uploading would be nice Being able to have more than one photo per item would be appreciated as well I will be purchasing the full version based on the look of the app the reports it can generate and the customer support Good job guys              So far so good

I tried this App out before purchasing the other version and Im so glad I did because it doesnt work I created a user name and password and all it says is syncing with server for at least 5 minutes then gives an error message Guess Ill try a different App Looks cool though     Syncing with server

It crashes without exception Account setup fine from the web app not so fine from phone Remember to look in your junk folder if you dont see your activation email Ill wait to see if the Lite will ever work before I pay for the full version Great concept but not general release ready     Lite is light on quality

Ive tried to login many times over the last 3 days but with no success Tries to sync for several minutes and finally throws a sync error Have tried wifi which is working properly on all my other apps and 3G No workee Glad I tried the free one first     Cant even log in

Sat there and watched the app saying syncing for 10 mins Website says it takes a while because a lot is happening I call BS All it is was the initial sign in Username and password thats it What will it be when I have a house full inventory to sync No thank you     What a app

This is a great little app Definately worth buying                 Great app

otherwise not worth paying First of all make the signup optional That scares people away Tell us later why signing up is important especially for syncing So can you let us use and play around with your app first Features needed 1 add barcode scanning 2 add capability to generate and print barcodes right on time to use the new iOS printing capability where we can specify a text to it Print it on a sticker and stick it to each of my properties How fun would that be 25 if you cant generate barcodes in the iphone then make that capability to our online account in your website It would be much easier for us to create barcodes that way and print it After printing time to stick it and scan it to our iphone 3 export data to other file formats such as xls and print reports as pdf           More features needed

I tried to reload the program twice and it still will not sync with the server     Will not sync

Tells me I have to sign in before I can use it So I do then says they will send me an email to confirm before I can start I never got an email So I cant even use the app Requested another email and it says one has been sent already Frustrated     Helloooooo

Glad I tested Lite version before spending any money on this app Process of entering information is slow and tedious Some fields cannot be edited such as bedroom After numerous attempts gave up on trying to login to website via computer to synch with iPhone The use of a property inventory record would be very useful for any number of reasons but this app does not come close to providing a useful one Dont waste any money on it     Barely Above Useless

Good concept not completely thought out Most if not all inventories have an order why cant we sort anything or at least download to a spreadsheet to do it ourselves Thanks but no thanks Ill keep looking        Sort alphabetize Please

I am enjoying inputting my record collection including photos I found two issues that an update could solve 1 Please alphabetize the items that we input This will be easier to locate multiple items quicker especially a huge list of items 2 I wish we could have more control over editing deleting and moving up and down the category fields I dont need many of them at all And if I do add one I wish I could move it higher up in order as it stays at the bottom Otherwise great work guys and gals              Good App Need 2 updates plz

Limitations of the application aside there are Countless problems with sync accessing the online information and software crashes Its a great idea but a poor execution of the application Thank you for the free demo at least didnt waste any money     Bad execution on a good idea

A friend showed me this app and I had to log in and download it for myself I have had to deal with my insurance company before when we had a flood and an app like this would have saved us so much time energy and frustration                 Awesome idea

I found it easy to navigate prompted me for additional information I havent synced it yet and would like too so I can send a report from the server as listed So far so good                 Works well for me

They say it works on the iPad and well yes it doesif you like a SMALL screen size I would expect it to be full size and not not only a third of the screen     Not on iPad

Having to manual enter product info could be done via a barcode scanner           Needs barcode reader capability

This is an excellent app and it is easy to use However it has one major problem You cannot edit any of the fixed fields If one was able to edit those it would make this app one of the best inventory apps I hope they update this              Good App only one problem

As far as features I chose this app over all the other home inventory apps in the market The big problem is that it is simply unreliable Changes didnt sync items disappeared after inputting them or after making changes Sometimes changes would show up in the report sometimes not The interface isnt really smartphonefinger friendly If they could fix these items and perhaps change a few features they would hands down have the best product on the market In the mean time disappearing and changing data is simply a deal breaker        Almost there

This is an excellent idea and one needed by everyone I found the LITE version sluggish on my 3GS with 401 Moving from one field to another was not smooth and not as simple as tapping or nextingthis caused me to have to enter data more than once Frustrating since if you hit save you have to go back into the item to edit more fields Entering data from pc on the web site was much easier however slow I suspect for the price I paid the servers are not the best hardware and lake backbone infrastructure This is where I become very concerned If I pay the price which I would like to do I want to feel confident that my data is 1 safe 2 secure ultimately 3 THERE when I need it I am concerned about the fact I am depending upon someone whom I paid 5 to be there five years from now when I have a disaster and need my data Granted I may print out reports and have the data however that defeats the purpose of having a dynamic database in the cloud accessible from various locations I want to believe in this app but right now not willing to commit funds toward it Thank you for the LITE version for I would have been very disappointed had I paid for what I got here           Great idea needs work but has promise

I couldnt even create an account It kept telling me that my email address wasnt valid Im not an idiot I know what my email address is and know how to type it correctly Gave up and deleted     Tried to create account 3 times error each time

My significant other and I are always arguing about taking inventory of our stuff to renew our insurance Finally I decided to look to the App Store This app is easy to use and great and I love the reports and the ability to add pictures I had a problem signing up because I did not get the email but their support responded quickly              Bought the full version

The lite version of this app always closes whenever I try to putting an item after category Cannot get past level 1 Fix this crash immediately Very frustrating Did you not test this completely before posting     Buchi

App constantly crashes when we try to add new locations or new objects My wifes iPhone does the same thing We wont be using this software if we cant do the most basic functions of the app     Crashes all the time

This is a great app It is easy to use and great method of managing inventory Customer service helped with a sync clog which they are working on                 Had a sync clog but customer service quickly hrlped

Never got past the request for a login There is no reason this company needs my info to make the app work They just want to sell it and make more money     Really I have to create a login
