I appreciate using i Blue Sky mind maps and recent features very much however with a bigger file the app crashes as the virtual plane is stretched The newest bubbles sometimes don t save from a crash If the updates to come solves the crashing and perhaps offer different viewing options like collapsible bubbles or a globe version that would enhance an already enjoyable app             Good App Blueskyfan

This app is nice and easy to use functional and helpful However if you are using an iPad the graphics are very pixelated and blurry I m disappointed that it looks good on my iPhone but not on my iPad especially cause it has been a featured app with Apple Another disappointment if I want to transfer Mindmaps from my iPhone cause I had an idea on the go to my iPad there isn t a way to do so You can get a graphic of the Mindmap and a bunch of different formats but where is the ease of transfer from one Apple product to another I e mailed it to myself from my iPhone to my iPad and couldn t import to iPads iBlueSky app I have been looking for a better app that is more cross device compatible and cleaner looking on the iPad         iPad users beware D.C. I bought this because NovaMind pushes it on their site and I needed to view and edit my NM maps on my iPhone DOES NOT WORK First the link on NovaMinds site to upload your maps to iBlueSky s server is bad IBlue says they have been trying to get NovaMind to correct this for months with no luck Great So much for the two products working together Seoond after going through the activation steps with IBlueSky you finally get to a beta site to upload your map I tried on two seperate computers and both times got invalid request each time regardless of the tree structure and e mail addresses used I guess it is a Beta site for a reason This is not a cheap app at 9 99 IF you expect it to work with NovaMind don t waste your money     NovaMind interface baloney JFCM1000

Elegant simplicity is one thing however the app doesn t incorporate basic mind mapping techniques in its functionality and has little capacity for allowing the user to make even the simplest changes There are cheaper mind mapping apps that are way more useful Go find them     See Midfield Thoughts excellent review EnShaw527

I suspect there is a cogent reason why this app has not been rewritten or upgraded to run on an iPad if there is it eludes me I am disgusted at having purchased a fairly good app for my iPhone only to find that on moving to an iPad I needed to purchase a competing product iThoughts in order to perform mind mapping work in HD resolution herein lies the road to failure folks if I were reviewing the app itself in a vacuum I would rate it at 4 stars in terms of meeting my needs for a multi platform it s an abject failure wake up smell the coffee see if you can do better than Novamind s abysmal failure at moving their purportedly compatible v5 release to Mac such ineptitude gives mind mappers a bad name         sheer frustration Bread Baker

I m just replying here because it seems that a few people think that all we got was a carriage return When in a bubble if you hit the edit button you are able to write a real note for your branch point This is also where you can change the color Although this update has increased the responsiveness dramatically which is great I feel things have gotten a little too twitchy I m sure this will be fixed in further updates In any case I m glad this program is evolving The iphone is not an easy platform for mind maps but this software does a pretty good job and it s extremely useful Subway rides have never been this productive             They gave us real notes and speed but now it s a little twitchy NoWayJoseHND

I use this program all the time Not just for projects but for introspection too When I have a gnawing doubt or am conflicted over a choice you know how it goes It s wonderful and elegant and they send you tutorials How can you lose It s also a paradigm shift No more outlines for example It also just feels right the bubbles look a lot like the neurons in your head so that makes sense I haven t had it for long but I m already starting to rely on it more and more No telling what uses I ll get out of it Kind of like when clocks first showed up At first they were just tinker toys But believe it or not there s a direct connection between clocks and the industrial revolution Tinkering with those toys started giving us a lot of ideas                     Incredible for self therapy too Pneumatikon

I don t understand all the glowing reviews I ve had this app for a while and I really wanted to like it but I never use it because it s just too limited You pretty quickly reach the edge of the page When you add a node it often places it in a bizarre place It gets pretty sluggish And you can t set the color or size or font or any other attributes at all or add notes or have multi line text And you can t backup or email your ideas without sending it to the company s servers It feels like this should be the free lite version For any project simple enough for this to handle I don t see why you d need an app at all It s a pity but I ve gone back to using the notepad app until something better comes along     Too limited jansmn

I use NovaMind Platinum on my MacBook Pro and utilize this app on my iPod Touch when I m away from my computer Simple interface Easy to use Great companion for my robust computer app I have used it for everything from brainstorming a full weekend retreat to a simple shopping list Exports very nicely to Nova Mind The only short coming I have is the imports are a bit cumbersome not as simple as the exports Highly recommend this app especially if you use NovaMind on your computer                 Great App to Partner with NovaMind Mike Sheley

The breadth of this program is impressive and its potential is formidable That said the zooming in and out via double clicking and pinching is horribly awkward and frustrating enough to stop the idea flow it is meant to facilitate It obviously is an example of an app which bit off a bit more than it can chew because details like this on a very limited screen are vital It seems to be an easy fix just make zooming less sensitive with a more gentle control Fixing this will greatly improve my initial reaction         Difficult to Control Devil'sOtherOpinion

I ve been a fan of mindmapping for the last two years it allows me to record and structure my thoughts while allowing my mind to stay as unstructured and playful as it does while daydreaming I use a variety of mindmapping applications on the computer nothing integrated across all the platforms that I use and I m happy to say the recent upgrade of iBlueSky has pushed it much higher on my to use list for mindmapping tools and to the top of my must have apps for my Ipod Touch Double tapping to zoom in and out of the canvas in combination with the branch colors allows me to design much larger more complex maps on iBlueSky than previously while still allowing for a quick visual recognition of the separate nodes and branches And text notes allow me to finetune my thinking on a specific idea to my satisfaction without cluttering the map or diffusing the focus on other possible ideas to develop And while there are desktop applications that allow for much more customization and festooning of nodes than iBlueSky none of them have the freedom I can get by taking iBlueSky on my Ipod Touch going wherever I want and brainstorming Since iBlueSky s upgrade to 2 0 I ve had a dozen great ideas while lying on the couch listening to music and thanks to iBlueSky I caught them all Finally I should point out I had an initial problem getting the t to display for nodes with text notes and sent an email to support at Tenero It was a minor issue but I got an instant reply and clear helpful instructions I ve contacted my other non app mindmapping providers with similarly minor issues and have received responses ranging from being completely ignored to receiving partial help with no response to follow up questions My experience with the helpful and gracious technical support at Tenero convinced me they were a company that wants to succeed by building a strong product and providing strong customer support and that s a business plan I d like to support as a consumer Their customer service along with the very strong update to iBlueSky made me decide to write this review If you like to brainstorm mindmap or simply capture ideas as they come to you iBlueSky deserves your attention                     Strong Update Great Customer Service Brings iBlueSky One Step Closer to Killer App Status J. Latest Update finally some enhancements arrive and credit is deserved by the developers However the simple elegance of the original version of iBlueSky is not replicated in the new features Were the new features developed by a different person For example too many steps to get to a note Also on a crowded map it is difficult to tell which node the T indicating text for the note refers to Other mind mapping programs handle the note function more effectively I raised my overall grade to four stars and hope the developers continue the improvements and maintain the elegance of their original concept throughout all of iBlueSky s features Original review I use mind mapping extensively and until now had not found a substitute for my Moleskine journal at times when laptop use was inconvenient The world changed when I found iBlueSky Easy to use and manipulate branches my spare moments have become productive I create mini maps and then email them to myself for inclusion into my larger X Mind maps on my laptop iBlueSky is an impressive program I recommend highly I have purchased iThoughts as well but found it more difficult to use too much time spent in the mechanics of the program as compared with input creativity Go with iBlueSky it s worked very well for me                 Not as elegant but progress Cheka1917

Outstanding update in Version 2 0 Very useful very easy to use Importing exporting with NovaMind greatly increases flexibility Exchanging mind maps between desktop and iPod is wonderful Multi line capability within a bubble and ability to add text notes has already paid off Flexibility with branch colors aids following large maps on the iPod Larger mapping space is also useful The memory management for the large space shows up as a slight delay it is short in painting the screen from time to time a small price to pay for the features and map size The simple straight forward user interface is maintained with increased power and flexibility The rotatable keyboard rocks for typing accuracy I wish all the apps had the rotatable keyboard                     Valuable tool great upgrade CGE1400

As dsx stated in his review in terms of notes we were hoping for more than a carriage return collapsible dropdown bubbles would allow for a more sightly streamlined mindmap and could be opened or closed with a simple tap hopefully I know this tends to be the immediate gratification mindset and I m sure it can be frustrating hearing all these comments on what you did NOT improve on but just know that this update is a VAST IMPROVEMENT and with possibly a few minor adjustment you may be able to head to coast mode for awhile Thanks for a great update much appreciated                     Great update Thank you just one comment ccalb8

To the user who states that there s no way to delete nodes branches this functionality is actually implemented The trash can icon will delete a selected node Alternatively one can cut the node branch and choose not to paste it which will accomplish the same task I downloaded this app and I m so glad I did I was able to impress my boss and co workers with attractive mind maps that I used for problem solving Since my phone is with me all the time now I never forget any bright ideas I get in the middle of the night or while stuck in traffic The export features work flawlessly Three suggestion for future versions 1 Allow the import of mind maps 2 When sending email exporting allow specifying who this email is sent from Perhaps allow a custom line of text to be included in the email 3 Less importantly allow more space for complex mind maps and custom formatting of branches THE NEW UPDATE IS AWESOME THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT APP                     Love this app DOS XP

I ve been looking for something like this a long time It s great Simple to use yet a very powerful tool to organize your ideas It is far superior to writing down ideas in an outline form Use this first and then create an outline from your drawing I would recommend this app to anyone                     This is a Great App Superman Fan since the early 60's

This app hasn t been updated in ages I m starting to question the developer s committment to this application Particularly considering the many outstanding issues Visually the app is stunning but sadly it ends there My biggest gripe is that this app is plagued with being able to handle only very short nodes Any node of significant length distorts and runs well off the edge of the map Honestly this alone makes it unsuitable for all but the simplest of maps Which is a shame because this app would otherwise have potential         I m disappointed Fhoxh

This is a pretty impressive app I read up on a few of these mind mapping apps before I decided on this one It was the priciest but it also came with the best reviews I m not disappointed at all It took a bit to get the hang of moving the bubbles around but once I figured it out it made spending the money on this well worth it A few things I would like to see to make this a perfect app would the option of a passcode icons and the ability to change colors right now it chooses the color for you All in all this is a very easy to use intuitive app for laying out your thoughts visually                 Worth the price MsRanda

This app is worth the 8 I like that it exports out to so many different Mind Mapping Software extentions and PDF Some great features that would be nice is the ability to link project files to other project files Also a true export function would be preferred that you could send in your own e mail or sync to a computer as another user pointed out I would not be comfortable exporting anything that may be confidential but for general brainstorming it works great Had an issue recently where could not send my files to myself due to having a in the project name spent a couple of days corresponding with Tenero on the problem but it sounds like it has been resolved If this app allowed me to export locally to sync or out of my personal e mail I would have given this app 5 for 5 stars but otherwise it is a nice app         Good App Great Technical Support Spider3k

Not only is it the best app I ve used on the App Store its the best mind mapping tool I ve used on any platform Mind mapping is so much more valuable when you can do it on the fly rather than sitting in front of a computer iBlueSky uses the IPhone s touch screen to create a beautiful and easy to use user experience At any point in your mapping you can email the results to yourself or others in simple image formats or other mind map formats so that your ideas are not trapped inside your phone                     Best app I ve ever downloaded ahullgt
