Missing too many foods to be useful I searched for green tea and was given a list of results for beef Waste of 5 99 Worse than trying to use the website less info than the book Search results for gluten free 0 at least the book provided values for gluten free bread Completely disappointing Nowhere near enough values to be able to actually track a normal day s meals No values for beer wine cider many fruits and vegetables many KNOWN anti inflammatory foods many common anti inflammatory supplements etc let s get with the program and make this a free app while the database is cripplingly small Also those 2000 foods is counting something like carrots about 8 times to account for different prep methods so it s probably more like 500 foods As a Celiac with IBS who has to limit roughage very little of what I can eat can be found in this database It s frankly more depressing and discouraging than it is helpful     Useless and frustrating Julesg80

I have mostly read the book and agree with a lot of what she says I do Paleo sporadically so I don t agree with all of it especially the hatred of saturated fats like coconut oil but I m trying to combine the principles of both to my diet I tend to want the fat and nuts of Paleo without the vegetables so this keeps me motivated to eat better even within the Paleo world It s easy to use and there are a lot more foods in the app than the book but there are still quite a few missing                 I like it Conniesue88

Not only I m able to track the inflammation factor in my diet but it tracks my total daily calorie intake and breaks down those calories into protein carbs and fat and tracks so much more There are some food items that s not listed but I was able to create a recipe and then add it to my daily tracker For me this was well worth the purchase                     Use it live it stay well notbaddad

For 5 99 this should be updated way more than it is 1 When you do a search for a food item there should be Tabs for the Alphabet Instead you have to keep scrolling and scrolling Once I add that food to my day I would like to still be in the spot where I was instead it kicks you back to the Beginning if the Alphabet This is where the Tabs would be nice on the side to just pick the first Letter of the food I m trying to look up 2 I know this is for food only however it would be nice to see a look up for Supplements too At least give u the option to see how much of a benefit or not that a supplement would be To give you an idea Example Arctic Cod Liver Oil Softgels Vitamin D3 Softgels Fish Oil Softgels or Flaxseed Oil Softgels etc 3 There should be a Calendar Tab so I can easily look back to a month 6 months or even a year ago right now you have to just use the Arrows at the to to go forward or backwards by the Day only 4 It would be nice to see the option to see the Highest Rated list of items Foods as well as Supplements if you added that tab in order to start buying those items as well as the Lowest Rated list to start avoiding those items Those are just a few ideas that would be extremely helpful and make your ratings go up             Idea is good but needs updating SDWxGirl

Too many foods are not included Every day I run into foods not included Honey included but good anti inflammatory raw honey is not so if you choose honey instead your tracker totals are off Mayonnaise included but not ketchup Only dried fruit is raisins Also if you juice forget it Also your list of foods things you have already recorded for ease of adding to subsequent days works inconsistently I have coffee every day but it does not appear on my foods list so I have to search for it each time Still it s useful for those of us trying to get an idea of your IF intake but your numbers will be a very rough estimate only Misleading when you can t record foods either high or low on the scale         Foods Limited Misleading AlleyDocious

It is great to have an app that helps you to keep track of inflammation causing foods Very important for dealing with a variety of health issues You can input a recipe into this app to see how the recipe performs great feature I would love it if this app also included info on purine count and starch levels to help those who suffer from gout and or Ankylosing Spondylitis or even a separate app for this info I wish it also let you select nightshade sensitivity while it is true that these items are helpful to some they are not for everyone When many health issues cause limits to diets it would be good to add wide variety to meet more individual needs I only spent so much based on a recommendation by a neighbor and i am glad that i did Thanks for this great app hopeful for improvements and additions                     Great app needs a little work SiteArtist
after reading all the previous reviews i decided to give this app at try with a chronic case of eczema i m looking for ways to reduce inflammation pro s easy to use recipe building despite what other users said i found the recipe building fairly straightforward i like that you can select the proportion of ingredients in a variety of ways whole fruit cups teaspoons ounces grams etc you can also select the actual portion eaten once a recipe is available editing is also easy and seems to carry forward into previously recorded entries journal entries i like that you can add items individually or select from recipes you ve built also you can always see a running total of your IF rating cons variety of foods i agree with other users that there could be a wider variety of foods to select from and some of the entries i found confusing for instance many of the meats are listed raw this just doesn t seem practical also there was no sign of yukon gold potatoes i feel they re common enough but there are russets and red potatoes other users mentioned the absence of foods like pizza etc however my remedy was to enter the ingredients of a homemade recipe just to get a ballpark idea a homemade margherita pizza is about 1 440 according to my recipe and calculations the only ingredient i wasn t able to track was yeast about 1 1 4 tsp search function not always helpful but accurate according to the built in listings for instance i looked up mozzarella and misspelled it i tried again and was then offered a suggestion probably due to my iphone s spelling function and came up with results the second time around so sometimes you have to try again overall this app is fairly straight forward to use it can sometimes be frustrating when entries are misspelled and i would agree with most other reviewers that the list of ingredients could be improved upon             easy to use but needs improvement Melanieinthesky

If you are serious about reducing inflammation this is the best app out there I use it to help keep my autistic son on an anti inflammatory diet It has some really good features I like the journal tracking feature You can easily see your IF number for the day along with your calories protein fat and carb intake I also like the recipe feature You can create your own recipes and it calculates everything per serving I like using this to create simple recipes for things we eat often like peanut butter sandwiches so I don t have to record each ingredient separately each time However the list of food items while extensive is rather incomplete Sometimes there is not even a close substitution Also there are some differences from the ratings in the book There is no place to put notes or any cooking instructions in the recipes So I am stuck not being able to enter all ingredients fir some recipes Overall this app is a good start I think it will be great when more items are included             Good start needs more Hdjcieeurbdjckskdirjr

For 599 this should be updated way more than it is 1 When you do a search for a food item there should be Tabs for the Alphabet Instead you have to keep scrolling and scrolling Once I add that food to my day I would like to still be in the spot where I was instead it kicks you back to the Beginning if the Alphabet This is where the Tabs would be nice on the side to just pick the first Letter of the food Im trying to look up 2 I know this is for food only however it would be nice to see a look up for Supplements too At least give u the option to see how much of a benefit or not that a supplement would be To give you an idea Example Arctic Cod Liver Oil Softgels Vitamin D3 Softgels Fish Oil Softgels or Flaxseed Oil Softgels etc 3 There should be a Calendar Tab so I can easily look back to a month 6 months or even a year agoright now you have to just use the Arrows at the to to go forward or backwards by the Day only 4 It would be nice to see the option to see the Highest Rated list of items Foods as well as Supplements if you added that tab in order to start buying those items as well as the Lowest Rated list to start avoiding those items Those are just a few ideas that would be extremely helpful and make your ratings go up           Idea is good but needs updating

Missing too many foods to be useful I searched for green tea and was given a list of results for beef Waste of 599 Worse than trying to use the website less info than the book Search results for gluten free 0 at least the book provided values for gluten free bread Completely disappointing Nowhere near enough values to be able to actually track a normal days meals No values for beer wine cider many fruits and vegetables many KNOWN antiinflammatory foods many common antiinflammatory supplements etc lets get with the program and make this a free app while the database is cripplingly small Also those 2000 foods is counting something like carrots about 8 times to account for different prep methods so its probably more like 500 foods As a Celiac with IBS who has to limit roughage very little of what I can eat can be found in this database Its frankly more depressing and discouraging than it is helpful     Useless and frustrating
This app is good for folks wanting to eatmonitor an antiinflammatory diet I hope over time more foodbeverage choices are added as there are some nobrainer staples in the western diet not included in the food choices within the app              Good could be better

When grocery shopping it would be helpful to originally choose 1 cup of something as my usual portion then just add that item to an alphabetical personal list with the item name and IF Rating only not the portion size unless there is room for it This would become a My Foods list so I can quickly scroll my personal choices to buy Right now Im having to make my list on the computer and email it to myself Thank you           Please add list only
I love this app Unfortunately I have adult onset stills disease and its very important that watch the foods I eat Ever since I started using this app I can honestly say that it has helped me reduce the rashes and joint pain and I have not had any fevers I will admit that it is not to change the way you eat Buy this app makes it easier Thank you so very much for making this app                 Great App
Too many foods are not included Every day I run into foods not included Honey included but good antiinflammatory raw honey is not so if you choose honey instead your tracker totals are off Mayonnaise included but not ketchup Only dried fruit is raisins Also if you juice forget it Also your list of foods things you have already recorded for ease of adding to subsequent days works inconsistently I have coffee every day but it does not appear on my foods list so I have to search for it each time Still its useful for those of us trying to get an idea of your IF intake but your numbers will be a very rough estimate only Misleading when you cant record foods either high or low on the scale        Foods Limited Misleading
I have mostly read the book and agree with a lot of what she says I do Paleo sporadically so I dont agree with all of it especially the hatred of saturated fats like coconut oil but Im trying to combine the principles of both to my diet I tend to want the fat and nuts of Paleo without the vegetables so this keeps me motivated to eat better even within the Paleo world Its easy to use and there are a lot more foods in the app than the book but there are still quite a few missing              I like it
I think its an awesome concept but it needs for food Not all the food from the book are in the app for example salsa I wish the amount scroll down would have more numbers and not jump from 2432 and so on           Great conceptneeds revisions
Not only Im able to track the inflammation factor in my diet but it tracks my total daily calorie intake and breaks down those calories into protein carbs and fat and tracks so much more There are some food items thats not listed but I was able to create a recipe and then add it to my daily tracker For me this was well worth the purchase                 Use it live it stay well
This app has the right idea It just needs a much more complete food list I have even found numbers that dont match the IF book It needs the ability to add foods as well There is a lot of potential here I am looking forward to an update to make it the great app it should be           Good start

I cant imagine doing this in a spreadsheet like Monica Reinagel suggested in the book However I have noticed that some foods listed in the book ie corn chips salsa are not in the app Why are some foods listed in the book missing in the app As an enhancement I would suggest a way to set goals for the IF RatingFatCarbCalories as suggested in the book              Great app for tracking IF foods
This app is pretty helpful if it were somehow merged with myfitnesspal it would be the perfect app I agree with the other reviewers in that there isnt nearly enough foods I also thought the app was too pricey to have this kind of short coming I still recommend it and use it almost daily I also really hope the rating on Serrano chili peppers is accurate because I now eat them daily           Good app

The Tracker is helpful the only thing I see lacking is the food need to be a little more updated having more options Ridings theres a few things Ive been looking for that I cannot find on here But over all the tracker is very helpful its helping me get the IF rate I consume under control and I love it I even loaded the app on my husbands iPad so that he can use it And he has no trouble using it or figuring out it is very simple to use and he loves it Also I would recommend this for anyone trying to eat healthy and trying to get their body system back on track To relieve inflammation and get help with the stresses that we put on our body by eating healthy because everything that is a positive is healthy eating I have also found that I feel better I sleep better I am less stressed and I am more regular since starting this diet And the best part of this diet is you does not require specialty foods these are common foods you get right from your grocery store By keeping track of all the negatives and positives we are learning to eat balanced                 Tracker is helpful
If you are serious about reducing inflammation this is the best app out there I use it to help keep my autistic son on an antiinflammatory diet It has some really good features I like the journal tracking feature You can easily see your IF number for the day along with your calories protein fat and carb intake I also like the recipe feature You can create your own recipes and it calculates everything per serving I like using this to create simple recipes for things we eat often like peanut butter sandwiches so I dont have to record each ingredient separately each time However the list of food itemswhile extensive is rather incomplete Sometimes there is not even a close substitution Also there are some differences from the ratings in the book There is no place to put notes or any cooking instructions in the recipes So I am stuck not being able to enter all ingredients fir some recipes Overall this app is a good start I think it will be great when more items are included           Good start needs more
This is honestly the best software out there for tracking calories protein fat and carbohydrates The IF rating does work We have taken less Motrin on this than ever before The only problem is the lack of matching foods I have to substitute incorrect amounts and types to reach correct calories on food not listed Example have to say wrong kind of muffin because ours isnt listed However the recipe maker is amazing and more than makes up for that              Love it
