This is not a gut air simulator it is made for people that dont know how to play the gut air to just have fun There are reviews saying how it does not represent a guitar fairly That is not what this app is want that Garageband is 5 get that This is a fun app Get this app if you have common sense                 Great fun
I first want to say that I read Robert Fieldings review and I totally agree with all of his comments and suggestions I was really expecting more from this but that is ok it didnt break the bank but it didnt really capture my attention for very long as well The controls are few and far between and with very little to no adjustment it doesnt meet my expectations in the slightest The nav buttons are cheap looking and take away from the overall look and control This needs a major overhaul if you plan to really make something of it Im looking for a simple rock guitar with effects and with drum loops thats recordable imports and exports through your wifi local area network or through iTunes file transfer system preferably Im not going to add any more as this is taking up my time in my search for what Im looking for My suggestion for others is wait wait for the dev to update with some major improvements Sorry and good luck with the app grizzledcamudgen     Im looking for something else
im an instrument developer making a guitarlike app too Im not going to ask for a return but I bought your app as part of a random sample of the stuff that seems to be doing ok on the store I am really saddened by the state of the music section instruments but its not just you everybody except the top instrument makers is making same obvious mistakes let me spell out what you should think about only 17 of the screen is used for actually playing notes and 17 for controls almost entire screen is spent showing some paper taped to an amp This ratio is completely backwards GuitarNeck does this better Almost entire screen should be reserved for playing notes and notes should not be smaller than a finger or you cant actually hit them accurately There isnt enough screen space to waste on stuff other than notes Once you do this right you wont end up with a 1 string guitar with teeny tiny frets Playing a sample when the screen is touched is not sufficient at all Latency is high to do anything musical at all Most of the store suffers from this because most people making apps dont seem to be musicians of any level or wont talk to an actual musician about what they are doing or dont bother trying it out on a musician that is going to say the truth You need to make the sound buffers as small as possible so that latency and jitter are as low as possible Place a microphone on the surface of the ipad and run the microphone and instrument through a mixer panned to opposite sides then look at the recorded stereo waveform in the editor You can measure the peaks from when your finger touched to when the sound came out of the iPad This is the real latency number Every musician will tell you that 8 milliseconds for fingertoear response is the goal The iPad might not be capable of better than 25ms fingertoear which is ok My instrument reached around 30milliseconds A lot of stuff cant get below 100ms because the code isnt fast enough and any higher than that is completely unuseable as an instrument If you dont believe me think of 120 quarter beats per minute and calculate how many milliseconds is in a 16th note Then think that you must be 2 to 4 times more accurate than that to make a 16th rhythm sound right i suspect that you might not be a musician at all because the fretboard is completely backwards lefthanded as if you are putting your hands on a guitar that somebody in front of you is wearing not what you see when you are wearing the guitar if you could actually play multiple strings this would be a real problem i am a lefthanded guitarist but almost every guitarist in the world is righthanded and cannot visualize the fretboard unless the headnut is on the left and the bridge on the right that means notes ascending from left to right i care about this kind of stuff because musicians trying to find instruments designed forandby real musicians are finding it impossible to sort the real instruments from the toys with nice screenshots if there is going to be a thousand instruments like this on the store then theres going to have to be a separate music instruments category for apps that actually try to meet the requirements for real musicians     i will try to be constructive
This app is very easy to use and can make some killer music Its not super full of features or options but for the price its a great deal and lots of fun I highly recommend it                 This App Rocks
Great little time waster Simple to modify speed of drums reverb etc Nice features with different guitar body styles              Fun little game
For 99 cents what can u expect This is a toy and nothing more Have fun           Ok
This should be called Bucketheads Shredfest of Awesomeness                 Fun app from an evil genius
This has got to be the worst guitar App on ITunes You only get one string that makes sound Any person that gives any more than one obviously doesnt play guitar A note to the developer I can see you have no clue a guitar has six strings You should be ashamed of your self for ripping off people It is unfortunate ITunes allows unqualified developers get away with ripping off people You should return people back their money until you come out with a product that is a guitar simulation How many people do you know that plays a one string guitar     One String Guitar
Complete waste of money Feel like an idiot     Terrible
Totally inaccurate notes are choppy and frets are small If you want the real deal get Pocket Guitar     Not worth it
I dont get this app I would have never bought this if I had known it has nothing to do with actually playing guitar     Awful
This will make you stand up and demand an encore Awesome                 Rock
Showed my guy how to play this it brought an instant smile to his face For all wannabe Rock Stars                 Love it
Dont bother     Weak
