I have several music theory apps that display scales This is a good app compared to the others It is the only one that displays the key signature on the staff for a given scale It also tells you both the note names for the scale and where each note is played on the keyboard There is no app that I have found that is perfect I think you need a few apps to cover all the bases What I would suggest adding to this app would be notation on the staff I also like the suggested chords for given scales Thumbs UP                     Very impressive Mortslim

The graphics are blurry an look uprezed And there are none of the bells and whistles that a tool like this would have if it was a labor of love But It s still very useful at least for me I m an untrained musician who learned by ear This app succeeds in the sense that it acts as a good platform for breaking out of my usual patterns and encouraging me to experiment with different scales and chord progressions And it s pretty thorough Do I wish is was better Absolutely Is it overpriced door what it is Probably But until someone makes a better chord progression app for the iPad I m still going to be using it regularly Developer If you care improve it Clean up the graphics any Photoshop geek can do better Add a help section WTF is the circle of fifths and why can t I play chords off it How about suggesting chord progressions Outputing midi files heck it could be the basis of a arpeggiator app Give this some love             Blurry overpriced useful MaticElcecticElectric
