Sadly this new and awful app makes taking SSI courses harder rather than easier It randomly defaults back to the beginning of trainings instead of saving a place does not show progress of material already covered although it claims to Also tends to hand during training content downloads and freeze when loading content In common with the old app there is no way to verify log entries of dives taken with PADI buddies or instructors SSI is the minority not the whole world Yet SSI insists on ignoring this reality The frustrations this causes as well as the worse than before app have actually tempted me leave SSI and recertify elsewhere     Makes training and logging harder not easier MssgMakr

I ve run into the same ending cylinder pressure issue when manually entering dives It lists all my dives as unconfirmed and freezes when I try to scan a buddy we code to confirm I m not even sure that s how I can properly confirm a dive or it requires I always use an SSI site with a qr code It s very silly and makes my log look amateur at best and possibly fraudulent due to phrasing The search for dive sites is spotty at best and manually entering sites does not appear to function properly Overall the app is extremely dependent on a good internet connection which is absurd because of the remote nature of many dive sites They re definitely trying but they re having a fair number of issues     Very buggy and doesn t work great without internet 1234gbb

I m busy working through my dive course and the courseware I have been issued is all through the app It continuously reverts back to the start of each chapter at random making focusing on the information very difficult     Terrible app darrynrow

The dive log portion of this app is what I was most interested in when downloading it to use with my quad dive computer It is very buggy The app kept timing out when downloading dives Then when inputting info in it would not let me enter the correct numbers to my ending cylinder pressure The backspace key went straight to are you sure you want to cancel this dive It asks for email addresses of my dive buddy and if I put nothing in it won t take the entry I typed in no idea and it accepted that This is a very poorly thought out app and clearly needs to be done with divers input I use my quad as a secondary computer and am glad that I don t rely on it for uploading dive data The true data is saved to my computer from my Oceanic Geo 2 Very disappointed in this Wish I could give a better review     Poor usability Jrfnydc

Dive log looks terrible My training area does not show all my certs both waiting and already completed Old app was way better don t know why they changed again This one is crappy ugly and broken     3rd try is not the charm Zeek76

Force me to move from a stable app that s rock solid to this app I ve been building software for over 20 years and have never released a product so buggy as this This app wouldn t even make alpha quality It crashed the first time I logged a dive and won t open since opens and crashes continuously now     Are you kidding me BikingJohn

If you are using this new SSI app which looks cleaner and is easier to navigate than the old one to complete the reading portion of a training course you will not get credit for completing the review quizzes no matter how many times you successfully complete them in the app You will have to redo them on the website to get credit Here are some other issues The app does not maintain your reading progress in training materials across relogin or app restart It will still open a course to where you left off but all pages will be marked as unviewed Some images in training materials are not correctly sized on small screens including all models of iPhone so you cannot see the entire image These images cannot be resized scrolled or popped out into image isolation view There is no workaround Some text headings also contain words that are too long to fit on the screen and get cropped off the right edge Text size is not adjustable Many images in training materials e g the animal identification images in Open Water Diver Section 5 never download at least when viewing the course in Full HD mode The loading spinner and Image Still Loading message spill over and obscure other text Video playback erroneously respects the mute switch on iPhone If your videos have no audio check that your mute switch is off Some training material pages have auto play video which is always bad UX Training materials English Imperial units multiple courses contain numerous spelling grammar and typesetting errors but this is not unique to the app The app does not take advantage of iPhone X s larger screen         Nice UI but don t use for training Tom G Varik

This is the second time SSI has done a major app update and instead of just pushing out a update they release a brand new app I m an SSI instructor and an IT manager and how you handle your digital presence is absurd Your app and website are buggy All your content looks like it was reviewed by 10 year old for grammar and mistakes Your quizzes have multiple contradictions and mistakes And many of your video are sexist I can t wait to start using this app and seeing what you ve broken now     This is not how app updates work regulan
