I know others will disagree but I love having the Onion Who doesnt know that it is satire I personally would check this app just to see the headlines and would look at the onion for a laugh A few days ago it stopped appearing And I miss it and find myself using the app less often Maybe the developer could add an onion onoff button     Bring back the Onion

So there is now no point in using this app Very unfortunate as I used this several times a day Ill keep it a week just to see if they update it otherwise they may as well delete it off the store Also the pictures are now pixelated and very low resolution Update been awhile and I guess they dont care about the app anymore Im now using New York Times app and Im very happy with it I recommend     News stories open in Safari

Ive used your app with great satisfaction for a year now but I was hoping you could bring back AlJazeera headline like the app used to have              Bring back

Still no landscape view in the long overdue update Big changes for iPad but still no effort to make the tiny screen of an iPod or iPhone readable Fivestar selection of articles and onestar design and usability Prior Review Okay But Could Be Better I use this daily to skim the news despite problems refreshing Builtin Web browser is useless because the text is too small to read Should either eliminate it launching Safari for every article or add landscape mode Fortunately there is a button to switch to Safari but since thats always necessary it just adds an extra step Gotta kill the daily article from The Onion It wastes space and discredits Newsdesk I may stop using this after setting up RSS feeds in other readers        Unimproved Update

Great app I would have gladly thrown down a buck or two for this app but it was free Wonderful to throw in photos right there on the side of the headline I love having the onion right there in the major headlines THANK YOU                 At last a simple fast news source

I have been using this app for nearly 3 years I think its awesome but it really needs an update How about iso4 fast app switching Or hi res graphics for the retina display Or maybe landscape mode An iPad app would be nice as well              Updates needed

This is a beautiful fast stable so far application for reading some news headlines from diverse sources For an early release very well done Needs to be expanded more news more categories           excellent start

I havent used it extensively but Im noticing bugs within the first few minutes of using it Pictures dont match headlines pictures are displayed multiple times for the wrong headline and sometimes pictures will dissappear and reload as I scroll        Looks slick but seems buggy

I love the concept and its done pretty well here The colors are really wellchosen but the font on the article summaries is too small rendering blurry text Taking you to an internal browser to view articles is great in concept but obviously they arent formatted for mobile use so you end up with the same zooming and panning youd get in Safari Also I know it says its for skimming news but a more button with further headlines sure would be nice Good start on what could be a great app           Nice but minorly flawed

Its a great app that is sleek and creative with a few differnt features Its updated regularly and it has a nice viewing platform that wont bring up safari New things I hope to see is the abilty to add more providers and maybe be able to change the order that they are in This is an app thats going to stay with you                 Great app with even better potential

The idea is great but when I got it I really really hoping for access to more foreign newspapers At present there seems to be mainly Englishlanguage US news media with the option to add in Norwegian What about some German French Italian Spanish Russian Swedish news sources As it is there are many apps that give you this same variety of news Adding some additional sources of news the really good interface would make this app totally awesome              Would like more variety in news outlets

I panned the previous update This new update fixes most of my complaints and hey landscape is nice bonus The devs got it right on this go around and Im happy to give a solid because of it Awesome update to an awesome app thats been on my homescreen since 2008 the only thirdparty app to do so              Great Update

This news app has no bugs noticed gets news from respectable outlets and moves to the original stories and links easily I have several news readers but this one I think will be a favorite Fast and nice visually Concise and changes top stories often              Pretty darn good

The entertainmet section has had the same article about the show Glee at the top of the page for the past 4 weeks Make it go away The Emmys are over time to move on     Has had the same article for the past 4 weeks

The excellent layout and contents makes the reading experience uncomparable I recommend this one app above anything else           The BEST news app out there

If you are looking to replace your NYT subscription this is not it Its not comprehensive Today it had maybe 10 world articles of which 3 were in the hot news of the day same topic different sources Cant do RSS and cant configure sources Also the photos when refreshing push you to the top which I found annoying Its free but I cant see using it much AP news reader Mobile News better     Not comprehensive

On the iPhone 4 the images and icons are pixelated and look bad Most of the stories will ONLY open in Safari Whats the point of the app if the story wont even open in the app Same issues on the iPad Wont open most stories right in the app It used to be ok on the iPhone now its useless     Worse than before

Nice presentation and link to news services but updates news items very slowly        Just OK

Its not an RSS reader and I like that Just a very clean way to read headlines Fix the slownonloading bug and Id give a higher score           Love it slight bug

As with other news aggregate readers this suffers from the fact that the frontend presents a list of articles and then you are taken to the news sources web site to read the article Unfortunately this doesnt display articles in landscape mode and like other aggregate readers since this is linking to the standard issue web site the text is miniscule and not formatted for the iPhone or any mobile device and thus quite difficult to read on the bustrain which is probably exactly where youd want to quickly go through the days latest events        No landscape mode

I give this app 2 stars I really like the fact that stories open up in its own integrated browser However it is painfully slow to update especially when switching between sections world scitech etc Even when Im connected to wifi it is the app that is slow not the connection It seems that it does not automatically refresh stories immediately upon opening the app and it takes a long time to fetch new stories Im not going to delete it but will eagerly await an update since I am a news junkie I would really like to see more options for news sources but the lag issue simply must be attended to Thanks        Shows promise needs an update

Simple elegant way to hit several important news providers and the top stories they are carrying As the developer says the app is not intended to replace a full news service application but it sure will supplement my buggy NYTimes app and the AP headlines app Very nicely done              Handsome interface interesting news sources NO BUGS

Please ditch The Onion it is a satire publication intended to be read as such In the context of serious headlines it only confuses new readers and could actually cause dangerous misinformation Otherwise your application is nicely designed though Refresh needs to be faster Also please add a last updated statement           One bad apple

It was a good idea but the categories and news sources dont seem to be configurable and some of the news sources eg Financial Times are not accessible to everyone without subscription        Needs updating

It does exactely what it says and saves you some time in searching for news The only complaint that I have is that on some news articles the sites require subscriptions to finish the article Maybe removing articles pulled from those sites would make it more polished for sure              Pretty clean

Green text needs to go I cant seem to find a setting that changes the green text into something that isnt so off putting The logo being green is fine no need to carry it over into the headlines Other than that good app idea           Green text

Not a bad way to quickly skim headlines 4th star to be able to specify news sources and the 5th star for the ability to add RSS feeds           pretty good
