Newsy: Multisource Video News Analysis

Newsy content is top notch 5 stars but the app has become so buggy I have to rate the app at 1 star The implementation of ads is ruining the experience due to slow loading repeat of the same add length of ads and no way to skip     Great content but buggy app

Too long of ads Shorten significantly or maybe a paid version     Too many adsway too many

Great to view on the run interesting articles Love the reporters hate the ads and seems to crash frequently              Hate the ads charge for the app

This use to be my go to for what I wanted to know not so much anymore The constant ads the constant repetition is a pain in my getting the news with the y why        Damned Ads

Newsy is actually the source from which I get the majority of my national and world news I think it is pretty unbiased in its political and even tech areas It is informative and generally presents the news in a brief way while still touching all the major points Theyve added ads lately which I guess you cant fault them too much as they have to make a profit Sometimes though the transition from ad to story can be a little rough but usually it is just fine Also recently it seems they have been moving away from actually seeing their reporters in the story I guess its just a personal preference but I like it when you actually see the reporter at times during the story similar to TV news Otherwise its sort of as if theyre just story readers instead of reporters              I Love Newsy

Too many ads Too many crashes Too much freezing Newsy seems great when its working but that isnt often enough News is a daily consumption for a lot of people And if they are like me they arent interested in troubleshooting an application and its functionality     Glitchy at best

Ive used Newsy almost exclusively for my news for years but the new ads are causing auto play to stop which makes it too hard to use Id rather pay than see ads anyway        Id Rather Pay

Newsy has great content and provides a nice high level overview of what is going on in the news However with their recent addition if video ads even when youre at work trying to read the news scripts you still have to click on the story it defaults to playing the video then you have to click yet again to get to the script There needs to be an option to take you right into the scripts if you cant watch videos due to your environment Not to mention that even when you click on the script it triggers a video ad to play about once out of every 3 stories and its the same ad over and over again           Good Content but Annoying Ads

A 30 second advertisement relative to 30 second video is a mismatch Way too many advertisements I get monetization and Im willing to pay for the premium version of this app but until then you lost me as a consumer     Marsha Marsha Marsha

Great news source but now is not very enjoyable after introducing ads I stopped using it because of this Its very invasive and disruptive A few anchors act very childish instead of being professional when presenting news     Invasive and disruptive ads

I get the ads thingnothing is free for ever But the same stupid ad 4 times in a row What you have one ad revenue source Your software cant rotate them so I can turn down the volume on something different when it plays And because you keep screwing the app up and it keeps stalling and crashing I have to restart the stupid thing and I have to watch the same stupid ad another 4 times in a row I wont buy snickers or famine pads So change something     Bloody ridiculous

Stupid advertisements are EVERYWHERE This app makes you watch the same ad over and over again and even if they were different ads it wouldnt matter because almost every other news video it makes you watch a 30 second advertisement that usually ends up crashing the app and making you REWATCH it when you relaunch the app So tired of advertisements in this appIm deleting this app and will find another where more than half my time spent in the app is watching ads Not worth it at all Dont waste your time     RidiculousAds EVERYWHERE Crashes constantly

I have been using this app for about a month No glitches It has a nice mix of national international and special interest news The newscasters are expressive and do not use the typical newscaster accent tone of voice that has become so ubiquitous across American network news shows I enjoy listening to it Check it out                 Entertaining Works Well

Newsy is great if you want all your news delivered quick with minimal commercials and from a young and fresh group of sharp news anchors I would have to say that in my opinion its stories are aimed at the younger generation xymillenials but I would recommend anyone to try it I enjoy watching it every morning Sad to see some of my favorite anchors move on over the years but its a great free app with good programming                 One of Best New Services Out There

The advertisements make this app really frustratingthe same ad 30 seconds long and If you accidentally hit the web button the ad starts over I loved it for the last few years but now I am on the search for a new news app     Great appuntil the advertising took over

Since the last iOS update I get 30 seconds of video then it freezes and all I get is sound Also you would think a company would have the sense not to ask a customer who recently wrote them complaining to write a review        Glitchy

Well the app works very good But Id prefer to review the content since I think its more important than app functionality in this case So the truth is I like leftbiased news for the cheers and fun But when I want to consume serious news I turn to Newsy How to tell its unbiased When you see all the news and you feel good about some but get angry at others thats your own bias working and you know your news have been delivered unbiased Just accept the ones that make you angry but dont turn to biased news just to feel good Try to learn the truth and thats what Newsy gives you                 Non biased news

Newsy gives different news stories compared to my local news NPR I only use WIFI for this one           So far so good

Videos crash and lock on iPad Sometimes force quitting still plays the video in the background Terrible app use the website on a computer instead Also I notice the news stories are getting less serious and more entertainmentgossip related Quick and easy ratings are just that Long term newsy will start a downturn     Crashes on iPad

For a guy who doesnt have time to pick up a printed newspaper this is great for me This app seems to give pretty much unbiased news I think Have had a few problems running it on an iPad 1st gen with IOS 511 But ok on my iPhone 5C on iOS 8 Keep up the good work              Very impressed
