I bought 2 pairs of these to be able to communicate with my husband to help guide him on the trails cuz I m usually ahead of him on the trails We have yet to get the walkie talkie feature to work The Bluetooth speakers sound great and the Siri function works very well too No issues with making calls listening to music or using Siri but the walkie talkie feature is not functional They need to fix the app so the walkie talkie function works cuz if they fixed that I would give them 5 stars         Walkie talkie doesn t work at all Kwinter5278

Pros Super cool idea When it works it s amazing Cons App not stable Ok so these are really headphones However the app seems to not be too stable I got these my son and I set the up and tested the for skiing They worked wonderful a bit of lag but that with network cell When skiing first the app forget me I had to pull gloves off the re enter email and password Like at start of every day BTW Then when my son transmitted it was so loud and I could not turn it down But it s working until I need to transmit Then the sound does not happen I hold the right ear button again Nothing He gets interrupted music but I never get the record sound so nothing goes through Simple solution kill the app out of background and restart it Like I said Not stable Btw there is also and annoying 1 second lag between the record tone and when it actually starts recording This is s really cool product but the really need to get some crackerjack engineers to re write the app programming             I m on the edge thing1b4

Like the other folks here I rarely submit reviews but after investing 300 in two of the Chips 2 0 units I need more feedback from ODT s customer service than well they worked great for me The speakers in and of themselves are good I find the music quality to be great The issue is I spent 100 more for the walkie talkie function which is tied thru this app and it simply doesn t work properly ODT knows the issue and they re trying to act like they ve got it fixed but it s not Even in getting out your cell phone and using the text in app feature the results are mixed This will be my second ski trip this season without use of the walkie talkie function thru this poorly functioning app Please address this ODT     Dismal App Performance General Denial on the part of ODT Augal479

My freind and i just cannot get the walkie talkie app to work It appears as though we are in a chat together and i think we got it to work breifly but still wasnt working very good Now we cannot get it to work at all We are not seeing messages from each other the recorder works intermitenly overall just not happy at all with the apps performace The speakers sound good though     so far not so good jcdiggity

The CHIPS are great for music and running But man I bought 3 new pairs to share with friends because of the Walkie Talkie Feature and must share the sentiment of everyone here it does not work At all You ll lose hours trying to make it work You can send and receive IMS messages but what s the point You have that already There is supposed to be a function where incoming audio messages are immediately played that s the point of it But that has worked for 2 of the 80 messages we tested     What a bummer wallachlegal

The Walkie Talkie Feature actually does work despite all comments to the contrary That being stated the design and functionality of the app is horrendous and easily understandable why people state it doesn t work I ll assume the problem it is unknown to the developer please read this and fix I ll explain how it currently works on my iPhone 6s running iOS 10 the best I can so users can actually use the app hopefully the app will be made more issue friendly in the future 1 open app and turn on chips Bluetooth headphones 2 connect to chips after clicking on top left menu screen you can name chips ABC Helmet or whatever you want 3 Create profile on same menu screen 4 go to Yowie Contacts on same menu screen and look for friends that have already created profiles The main flaw his here even if you know the profile name of your friend you cannot type it into the search bar it will not work you must scroll down until you see your friends name Once you find it and scrolling may take a while click and add your friend 5 The go to My Chats in the same menu screen Click the on the top right and add your friend s to a chat 6 open a chat with your friend s 7 make sure that once you have the chat open you click on the on the top right and then click on options Mute Alerts must be OFF Auto Play must be ON App Closed Mode must be on It should work Somebody should pay me for this review App was not ready for release and has clearly frustrated nearly every user We paid a lot of money for the Chips headphones for the Walkie Talkie feature that only works with this flawed app Fix it     Horribly functioning App Jsapa

I have never written a review before but was compelled to chime in The outdoor tech chips have ok sound Frankly my Skullcandy inkd wireless headphones I use at the gym have better sound They were 50 I was so excited to get these for my new helmet setup Needless to say Walkie really does not work Will receive messages on my phone but rarely do they come through to my chips If they do come through it is choppy and or inaudible App crashes Chips seem to get confused between phone music and walkie Sometimes it will stop music as if I am about to receive a message and then nothing happens When I try to use the walkie sometimes it tries to mute the call that I am not in I hope they can fix all these problems If they do I would be very happy with these products Right now my old helmet bern has a better audio setup liner This thought both disappoints and confuses me I will change this review if all bugs are fixed     None of the thrills Jcrobot
