Hi this software does do what it says it does BUT if you run it on outlook it will ruin your ability to categorize items easily I contacted the developer and they tried to help but it was still messed up This is what happened to me at least I ran it it worked it also created an outlook file which I was not sure of so I cliked on it opened it and it opened in Outlook and set up a new primary email account I was not able to delete this one even tho I had imported or had access to my previous account identity I tried a bunch of stuff to no avail I now have to enter categories by hand and they dont transfer from emails to calendar items There were a few other things that were problematic for me and I have to enter them by hand now as well It does do what it says but just dont click on the outlook file it creates I know that there are not many programs that do this at this price         Totally messed up my outlook 2011 jules catbird

I still run Entourage 2011 which I like but it is starting to get cliches running on my new iMac El Capitan 10 11 5 I really hate all the newer email programs I guess Outlook 2016 is the closest to Entourage But I thought I would give Apple Mail a try which I have rejected in the past just because it is poorly designed So I shifted my Entourage emails to Outlook to make the export easier as I could not find a direct method from Entourage to do it Then Exported Outlook to an OLM file Then I bought this OLM file Converter App I have a huge 70K email file from years of past emails This OLM coverter took 4 days to export my folder I get it its big When it was finished I checked in my Documents and saw a new txt file but I did not see the new Mail folder so I got a little confused as the Apple Mail importer would not import a txt file Anyways yes I am a bit of an E Tard I did email support and they got back to me the next day and helped me fix the issue I IM d with Nancy and she got me all fixed up So I would give this 5 stars but I think they need to have better directions for E Tards like me So I gave it 4 stars I still don t know if I will use Apple Mail it is kind of an Abomination and is difficult to use and does not flow well Maybe I will try Thunderbird Thanks Moe                 Importing Outlook into Apple Mail Moeguzzi

This is a great little application that did the job for me and everything came through perfectly I had an OLM file with over 34 000 emails in it from Outlook 2011 which I needed to migrate to Apple Mail After conversion to mbox format all the messages arrived in Apple Mail including attached files with the folder structure preserved I also had the app convert all the Outlook contacts to individual VCF files since I was merging multiple contact lists This also worked flawlessly The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that when I first started the conversion process it ran extremely slowly It apparently tries to look up linked files from the internet during the conversion Without stopping the conversion process I simply turned off the wifi connection and the speed immediately improved by a factor of about 50 100x I did not try the calendar conversion nor did I try to contact the company for support as there was no need                 A Tip to Speed Things Up Abe of Lincoln

This application was useless I followed the instructions carefully a couple of times but could never get the conversion to complete I emailed the support listed but several days later still have had no reply Don t use this There must be apps that actually work A waste of time and money     OLM File Converter Pop MacLure

I m writing this review in part because this is a great app and in part because I wanted to save anyone from the hours of research I had to do to resolve issues with their Outlook for Mac 2011 Coincidence or not after installing the latest update to MS Office 2011 when clicking on Outlook the starter screen would appear ever so briefly followed by the Outlook menu bar at the top of the screen but no Outlook Desktop and no files I use Outlook for my business so this was no bueno I went on the web and began to see that this Outlook issue was common but successful resolution of the problem was uncommon I followed several of the recommended solutions and actually was able to rebuild my data file and get my Outlook data file running again ever so briefly before the same issues began repeating themselves It really doesn t matter if you re dealing with a problematic Outlook data file or just want to make the conversion from Outlook to Apple Mail Calendar and Contacts You MUST have an OLM file exported from Outlook to use OLM File Converter During the time I had Outlook running I exported my Outlook data to an OLM file Here s the steps I took to make the successful transition 1 In Outlook for Mac went to File Export and exported my e mail calendar and contact files to an OLM file 2 Setup my e mail account in Apple Mail By this I mean the e mail address information for my e mail address that I had formerly been using in Outlook 3 Dowloaded this app OLM File Converter from the App Store 4 Created a new folder on my desktop and called it OLM Conversion 5 Started up this app and browsed to the location of my saved OLM file 6 Pressed Convert button and elected to save the converted files to the folder I had created in step 4 For the record I had about 15 000 saved e mails and it took a little over an hour to perform the conversion on a MacBook Pro 7 Opened Calendar and imported the calendar file from the OLM Conversion Folder Success 8 Opened Contacts and imported the contacts file from the OLM Conversion Folder Success 9 Opened Apple Mail and imported the Mbox file from the OLM Conversion Folder Success Apple Mail created a folder called Import in the On My Mac section of mail and nested the e mail folders as they had been in Outlook Overall an excellent experience OLM Converter took a huge quantity of files and in a fairly short amount of time got me functioning again                     Saved me big time Rick Z in SD

I ve been wanting to get off of Outlook for a while and saw this app It worked extremely well with one Exception A lot of my email I have 8 years worth with over a hundred sub folders and almost 70K email messages is digitally signed Any email that had a digitial signing certificate attached would not convert So if you don t have any digitially signed emails then this is your app otherwise you are stuck with dragging folders to your desktop which will automatically create an mbox folder that can then be imported             Does what it says ChipGillespie

The short review If you have to convert OLM files I highly recommend this application Buy it The long story if you are interested iOS8 with SWYPE Keyboards Fingerprint ID Apple Pay iCloud Sync is simply irresistible To simplify and sync my world I decided to go back to the 20th century dump Microsoft Outlook off my Macs toss my Andriod phone and go back to the pitiful desperately in need of a do over Apple MAIL iCAL and CONTACTS apps that sent me to Microsoft Outlook in the first place I had 4 POP email accounts from different domains and an exchange account for work running in my Outlook Once I decided to switch I spent a a considerable amount of time reacquainting myself with Apple s apps and most of the time went to researching how to transfer the files over WHAT A NIGHTMARE I found out since I was now using Mavericks I could no longer sync my contacts to Contacts AND of course Outlook s export of OLM files can not be imported into the Apple apps All I could do was export the OLM file from Outlook with 5248 contacts all the mailboxes which after purging the garbage had about 78 000 items in them and my mission critical calendar Then I sat there scratching my head wondering what file format Apple s apps would import and how to convert to those file types I even typed import or supported file types or file location right into the Apple application s help and then watched the rainbow wheel spin forever without an answer Remember the old days when Help opened an actual owner s manual So how to get my data into the MAIL iCAL and CONTACTS apps Naturally I turned to the App Store and somehow found this amazing gem of a product BTW right at the top of this app description are the file types you need to do this import I was hesitant to buy it because it had only one review and the developer has no website that I could find which I thought was required for the app store But it was on sale and I was desperate Folks I feel like I won the lottery This app is a fantastic find It does not need instructions because it is so intuitive It is reasonably fast has good reporting and as far as I can tell it worked flawlessly I monitored the memory usage because sometimes inexpensive apps that do things like this have memory leaks which cause issues hang ups crashes This app ran clean fast and never grabbed more than an extra 20 25 Mb of memory over it s initial load If you start another app or some other process while its running this app seems to stop for a bit but have faith it starts rolling again fairly quickly Kudos to Kavita Rani Mohanta for an excellent app that solves a real problem and saves an enormous amount of time I wish you had a website I d like you to build some apps for me                     This is worth every nickel you pay for it John1:17
