Oxygen Audio Car Radio 1

The charging feature stop working could you please fix this The spoke person said it would charge while in use My business is on the road I need to use multiple features on the iPhone I cant use my phone if its dead Can you stand by your product and be responsible and find a fix for this major failing issue I cant even setup an outside power source because its plugged in Please respond with a solution     A little assistance please

Needs improvements still When you get a call you have to touch your screen to answer when you do this the iPhone automatically directs the call to the phone instead of Bluetooth Thats just how the iPhone works with any Bluetooth           Ok

It is simple enough but the font needs to be bigger so it is easy to read when driving Also the radio runner does not work fort me Left and right arrows would be better I think Thanks           Ocar

Purchased the O Car radio today The apps 2 required fired up right away After getting used to the functions I was very pleased with the overall package A few thoughts for improvement 1 I really wish that the two apps were combined into one You should be able to select a station and adjust treble bass etc with the same ease as you would with analog controls 2 Your music library should be available in the newly combined app 3 You shouldnt have to find the stereo OFF button in one of the apps to play from your library 4 When you start your car it should remember the last audio input you were using and immediately bring it back up I can see where it would get old to redo your choice of music radio etc each time you stop your car for gas store mail etc 5 Bigger type buttons etc Were driving I have to look down to see my phone Simple clean big interface would be so awesome Overall I love the idea of the O Car and the idea that I can bring my music personal collection and AM FM etc my phone my navigation my email my photos and the list goes on with me in a continuous fashion I just wish I didnt have to reset everything interruption because I stopped to get gas or mail whatever hint hint Looking forward to the next update on the combined apps and looking forward to writing a new happy review              Good with a push of greatness needed

With such a great product in the OCar head unit I would have expected a much better application to control it Issues I would love to see fixed The radio continues to play even if the app is not open multipletask Apps such as MotionX GPS would play through like they do with iTunes and TuneIn I agree with everyone that the tuner app is too slow I suggest consulting an app designer to help make the applications as amazing and the OCar I love it        Love the OCar Unit but hate the apps

App does not save radio stations I have to redo stations everything I connect Also app does not shut down when I kill it from iOS I have to goto setting to turn off Please fix     Not happy

I love having it in my car but the app is crap           not good apps but good system

I am an industry dealer so I have lots of electronics experience and am going to write a detailed review here The unit overall is rather revolutionary as you can do away with car stereos nav systems separate iPhone adaptors and plugs even radar detectors and auto gauges as these days you can get all these as apps You can monitor your engine have radar alerts use navigation and listen to pandora all at once using your phone instead of some overpriced and much more limited car stereo The fact that you can turn this unit landscape mode and it pulls out and angles is HUGE Youd think it would be a big deal to have it extend the phone a few inches out of the dash or to angle it a few degrees but it is Makes the phone easier to see and operate The fact that the wires are all gone out of my car is terrific Now here are the flaws 1 Bluetooth is almost useless The sound quality is just poor No matter what I did with the included microphone It needs to be better It also doesnt always automatically sync so you might have to go through the phone menu and manually connect Too much of a PITA for a poor result so I dont even use it I use the phones builtin speakerphone and its clearer for others to hear me This needs work 2 The radio app is extremely slow to tune You do it by swiping your finger Swipe 4 times and it goes from 1001 to 1007 on FM Its useless Not a big deal because I use the presets or a radio app on my phone The internal tuner is nice because if you dont have your phone the radio still works but just on the last station you left it on Reception is OK Not great The tuner dial needs fixing The RDS data unfortunately shows up at the top of the app as well as the preset button This is a flaw Half the time you look at the buttons its displaying some artist name or data instead of the preset number Unless and until you memorize what preset is what youll be staring at buttons that say lady gaga instead of 1067 Leave the RDS data up top and let the preset buttons remain constant 3 the off button is on the second page of the app Unless you shut the internal tuner off no other app can send audio In other words your navigation system is silent For this reason I use radio apps like iHeart radio As they are using the phone and not the ocars internal terrestrial tuner they will be overridden by your nav radar detector or another audio app you open The Ocars internal tuner is sort of redundant but you use no data feed so its not chewing into your phones data plan The problem is that you should be able to quickly turn the internal ocar tuner on or off This really needs a hard button on the radio If it has to be on the radio app dont make me go to a second page just to shut it off 4 At night it is difficult to insert your phone if you cant see A small light around the phone connector would really help me not have to turn on the dome light The volume knob has it so should the connector 5 The audio adjustments for bass treble etc are also very slow like the radio app tuner Speed these up please Fortunately this is a set and forget item so not a huge negative right now 6 This is more a hardware issue but the mounting system on the unit with a sleeve and tabs is horrible I drilled the sides of my radio chassis to get screws to fit in to secure the radio I used to be a car stereo installer is never recommend this to others Oxygen are you listening Put some screw and bolt holes on the chassis sides to help an installer out That sleeve wont work in many cars 7 The videoout is a nice feature but why do you make the user choose between the radio display or external display It would be nice to have both on simultaneously Imagine this unit up front with two monitors in the rear for kids Now you have to choose one or the other OK so Im being critical and these are all legitimate issues but overall I am still giving this unit 4 out of 5 stars Theres nothing else out there like it Great design that just needs a few things fixed Please dont let my complaints deter anyone from buying one Id still be upset if I had to part with it I love the unit overall and strongly recommend it Hopefully someone from oxygen will read this before they introduce the Odock and fix the flaws              Awesome unit with flaws

This app could never play in the background and now it turns off when the screen saver kicks on making the radio and app completely useless Really disappointed in this app but there is no other option so all I can do is complain here and hope for the best     Nice radio crappy app

Make it a single app to switch between radio and audio out make the UI better more stable could make an ok product an awesome product           If only the app was great

Im not usually one to leave only negative feedback on a product but this last release seemed to exchange functionality for poor performance I dont like that when the screen locks now the radio turns off Im still waiting for a better looking interface as well Comeon Oxygen Audio People have spent as much as 300 for just the head unit not to mention the cost of an install The least you can do is hire a pro to develop a decent app Get on it     Disappointed

I loved this unit till the dreaded charging is not supported business started showing up this has to be a software issue as it used to work please fix soon     stopped charging

Neat way to control specialized hardware but choosing new stations is a pain Flicking to a new band is slow as frozen molasses rolling uphill in Antarctica           Does the job

Overall this unit seems like a good product I read other reviews and agree with all the positive and negative comments the only thing I have to add is there is no way to scan or seek radio stations Weak product that has the potential to be great with better apps        Bummer

I recently was offered this radio from my distributor At first I was excited Cone on a radio entirely dedicated to your iPhone Im sold Front rear and sub preouts Bluetooth apps for radio and sound adjustment Its not top of the line by any means It sticks out of dash kits at least twice as far as other din radios the harness is the same cheap quality of other brandswhich will remain unnamed but a great piece for my showroom Day 1 works great After being on display for a couple hours I have a few customers interested in it Day 2 the apps open and immediately close only allowing iPod pandora nav etc operation Day 3 The unit will be getting removed and sent back     No thank you

Worked great for 2 days then I got a message saying this program was not optimized for this iPhone Wrote support and received a reply saying they know of the issue and its not a hardware issue and they are working on an update Hope it comes soon because the radio is non functioning with the problem Love the radio just want to actually use it        Issues

I would give this 45 stars if it was possible Everything about it great except a few things Lets start with the good My calls are very clear and the music that comes in through my speakers stops when someone calls I get all my local radio stations and save them on my presets It does take a little while to scroll the stations though The only problems I find are that I have to reset it every now and then to get the charge to work Also the videos do not come through when hooked up to the radio which I guess is a good thing Overall I love my o car stereo and would highly recommend it              Love the o car stereo

This app is TERRIBLY designed ugly and amateur I had wanted to and been ready to purchase an OCar stereo until I saw the app no way Make something competent please All caps Off the shelf buttons Colors Please     Not buying OCar now
