Haven t even had my keyboard for a year and now the app developer is taking their time updating the app for iOS 11 please update like yesterday thank you from a frustrated keyboard player     Need an update people Leash41

The app is no longer available for the iPad at all You can download it if you have IOS 10 but when you start it there is a warning message that it needs to be updated Plug it in using handy lighting camera adaptor and it won t control the keyboard anymore Yamaha let this slide     App no longer works Bangs Family

Fantastic concept first of all Yamaha leading the pack as usual when it comes to interfaces That said this app has a very weird bug If you adjust the tuning away from A 440 you can never get back to 440 Whether using the slider or the arrows the value jumps back and forth from 439 9 to 440 1 Of course the best solution would be a button that resets to 440 but failing that the app has to provide SOME way to get back to 440 manually Hope the engineers read these reviews Will update review if fixed                 Great app with a weird bug bluetoucan

I m pushing the use of the excellent p255 beyond it s pro sumer use by using it in a pro setting The app is really the only way to unlock the piano s features Yamaha did a great job with the app so much that I bought an iPad mini just to control the P255 as well as synth apps The problem is I was using an iphone to test the waters and created a ton of custom presets I then wanted to transfer those to the iPad and back up my data as well no joy I spoke to Yamaha s wonderful customer support who were absolutely stellar and uber helpful but they apologetically admitted it can t currently be done This is a huge FAIL by the app developer that users can t back up nor transfer their custom made data I looked at some 3rd party apps that allow root access to the app s folders E G I EXPLORER and they stated the following Only the developer of an iOS app can enable iTunes File Sharing so we encourage you to contact the developer of any iOS apps that you want to be able to access and ask them to release an update to enable file sharing It s extremely easy for them to do Yamaha namely the app coders should at least offer file sharing as a short fix and at best add a backup restore and transfer function Pretty please                 Works great but Yamaha needs to add file sharing PLEASE Obxa

Highly useful app for the absolutely fantastic Yamaha P 255 digital piano It was easily downloaded to my iPhone but would not download directly to my iPad However I was able to use the iPad to retrieve a copy from the cloud where my iPhone automatically put one after install                     To load This App Onto iPad Piano Newbi

I love using this app with my P 255 It s a must for quick customizing of settings and using the rhythm track function Yamaha did well with the implementation of this app and the integration with the P 255 is superb                     Great companion to the P 255 Rhodie73

I do like the app since I can hear the different instruments when playing their demo songs However it is strange that I can play the demo songs just fine on my iPhone 5 and my iPad Mini but it does not play anything when I press the demo songs with my iPad Air I checked the app settings on my iPad Air and they match the ones on my iPhone and iPad Mini I guess I will have to use either the iPhone or the iPad Mini when I am able to purchase the Yamaha P255 some time in a few months I think the iPad Mini would be better fit since it has a smaller footprint than the Air I do hope Yamaha will try to improve the app with more features and bug fixes             Cannot get it to work with my iPad Air MacAir47
