Been using this app for quite awhile and have been very happy with it I just upgraded to this latest version and having some trouble SO FAR it seems that SOME of my RDP connections I usually have at least 3 going at any time get dropped after just a few minutes and I need to reconnect Never had this problem before this but I can see myself moving to another app if this isn t resolved soon Or maybe I can downgrade     Used to work great now connections are lost after a few minutes Grodyzo

I don t typically add remarks regarding software releases but this edition of Parallels Client is very very bad and I m surprised it was released The app has serious problems adjusting video on multi monitor configurations and crashes almost as soon as it is launched I rolled back to the prior version to recover I m on macOS Sierra and the older version of the app runs just fine I suppose if you only use this release on a single monitor it might perform better That could account for the 36 5 star ratings It would be nice to have the ability to skip an update and not be hounded by reminders every morning I would give this release a zero rating but since that isn t available it gets a 1 Please fix this I rely on the app to do my job     Major problems with this release kpatt57

Suffers from a variety of minor annoyances covering the entirety of a desktop without using OS X s full screen mode grabbing back focus when switching desktops auto opening recent random sessions upon app launch without being told to non Retina icons but it s a working decently fast RDP app Heavy users will definitely want to consider trading up to a more refined and expensive app for everyone else remind yourself how much you paid for it adjust your expectations accordingly and 2X RDP will meet them                 Annoying bugs but gets the job done ZZninepluralZalpha

The application connects to the server Oracle Virtual Box on Ubuntu shows the screen allows mouse interaction But as soon as I press any key on the keyboard I get RDP session was disconnected     Disconnect on key press plroskin

I have only used this program for a little bit today but it seems much much faster than the Microsoft RDP client I usually just remote into my desktop in my house and even that is slow using the Microsoft client I didn t think it would make a difference but 2X RDP definitely is much faster It feels almost like I was sitting in front of the host computer now                     Really fast daageep

Try as I might I could not get Microsoft Remote Desktop to work with my employer s VPN This remote desktop program isn t fancy but it works and it s pretty seamless as long as I have a good connection                     Does what it s supposed to do Kekim

I downloaded this thinking it could solve issues with RDP and multiple monitors Despite what I had read from others it did not solve this issue for me The remote screen image was mis aligned only spanned one monitor and could not be moved which prevented me from even accessing the start menu in Windows 7 Also how hard can it be to allow the app to import connection files from Microsoft RDP This was a non starter for me Glad I did not have to pay anything for this app         Quirky and Lacks Interoperability michaelfrankel

I have used the 2X app for my business for the last 2 years and must say it has been quite good and stable I had the occasional issues but most of those were related to my bad wireless connectivity With this recent update I am a bit worried about 2X I Recently updated this app on my non Retina display Macbook Pro I had read the other review about it not causing issues but decided anyways To my relief I did not encounter the issues that other reported Thinking that all was good I went ahead and updated my newer Macbook Pro WITH Retina display and everything has slowed to a glacial crawl I m not sure what happened in this version of the 2X app but you need to fix it ASAP as I now have a completely unusable Macbook Pro Retina If you have a Mac with a Retina display DO NOT UPDATE it will break your ability to use the app Such an obvious flaw should have been picked up by this company before allowing us to get it         Doesn t Work On My Retina Display LarryLongArms

I was using 2x to connect my MacBook pro retina display with a cloud based EHR electronic health record which worked fine until this last update Now it is painfully slow and I can no longer use 2x with the current version Please fix this problem to allow us in the health profession to continue doing their job     Doesn t work with Mac OS X 10 9 3 Time_lock

I use the payware version this app to remotely administer two VMware virtual data centers which means connecting to Windows Server 2012 over a VPN My work is often mobile which means I may be connecting from my home office with fast wired networking and reliable VPN or from a coffee shop or hotel with mediocre wifi The 2X client works reliably for me and has provided better performance than Microsoft s own remote desktop client for Mac How much better depends on circumstances and on how you ve set your session preferences of course I wouldn t try running 3D games remotely with this or any other RDP client but for VDI infrastructure and typical office productivity apps or for the kind of sysadmin work I do if you ve got decent bandwidth this client is a good choice I haven t tried the 2X App Server so I can t review that What I have tried is connecting to remote Linux desktops using the RDP protocol You just install something like xrdp daemon on Linux it s available with most popular Linux distributions and very easy to configure 2X works just fine in that environment and I ve found it to be more responsive than either remote X11 or VNC protocols Most Linux sysadmin work is done with SSH but if you need a GUI for some reason this is a good alternative Several weeks ago I encountered a minor bug in 2X and reported it to tech support I received a response a few days later from a real person and we exchanged a couple of emails back and forth They were in the process of working with me to isolate the cause of the problem when an update to the software fixed the issue entirely and I was able to close the tech support incident Apparently I wasn t the only one to report it and the developers had already been working on it The bottom line here is that this company pays attention to user feedback and they fix bugs That s all I can ask of a software provider There are perhaps a couple of things I might change in the user interface but UI design is by definition subjective Everything works fine just a couple of the connection settings fields are labeled in a way that I found quirky Once you understand what the field actually does using it is quite easy In other words experiment with the settings a bit as you familiarize yourself with this app This app isn t glamorous but it works well is reasonably priced and is well supported by its provider Recommended                     Solid and reliable RDP client responsive tech support Syscrusher1709

I was running Microsoft s RDP v2 x Then I upgraded to Microsoft s RDP 8 x and it was slower and did not open in Full Screen mode unless you used Spaces I ve been running 2X RDP on my iPad and had hoped for a Mac version Upon searching the Mac store I found it downloaded and installed It is FAST Connected to my remote server right away Easy to use and configure It is replacing all my RDP applications Did I mention it was FAST                     It s great AND FASSSST Ekestler

Generally like it much much better and less buggy than the one Microsoft provides in Windows and sells for the Mac Latest update improved many things but broke one Before if you needed to save the connection credentials so that you automatically log into the remote server you set it up in the Connection Properties If you didn t check auto login it didn t try After this latest update once you enter your credentials during login the client saves that info and auto logs you in the next time EVEN IF YOU DIDN T SELECT THAT OPTION Real pain if you have more than one login you use to a remote system say admin and personal Before this I would have given it 4 to 5 starts this bug causes me to downgrade it Still recommend it over anything else I ve used Hope it gets fixed SOON Ben             Better than MS BSevierSanDiego

There are things I like about it Manages multiple connections Crashes less than the Microsoft product There are things I don t like Apple C V X does not work so you are using control keys Control Arrow actually commands the Mac side It s ok over all but if they could fix the issues mentioned above I d use it exclusively for RDP and bump my rating to 5 star             It s OK Virtualadrian

After updating to the newest version almost everyone has been having constant problems especially with RDP connections If you don t get this fixed soon people will be forced to look for another solution and stop using your software     The new version is not ready to be released jetskijumper

Maybe not as many features as some other RDP clients but as a streamlined RDP it is lightning fast and vibrant visually The font enhancement feature blows other RDP clients such as the over hyped over priced Jump Desktop and the lackluster MS RDP for Mac away visually If you just need fast clean RDP over LAN this is your man Maybe even for other uses My setup I m using RDP on OSX 10 6 8 to connect to Windows 7 and Windows XP virtual machines on a LAN                     Best straight ahead RDP over LAN Matthew618

I like the sidebar function of CORD and being able to manage all the connections in a single window Having only the option of opening RDP sessions without consodlidating all connections in a single window and a side menu to manage all your connections is a show breaker for me 2X is good having the sidebar function like CORD and single window consolidation for all connections would put it so much closer to GREAT Hello anyone listening             It s OK but could be better audiorage

Never a big fan of Win RDC for Mac I have been using Cord for a year or two Not a bad application although it is rarely updated and has a few annoying glitches Stumbled upon 2x and decided to give it a try Fabulous Much faster than Cord Modern UI None of the annoying glitches I noted with Cord I connect to a Win 08 terminal server no probs Highly recommended                     Love it Rick729

There s no way to duplicate a connection or to change default settings so if you want to connect to sessions with anything other than the program defaults you have to change them on each one individually That gets tedious when you have dozens of RDP connections to manage Otherwise it s way faster than CoRD and the official Mac RDP client from Microsoft and a lot less buggy so far                 Faster and better than CoRD ChuckieMac
