look great on my retina display it s really annoying when app don t update to make it look good on my high resolution sreen So my photos looks amazing on the screen Also the histogram is huge plus it really let s you finetune your photos if you know how to use it if not look online and learn it s great                     great effects for photos ShielaBabala

Great app my favorite thing is that it has tons and tons of filters I don t even know how many And you can mix the filters with the textures that they let you use Add some frames at the end and your photos can look great with very little work                     love it EIGeorgeLee

bought the later version was working great got the update cool new filters IF ONLY I COULD SEE THEM nothing loads on filter preview bar on the left so im randomly clicking black boxes so i can see the filter effect on the photo quitting the app doesn t work i have to force quit almost every time NOT COOL please fix it was so awesome             got bugs _osmosisjones

Bought this today the program it self is a great idea but it always freezes and then I can not close it I too have had to shut my computer down 4 times in order to get it off the screen Then an error message would show up if there weren t these problems then I would have given it 5 stars         Keeps closing dblr07

sometimes when i close the application it takes forever to just close it says shutting down and does nothing i have to force quit it aswell when i click reset all the effects dissapear and just show empty boxes please fix it             Problems JoeyE65

i just bought this last night and when i opened it nothing would work I couldnt even exit out or quit the application i had to shut down my computer with the power button i restarted my computer the next day hoping that it would work now and the same thing happened Either its my computer or your program has some glitches I think i deserve my money back if its not going to work     its not working Broooog

Had no problems prior to the new updates It was working wonderfully After updating the program with last update though it does not work properly It begins with no difficulty Then when changing between the different functions all of the presets do not show up Just blue screens on the left side of the panel You can actually click on the screens and it will change to whaterever the preset was but the presets themselves are not visable Also when closing the program it freezes and in order to close the program you have to force quit and restart your system Please fix in your next update Thanks                 Malfunctions Gregory Spradlin

While the types of vignettes are great as soon as you apply one it darkens the entire image even when other effects are not applied This makes the vignettes unusable on a photo you don t want retouched in any other way         Vignettes Cause Image Color Distoration kpojeta

I absolutely love using this software and I haven t had any problems with it at all The only part that people might find annoying is that you can really only do effects on here There isn t an option for cropping or resizing or anything like that However if you use it with other photo editing programs iPhoto Image Tricks etc it can be a really cool app to have                 Great When combined with other software SMoon712

I m a casual photographer who wanted a simple app for tweaking my photos up before I sent them to my friends I didn t need photo editing on the scale of even Photoshop Elements just something to give the image an aesthetic bump before I release it into the network On that score Photo Effects Studio is a fantastic little app There s a truly nice selection of photo filters to visually take my pictures up a notch Remember once upon a time when people had to spend years learning darkroom techniques to do this sort of thing Yeah most people don t anymore either But as a one stop small scale photo tweaking app it desperately needs a crop tool As it stands I have to take my images into Pixelmator to frame them properly then out into PES A crop tool is such a basic part of photo editng I m genuinely shocked this doesn t have one Even my iphone photo edit apps have a crop tool Add a crop tool and a few more photo filter presets and this would be a five star app And let s face it four stars ain t too shabby either At the 9 99 price point it s worth the purchase                 Desperately needs a CROP tool etrueheart

I was getting quite fond of this app until I tried to open a png file and the app hung up and then crashed Now when I try to open it the thing flashes briefly on screen and then crashes I trashed and then re installed and the same problem persists There is no apparent support for this App Clicking on the support link takes you to the company website which has no mention of this product As it is it is useless     Good till it went into permanent crash mode Dan da new Mac Fan

On seeing some negative comments i was quite skeptical but decided to spend the 20 I was pleased with this Though i would definitely agree that there are some filters that makes no sense and wouldnt be used anyway there are some that simply blew my mind off I would still say this would be a fantastic app if it were a 10 less neverthless it gave me what i wanted some variation from my usual The usage of filters depends on your mood and style of shots I was able to use close to 12 filters and they did some subtle magic to my pics On the borders i wouldnt use more than a 3 though those 3 again made a big difference Add to it you can adjust your colors contrast and other stuff which just helps if not more Refund Reduce the 10 remove the unnecessary filters that are least used or atleast replace it with something good like Camera Bag or Hipstamatic style you ve got some very good editing software Worthy of having one if you click a Lot of pics Try it                 Pretty Good Sreekrishnan

In principle it looks like it has many effects and tweeks you can do to a picture but the reality is that even thou there are many things you can apply they dont allow much customization Also the frames are very bad many of them i would probably would never use as they look cheesee and imposed on the image I was looking for an app that would compliment Photoshop and Lightroom but sorry to say didnt find it here To few usable effects viginettes frames         Not what i was expecting AqAr

I bought this because I have several photo effects apps on my iPad2 and wanted something similar on my desktop that was quicker than PhotoShop CS5 While this has some decent effects it also has alot of bulk that is not useful at all and is simply there to make the app seem to do more than it does The first major flaw I found was that there is NO CROPPING TOOL Most people crop their photos and this 20 app can t even do that I prefer my 2 iPad apps over this             Its Okay but not yet worth the price OKCUpandComing
