Photo Frame for Flickr

My family wanted to set up an iPad for my grandfather so he could see family pics from a common Flickr account The idea was that everyone in our family would upload photos to this common account from around the world and they would automatically download and display for my Grandfather in his home This is working very well by the way but I purchased probably 5 photo display apps before finding this one You would think it would not be difficult to get a flickr app right but this is the first one to hit all of our needs Specifically this was the list of needs for my grandfather 1 Be simple could launch and reach photo stream in only one or two really easy buttons 2 Refreshed and started at the beginning of the new pictures every time it was launched even from memory Many many apps fell down here My Grandfather has difficulty with his hands and it was hard to get him to doubleclick and then tap the tiny bouncing X to actually quit a program Most apps refresh only when it is either first started from scratch not running in the background or when it hit the end of the slides and looped When you start up the app after it has been asleep other apps would start where it left off so my Grandfather could not easily check to see if new photos had arrived He had to instead sit and wait 20 minutes for it to loop then see the new photos and repeat again This was made worse by a lack of 3 in most apps 3 Had to be able to skip forward and back by swipe He likes being able to go back and show his friends specific pictures That was really it This photo frame was the only one I have found to do all of them Only thing it could do better would be to play the Flickr videos too but I am happy Aaron                 Best app I have found for my grandfather to see family pics

The images look great but without filtering by collections sets and tags Im a little disappointed Also adding a little bit of the old Ken Burns Effect would be awesome           Polished but incomplete

Great looking interface but it displays images poorly Doesnt make sense when you want to see beautiful images in their original quality Also you should be able to view Flickr sets and not just a linear view starting with your most recent images        Compresses Images

I want to set my dad up to see grandkid photos Simple right Just point it at my photo stream Except he has to authenticate to do that even though its a public stream        Need to sign in to view my pictures

From the creator of Mobile Photos I expected much more than the basics        Looks great no options for sets or randomizing
