Pilot Atlas is a complete offline map of the world with almost 45 000 airports and over 120 000 Navpoints This is the first version of the App, it includes the whole world and is sold ...
I just bought this and am very disappointed The atlas is very low resolution For example I live in Colorado and Pikes Peak does not appear on the map nor do any other mountains As you zoom in on the map the details disappear and the print is so small you need a magnifying glass to read it Save your money on this one Not worth it     Poor In Every Way James R. I too am an international airline pilot flying to all parts of the globe This app does not work Should also come with a tutorial I would not want this if it were free How do I get a refund They should be paying us to use it     Awful MD11Capt2001
I am an International airline pilot flying to Europe and South America After two months of use Pilot Atlas has not once paired with my Bad Elf Pro     It just doesn t pair with my Bad Elf Pro greghoggatt
Worked good first day After the map has a problem in that it will not scroll east from Honolulu toward Japan past around mid Pacific Maybe area of Midway or Guam You can scroll West all the way around over Europe to get to orient and Eastern Pacific but that s a pain Also on the converter under tools there is no ability to use decimal to look at conversion For example if you want to convert 7 miles to meters or whatever But you can do it by first clicking on 0 That will produce 0 0000 then just delete backwards until you get to tenths Again doable but a pain Would be helpful to have decimal button I like search features Hope they put out a update to free up the map from freezing mid pacific         Pilot Atlas Lter
Works well unless you route cross the dateline break in the map My course line disapears if I zoom in I just bought this app last week and it worked on the ground I finally got to try it in flight but my position no longer shows on the map since the update to version 2 2 2 My ALWAYS selection in iOS LOCATION SERVICES settings will not stay active after I go back to the app There is no selection when I return to settings I am using a BAD ELF PRO GPS working fine in all other apps and showing connected in the Bad Elf app I have the same problem on my new Air 2 iPad and my iPhone 5S n my route from PHNL TO PKMJ Fix that and it gets 5 stars     Atlas Davenrino
Could be a great app but the GPS function doesn t work It worked the first flight then it quit Even reinstalling the app couldn t fix the problem     GPS function u s Nils 2288
I like that it s got all the intersections and nav aids If I criticize at all the controls are not particularly intuitive I think the controls could use some reworking I use it on some pretty long haul flights It s been useful for general situational awareness                 It s the best atlas that I ve found Charles Strader
This app is a great bargain for twelve dollars You can follow along using a GPS and it has a worldwide database I use it in a commercial airliner and it has been great for situational awareness                     Great app iPadBrian
Maybe Pilot Atlas means something else in other countries but in the US it s always been similar to a road map for cars with the airways overlaid on it so you could identify what you saw on the ground or explain points of interest to your passengers I even had one that listed all the a m radio stations locations This map doesn t even show large lakes in my area or highways etc so its basically useless I already have my piloting crap nav screen in the cockpit so I know where the VOR s are I need to relate to what s on the ground so there needs to be more detail like a typical hard copy old style paper Pilot Atlas book         Pilot Atlas Peevil
It works good It s missing some waypoints and not up to date though Being able to put multiple waypoints would be great             Good blueoreas
